Donna Ann Gregg

Donna Gregg, 74, of San Angelo passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at home.

Memorial graveside services will be at a later date in Smithwick Cemetery in Burnet County.

Mrs. Gregg was born on September 16, 1947 in Burnet to Alton Ray and Juanita Maude Tucker Wilkes. Donna was raised in Bloomington and graduated from Bloomington High School in 1966. She married her soulmate, Bruce Gregg, on April 8, 1978 in Austin. Bruce's job in the communication field took them to Show Low, Arizona in 1979 where they survived the first three months in a tent during monsoon season. In 1992 they returned to Texas and settled in San Angelo. Donna volunteered at San Angelo Community Medical Center for 22 years and managed the gift shop until her health would no longer permit.

She is preceded in death by her parents and an infant granddaughter, Britney Michelle Gregg.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Bruce Gregg; two daughters, Kimberley Utter and husband Bryan of Boerne and Lyn Hawkins and husband Kevin of Livingston; two sons, David Gregg of Florida and Larry Gregg and wife Darlene of Pearland; two brothers, William H. Wilkes and wife Vacia of Perkins, Oklahoma and Alton R. Wilkes, Jr. and wife Mary of Granbury; a sister-in-law, Alexa J. Ray and husband Robert of Edmund, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Antonio Leija

Antonio "Tony" Leija, 56, of San Angelo passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at home.

Memorial services will be planned at a later date. Cremation and arrangements will be under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mr. Leija was born on July 9, 1965 in San Angelo to Jose and Guadalupe Garcia Leija. Tony was a custodian at the Tom Green County Library for many years. He later worked at Hirschfeld Steel, Shepherd Seal Coating, and Coverlay Manufacturing. Tony loved fishing, camping, working on his truck, and barbecuing. 

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Carol Leija.

Tony is survived by his two brothers, Raymond Leija and Juan Leija, both of San Angelo; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Hal Thomas Churchill

Hal Thomas Churchill, 96, passed away Monday, February 7, 2022, in Eden.

Mr. Churchill was born September 22, 1925 in Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma to Mont and Emma Churchill. Hal graduated from Ft. Cobb Schools. Hal was a veteran of the US Navy serving during WWII. After returning from his service in the Navy Hal enrolled at Oklahoma A&M, where he graduated with a bachelor's in agriculture. After graduation Hal went to work for the USDA as a Market News Reporter. Hal retired after 30 years, with the last 20 years being here in San Angelo. Hal's passion in life was rodeos, calf roping, and training calf horses. Hal would always be one to help the kids learn to rope. Hal had a strong faith in God. Hal enjoyed going dancing with friends later in life. He was still dancing at 90 years old.

Survivors include his son, Tony Churchill of Carlsbad; his granddaughter, Katy Shanklin and husband Asa of Rocksprings; their three children, Saige, Azlyn, and Tildyn; his grandson, Tell Churchill and wife Natalee of Ft. Cobb; their children, Gentry, and Emma; a cousin, Eldon Dudley; and many lifetime friends.

No services are scheduled at this time. Memorial services will be at a later date. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Sharon Westbrook Vickery

Sharon Westbrook Vickery, 84, of San Angelo passed away on February 11, 2022 surrounded by her family. 


Sharon was born February 28, 1937, in Crockett, Texas to Oliver and Georgianna Westbrook. She grew up in Odessa, Texas and attended Odessa Junior College. 


Sharon was a wonderful and devoted mother and friend to many. She loved dancing, animals, traveling, playing games, and most of all family gatherings. Her proudest moments were times spent with her grandchildren. 


Sharon was married to Leo McFarlin for 28 years, being blessed with 3 children. After Leo’s passing in 1984, Sharon married Bill Vickery, on January 19, 1991. 


Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Leo, second husband Bill, and brother George Westbrook. She is survived by her brother Oliver Belmont Westbrook, Jr of Oklahoma, her children Cindy and husband, Jon Achilles of Gilbert, Arizona, Dana Hamilton of San Angelo, Texas, Curt McFarlin and partner Michael McHale of Lyons, Colorado, Dawn Vickery of Ingleside, Texas, Gayle and husband, Terry Holcomb of Wall, and Jill and husband, Albert Flores of Ingelside, Texas; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. 


Flowers can be sent to Harper Funeral Home in San Angelo, Tx. Donations in Sharon’s name can be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association. 


A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church on February 16, 2022.

