Christina Ramirez Carrasco, 78, passed away Monday, October 14, 2024, at her home surrounded by family.

Public viewing will be from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass will be 10:00 AM Monday, October 21, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Joey Faylona, officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mrs. Carrasco was born July 24, 1946 in San Angelo to David and Guadalupe Ramirez. Christina has been a lifelong resident of San Angelo. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant from 1968-1969. She worked at Nathan's Jewelry, and at Goodfellow Airforce Base. Christina loved shopping, dancing, listening to music, dressing up, playing Pac-Man, and making memories with family members. Her favorite color was Orange but loved bright happy colors. Christina was a loving and caring person who brought joy and happiness to those around her. Christina was someone who those around her could turn to during their hardships.

Survivors include her husband, Raul Hernandez; a son, Hector Ramirez; five daughters, Brenda Perales and husband Geraldo, Francis Martinez, Carol Gomez, Ramona Martinez and Michelle Carrasco and husband Manuel Moncibais, Jr.; 17 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, and numerous great-great grandchildren.

Christina's pallbearers will be Manuel Moncibais, Jr., Gerardo Perales Sr., Marcos Chapa, Michael Moncibais, Christopher Garcia, and Brandon Perales, and her honorary pallbearer is Manuel Moncibais, III.

The family would like to thank the staff at High Plains Senior Care Hospice for their loving care.

Donaldo Armendarez Alcala was born May 26, 1963, in Fort Worth, Texas. He passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024, in Knickerbocker, Texas. Don graduated from the University of North Texas. Don’s career was in the Commercial Walk-in Cooler/Freezer manufacturing industry for 37 years. 

He loved his family and friends with all his heart. He was dedicated to living a full life. He was the most generous and kindhearted person and leaned heavily on his faith. He loved the outdoors and working on his land in Knickerbocker, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents Torivio and Catalina Alcala, many aunts, uncles, cousins and great friends.

He is survived by his wife Robin Alcala of 38 years. Son Cordero Alcala, wife Lauren, Daughters Ceceley Benes, husband Jesse. Courtney Key, husband Dalton. Grandchildren Corbin, Colton, Toby and Guinevere. Sisters Esther Allen, Lilia Alcala and Liza Alcala.

Rosary will be Friday, October 18th at 6pm & Mass will be Saturday, October 19th @ 10 am at Immaculate Conception Mission in Knickerbocker Texas.

Reeder Price, 96, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 12, 2024 in San Angelo, TX. Reeder was born in 1928 in Andrews County, part of the third generation of Prices in Andrews. He rode on his first cattle drive at the age of 5. Reeder attended Andrews High School, then joined the US Army Air Corps. Later, he was the co-owner of Herzberger Appliance store for 10 yrs, worked 31 yrs as the County Treasurer and then, the County Auditor.

For 20 yrs Reeder volunteered as the City Probation Officer, 9 yrs as the Veterans Service Officer and 30 yrs with the Salvation Army. He also served as president of the Texas County Treasurer Assoc., the Andrews Country Club and the Rotary Club.

Reeder loved to grow black-eyed peas and tomatoes, play golf (even in Hawaii) and meet the “old men” for coffee at Cassidy’s. He was one of a kind!

He married Patricia Stilwell in 1951, and they celebrated 72 beautiful years together.

Survivors are children Frank (Linda) Price and Rene’ (Jim) Wilcher; grandchildren Zach Edwards, Caleb (Ashley) Edwards, Rachel (Cody) Hall, Reeder Pat (Megan) Price; Nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother Bob (Bonnie) Price and sister Jean Fowler.

Reeder was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, grandson Daniel Price Breyman, brothers Bubs and Bill, and sisters Grace, Juanita and Joan.

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Janie Robledo on September 20,2024, at the age of 55. She was born to Domingo Ramirez and Ricardo Robledo on May 30, 1969.

Janie leaves her two sisters, Maria Rangel and Trinedad Robledo and her brother, Frankie Rivera, who hold her dear in their hearts, despite life's challenges.

Throughout her life, Janie touched countless hearts with her kindness and compassion. We take comfort in the memories we shared with her. Rest in peace, Janie. You will never be forgotten.

Jesus Marquez, 87, of San Angelo passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024 at his residence.

