Steven Mitchell "Butch" Lazenby

01/04/2022 - 10:16 , by TKing09

Steven Mitchell Lazenby, known by most as “Butch,” passed from this life on December 21, 2021, at 38 years of age in San Angelo, Texas. He was born on December 22, 1982, in Andrews, Texas to Paula and Andy Lazenby. He attended Tarleton State College where he majored in Agricultural Studies.

Steven was a mechanic at heart and could fix nearly anything. He loved barbequing for family holidays and get-togethers. Everyone always looked forward to Steven’s turkeys done on the grill. And, if you were ever looking for Steven, you would find him in the shop reading his Bible, smoking his pipe, listening to records or taking time to watch a few duck hunting videos.

Steven had a love of God, family, and hunting…in that order. He loved with fierceness equal to the love God has for us all. He was a proud member of the Christian Men’s Network where he was able to graduate and obtain his sword. That was one of the proudest moments of his life. Three words that sum up Steven’s life are “Faith over imperfection.” And, Ephesians 6:10-17, “the whole armor of God,” was Steven’s goal.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lazenby (Francis); his son, Gavriel Matthew Lazenby and his step-son Michale De La Rosa; Mother, Paula Lazenby; Father, Andy Lazenby; other family members: Jesse Lazenby, Christina Garcia, Wesley Lazenby, Sr., Wesley Lazenby, Jr., WaDonna Lazenby, Jeremiah Medina, Arianna Mendez, Madison Lazenby, Alyssa Lazenby and Jesse Lazenby Jr.

The family extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and kindnesses shown during this most difficult time.

Services will be held at TLC on January 8, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. He is in the care of Harper Funeral Home who is happy to provide additional information if needed.

Raymond Dexter Huff Jr.

12/31/2021 - 09:23 , by TKing09

Raymond Dexter Huff Jr. was 64 years old and lived in San Angelo, Texas until his un-timely death on December 13th, 2021. He passed away with acceptance and peace at his residence in San Angelo, Texas.

Raymond was born on May 31st, 1957, in Limestone, Maine. His parents were Bessie Huff and Raymond Huff Sr. and was raised on the North side of town in the Lake View area. He had three sisters named Sally, Shirley, Debbie, and a brother named Robert. Raymond married Windilina R. Huff on April 15th, 1976. When he was younger, he went to school at Lincoln Jr. High and Graduated from Lakeview Highschool. Raymond attended one year at Angelo State University and multiple schools throughout his military career in the United States Air Force. He left the military service with Honorable Service as a weapons specialist in the rank of Sergeant. His hobbies were spending time with family, fishing, watching sports such as basketball (Lakers), football (Dallas Cowboys). When he was younger, he loved teaching his son how to play sports (football, baseball, basketball, swimming).

Raymond is survived by his son John M. Huff and his wife Kimberly A. Huff; his granddaughters Bella, Sophia, Layla, and soon to be born baby Alita Huff; his sisters Shirley Lawrence, and Debbie Phillips; and his nephews Dustin Huff, Christopher Lawrence, Bryan Phillips, and his niece Kelsey Guerrero. He was widowed by Windilina R. Huff on March 19th, 2006.

A memorial was held on December 18th, 2021, located at his sister Debbie’s house. His son John was the Speaker and along with his aunt and family they hosted a small memorial with close friends. Raymond will be cremated, and his ashes will be spread across the ocean in the same manner that his wife was in order to be together once again.

A GOFUNDME account was opened to help his son with all arrangements. John would like to thank all his family members, his Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity brothers, his military family of the United States Army Divers (7th, 74th, 86th, 511th, and 569th Detachments), and all the friends that know John and his father for the continued support and love everyone has shown the family during this time. A life lesson was learned during this time, and it was to talk to family, know your family, be family. Talk to friends, know your friends, be a friend because they are who help shape your life whether it is from something good or bad, you will learn from it. In a blink of an eye, people leave this world and if you are unable to talk or help to the ones you care about you create the “What if?”. Avoid the “What if?” by talking to the ones you care about, even if it’s a simple five-minute conversation. That moment in time could help someone out and eventually they could in return help others as well. Three words that described Raymond Huff was that he was always “Dedicated to Sacrifice”. He continuously sacrificed time with family to ensure that they were taken care of. He would sacrifice everything just to be with the ones he loved most.