Rafael "Ray" Gonzales

Rafael Ramon (Ray) Gonzales of San Angelo, TX, age 65, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 10th, 2022, at Shannon Hospital in San Angelo, TX. Ray was born on May 4th, 1956, at Ballinger Memorial Hospital to Rafael and Emma Gonzales in Ballinger, TX. He was a 1975 graduate of Ballinger High School. Ray worked as a contractor at R&S Construction for over 24 years.

Ray was very much an outdoorsman where he spent time fishing, hunting, swimming, woodworking, and barbecuing for his family and friends. Ray will always be remembered for his uncanny way of making people around him laugh while sharing stories of his youth along with his large infectious smile. Ray happily spent out the remaining days of his life with his partner Heather Wilson.

Ray is survived by his daughter and sons, Rachel Y. (Eddie) Mata, Matthew Gonzales, Nicholas Gonzales, Garrett Gonzales; his mother, Emma Gonzales; a brother, Julian Gonzales; three sisters, Linda Ruiz Gonzales, Amelia Whitsel, Yvonne Trevino; Grandson, Joshua Mata; many nieces and nephews; partner, Heather Wilson; Heather’s daughter Elise Woods; grandchildren Jaxon and Bailey who affectionally knew him as “Boom”.

Family, friends and others who knew Ray are invited to the graveside service on Monday, February 14, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.

Felecia Ann Cummings

Felecia Ann Cummings was born June 30, 1961, in San Angelo, TX to Gloria Ellison. She left her earthly home on February 4, 2022. She graduated from San Angelo Central High school in 1978 and went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Education from Angelo State University. A lover of life, Felecia never met a stranger. She was always the life of the party and lit up every room that she graced. Felecia cared for so many people and went out of her way to make sure that those in her life knew the reach of her love. It was truly limitless. 


Though she was a biological mother of two, she mothered anyone who came across her doorstep in need of comfort and care. She loved the lord and lived her life in a way that exemplified servitude to him. Felecia, Lisa Ann, Tutta, Sugar, known in many different ways, but loved the same across the board. She will be greatly missed. 


Felecia was preceded in death by her mother Gloria Ellison, father Jimmie Ellison, sisters Yvonne Gauthier, and Darlene and Marlene Ussery, as well as her late husband Jeffery Cummings. She is survived by her son Clifton White Jr. and his wife Lauren, daughter Skylar White and her husband Seth, sister Laverne Gordon, brother Jimmie Ellison Jr., granddaughter Eisleigh White, nephew Darrell Ussery and wife Alyssa, nephew Greg Ussery and niece Jacqueline Franklin, nieces Lacresha Skaggs and Itiana Ellison, nephews Jimmie Ellison III and Javon Ellison, niece Nitra Mack and nephew Clarence Smith Jr., as well as a host of aunts, grand-nieces and nephews, cousins, close friends, and loved-ones. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Friday Feb 11, 2022. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 12, 2022 at New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ in San Angelo with Pastor Anthony Harris officiating.

Alan Ray "Bill" Daughtery

Alan Ray "Bill" Daugherty, 83, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2022.

Family visitation will be Monday, February 14, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Robert Massie Funeral Home in San Angelo.

Graveside Masonic rites will be given at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 15, 2022 in Fairview Cemetery, Bronte, by Masonic Lodge #520. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Alan was born in Childress County, Texas on June 16, 1938. He met and married the love of his life, Donna Brunson, on November 12, 1965. The marriage was an instant family with Mark and Laurie whom he loved and raised as his own children. His son Heidel was born into the family soon after. He was a loving husband and father who was very proud of all of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Alan retired from GTE in 1991 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 570 in San Angelo.

Alan is preceded in death by his parents Edgar Ray Daugherty and Alma Fannie Daugherty, brothers James, Joe, Gene and sisters Dot Mason and Sue Cash.

Alan is survived by his wife of 56 years, Donna Brunson Daugherty of San Angelo; his three children, Heidel Daugherty and husband Rob Kelly of Spring, Mark Saunders of Bronte and Laurie Saunders of San Angelo; his brother, Micky Daugherty of Victoria; three Grandchildren, Judd Toeppich and wife Brandi of Comanche, Bailey Leeton and husband Drew of Sweetwater, Gus Saunders and wife Jennifer of San Angelo; five great grandchildren, Hagen Leeton, Hylan Leeton, Levi Saunders, Levi Toeppich and Myla Toeppich; and several nieces and nephews.