The visitation will be from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Thursday, October 17, 2024 with Rosary beginning at 6:00 pm at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. A celebration of life service will be held Friday, October 18, 2024, 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mr. Marquez was born on March 29, 1937, in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, to Margarita Oviedo and Jose Marquez. Jesus grew up in Piedras Negras with his family. He moved to San Angelo in 1984 where he worked for the family business Marquez Bakery as a baker until his retirement in 2017.

Jesus married the love of his life, Carmen Salinas on April 11, 1964, they had four sons; Jesus Jr., Fernando, Jose, and Armando.

Jesus enjoyed baking and gardening. He took pride in how his yard looked and loved being outdoors caring for his rose bushes and trees. He loved watching sports, baseball and boxing and even attended a few Texas Rangers games. His favorite team was the Los Angeles Dodgers and if you ever visited the Marquez Bakery, you could see him wearing a Dodgers cap. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.

He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Carmen Marquez of San Angelo; sons, Jesus Marquez, Jr., Fernando Marquez and wife Berta of Eagle Pass, Jose Raul Marquez, and Armando Marquez and wife Lidia of San Angelo. He was a loving grandfather to Vanessa N. Marquez, Jesenia Jo Marquez, Fernando Andres Marquez, Frank Rodriguez, Mariah Marquez, Aleina Marquez, Erica Velez, Naomi Marquez, Oksana Marquez and nine great grandchildren. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Esteban Marquez, Jose "Pepe" Marquez, Sisters; Julia and Rosa Marquez; and a precious granddaughter Amber Mariah Marquez.

The pallbearers will be Fernando Marquez, Armando Marquez, Frank Rodriguez, Marco Bustos, Erasmo Bustos, and Marco Bustos, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Jesus Marquez, Jr., Jose Raul Marquez, and Fernando Andres Marquez.

Le encantaba ver deportes, béisbol y boxeo e incluso asistió a algunos juegos de los Rangers de Texas. Su equipo favorito eran los Dodgers de Los Ángeles y si alguna vez visitabas la Panadería Márquez, podías verlo con una gorra de los Dodgers. También le gustaba pasar tiempo con su familia.

Fue un abuelo amoroso para Vanessa N. Mary Lou's journey through life was shaped by her unwavering love for her family and her remarkable spirit. On December 25, 1946, she married her soulmate, Marion Rivers, in a beautiful ceremony in Matador, Texas. Together, they built a life rich with love, laughter, and lasting memories until his passing. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her devoted siblings, Dale Jackson and Joyce Jameson.

Mary Lou is lovingly remembered by her family: her daughter, Deb Babcock and her husband, James Babcock; daughter Linda Padgett; daughter Kristi Brokaw and her husband Kent; and son Craig Rivers and his wife Vivan. She was a proud grandmother to D'Dawn Fuller and her husband Jeff, Dory Cawyer, Kelci Brokaw and her husband Jon Clark, K'dee Brokaw and her husband Mercer McGuire, Keri Hamilton and her husband Tyler Hamilton, and Jarik and Conan Rivers. She adored her great-grandchildren: Clay, Hank, and Jack Fuller; Bradley and Elizabeth Hamilton; Maverick Boland; Eve Lou McGuire; and Riley Rivers.

Mary was an ardent lover of family gatherings, where laughter, love, and connection reigned supreme. She found joy in celebrating life’s simple pleasures, from swooning over Hallmark movies to piecing together beautiful puzzles. The greatest joy of her life was always being surrounded by her family, who were her pride and joy.

Mary Lou will always be remembered for her grace, integrity, and remarkably gentle spirit. She touched the lives of many and leaves behind a legacy of deep compassion and unwavering love. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of calling her mother, Granny, GG and friend. May her spirit live on in the laughter and love of those she cherished most.

As we remember Mary Lou Rivers, let us hold on to the memories she left us, filled with kindness, laughter, and unconditional love. She will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Josephine Juarez Carrillo died peacefully at home on October 10, 2024 one month shy of her 98th birthday. She was born to Adolfo Juarez and Leonarda “Naya” Bastardo Juarez on November 11, 1926 in San Angelo, Texas. She married her beloved, Meregildo “Mere” Carrillo in 1946 and together they built a loving home for their three daughters – Ernestina, Eliza and Esther.