Fidel Flores, 78, of San Angelo passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022 in San Angelo.


Public viewing will be from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, February 11, 2022 at Robert Massie Funeral Home.


Family visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, February 11, 2022 at Robert Massie Funeral Home.


Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Pastor Alex Tenorio, pastor at House of Restoration Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.


Mr. Flores was born on November 28, 1943 in Mexico. Fidel moved to San Angelo in 1960s. He worked at cotton gins in Wall, Mareta, and Veribest. He enjoyed collecting antiques, including old cars, tools, and anything else he could find. He enjoyed riding his bike, around his neighborhood, for exercise. Fidel was a Christian and enjoyed visiting with others about his savior, Jesus Christ. He never met a stranger and was a loving neighbor. 


Fidel was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Christopher Flores.


Survivors include his seven children, Fidel Flores, Jr. and wife Jovita of Garland, Alfredo Flores and wife Griselda and Ana Cabrera and husband Jose, both of San Angelo, Ruben Flores and wife Claudia, Gerardo Flores and wife Eva, Miguel Flores and wife Elida, and Aracely Flores and Husband Horacio Banda, all of Acuña, Mexico; a sister, Anita Flores of Acuña, Mexico; a brother, Ignacio Flores and wife Maria Elena of Mexico City; the mother of his children, Olga Zapata; 23 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Delmer Clarence Jackson

Delmer Clarence Jackson was born October 9, 1934 in Caddo County, Oklahoma to Elsberry (Elzie) and Mary Pearl Sadler Jackson. Delmer was a member of the First Baptist Church in Baird, TX. Delmer was raised on the family farm in Oklahoma. He contracted Polio at the age of two and was left with a bad foot for the rest of his life. His sister, Myrtle taught him to how to walk again by holding onto a little red wagon while she pulled it. His bad foot didn’t slow him down for long! Delmer was a hard worker all his life beginning with work in the fields of Oklahoma in his youth. After moving to Texas at nineteen, he worked for Paul and Velma Haley driving a truck. He continued working for them until they sold their business in 1974. After that a friend, Joe Kinney, who had a drill collar inspection business in Hobbs, NM trained him. Then, Delmer started his own drill collar inspection business in 1975. Delmer was a very successful business man. He retired in 1998 after 23 years of business. After retirement, Delmer, his wife Barbara and their two dogs Precious and Lucky picked up and went on a vacation of a lifetime in their camper. They traveled to all over the US including Yellow Stone National Park, Alaska, down the west coast and back through Las Vegas and Arizona to get back home in Eldorado, TX. 


Delmer married his beautiful bride, Barbara Shelton in Baird, TX on December 4, 1954. They just celebrated their 67th anniversary together. Delmer and Barbara had two sons together, James (Jim) Berry Jackson and Jerry Alan Jackson. For over thirty years Delmer and Barbara called Eldorado, TX home. In 2015 they moved to San Angelo, TX to live with their son, Jerry so they could take care of each other. 


Delmer was preceded in death by his parents, his son Jim Jackson in May of 2009 and his son Jerry Jackson in November of 2021. He was also preceded in death by his sister Myrtle Strange, brother Carl Jackson as an infant, brother Raymond Jackson, brother Canelous Jackson, a very special cousin Mike Sadler, nephew Mearle Strange and great nephew Anthony Baker. 


Delmer is survived by his wife Barbara Jackson of San Angelo, TX; sister Louise Booth of Clyde, TX; grandson James (Luke) Jackson and wife Brittany Jackson and great grandson Jarrett Jackson of San Angelo, TX; granddaughter Melissa Bergmann and husband Danny Bergmann and great grandson Andrew Bergmann and great granddaughter Ruth Bergmann of Monahans, TX. He was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved him dearly. 


The family would like to thank Dr. Grannighan, Dr. Blanch, Dr. Romatowski, Dr. Ballard, Dr. Bradley, Dr. Johnston and Diane Alford who all took wonderful care of Delmer over the years. Special thanks to Dr. Harris of Shannon Rehab and Dr. Miller at Shannon Hospital. Also, a very big thank you to all the nurses at Shannon who took wonderful care of Delmer at the end of his life on earth. 
We all loved Delmer (Dad and Pappy) so very much. He will be missed until we all join him again in heaven. 


A funeral service will be held at Harper Funeral Home on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM with a graveside at 3:00 PM at Ross Cemetery, in Baird, TX.