Josephine, also known as “Fita” and “Josie” lived through nearly a century of change. Born at a time when women’s roles were relegated to the home, she readily embraced the opportunities the changing society allowed. Fully bilingual, she and her girlfriends ventured beyond the constraints of their traditional families and experienced life outside the barrio. She was proud to be fluent in two cultures and was able to pick and choose from the best that each had to offer. Always a beautiful woman, Josephine was a trend setter – wearing the latest fashions, loving to attend both Mexican and Western dances and adopting new technology as it emerged.

Josephine attended Sam Houston Elementary School through the 7th grade. As a young woman she worked in a flower shop and at a local hotel as an elevator operator. Once she became a mother, she stayed home to raise her daughters but returned to the work world when they begin school. She worked as a housekeeper for several prominent families in San Angelo and later went on to work as a cook in various settings including Angelo State, Goodfellow Air Force Base and Headstart.

Josephine never knew the meaning of boredom. She kept a beautiful, immaculate house and was a wonderful cook. She was an exquisite quilter and embroiderer. Her work was beautiful, detailed and unique. Her greatest pleasure was displaying her quilts and having them admired. Until the last few months of her life she could be found sitting in her recliner embroidering or scrolling through YouTube videos looking for new stitches to learn. 

Josephine left an indelible impression on anyone who had the privilege to meet her. Her incredibly detailed memory, coupled with her storytelling skills left those around her in awe. To sit with her, even for a brief time, allowed one to learn the history of San Angelo and its inhabitants. Young people often sought her out seeking assistance in filling in gaps in their own family histories.

Josephine will be missed by her daughters, Ernestina and Eliza, who will love her to the end of time. They remain forever grateful for the sacrifices she and their father made on their behalf to assure that they would have all the opportunities they were denied. Josephine saw beauty everywhere, even in the tiniest rock on the ground. Her daughters will keep her memory alive by continuing to seek the beauty the universe provides and appreciating the shape of the clouds in the sky, listening to the songs of birds as the sunset and seeing the possibilities that a needle, thread and a fabric remnant provides. Josephine will be the spiritual quilt that will protect them throughout their lives.

Josephine is preceded in death by her mother and father, Leonarda and Adolfo Juarez; her husband, Meregildo Carrillo; her youngest daughter, Esther Sutton; her brothers, Frank “Boy” Juarez; Gabriel “Lel” Juarez, and Pablo Juarez. She is survived by her daughters, Ernestina Carrillo (Larry Polon) from Berkeley, California and Eliza Ann Payne (Sam) of San Angelo, Texas; her brother Inez “Nacho” Juarez; two granddaughters Conchita and Eliana; and two great granddaughters Josie and Sylvie; several loving first-cousins, nephews and nieces.

Josephine’s daughters want to thank the family and friends who filled their mother’s life with laughter and love and who were at her side through all the joys and sorrows that life offers. They also want to thank the caretakers who made her life comfortable and helped fulfill her wish to remain in her own home until the moment of her last breath.

Linda A. Shaw Hutchins of San Angelo, Texas passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. 

She was born on June 20, 1947 in Vallejo, California to Hiram J. Shaw and Gladys E. Rosentreter. Linda graduated from high school in 1965. After, she began her career working for the Army Air Force Exchange. Linda married Michael O'Neal and the couple welcomed 3 children into the world. Linda later married Michael J. Hutchins on December 15, 1989. 

Linda was a beacon of light to those around her. She always knew how to brighten up a room and bring joy to others. In addition to her vibrant smile, Linda will always be remembered for her passion for reading Daniel Steele novels, cross stitching, and collecting chicken figurines. 

Linda was preceded in passing by her parents, Hiram and Gladys Shaw; and daughters, Monica B. O'Neal and Kimberli O'Neal. 

Left to cherish Linda's beloved memory are her husband, Michael J. Hutchins; Children, Leslie Quiroz, Michelle M. Perry, Mark A. Hutchins; grandchildren, Ashlie M. Quiroz, Jesus T. Aquero III, Sierra L. O'Neal, Krystal M. Gaines Thornton, Melissa R. Gaines and Victor D. Gaines; great grandchildren, Alyssa M. Mendez, Lorelai A. Thornton, and Sophia M. Rose Gaines; and siblings, Denise Shaw Warner, Stanley Jack Shaw and Philip Wayne Shaw. Linda also leaves behind numerous extended family members.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Johnson's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Monday, October 14, 2024 at Johnson's Funeral Home with Pastor Chad Fogle officiating. Interment will follow at Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.

Geneva Mae Martin Parks went to meet her maker on October 6, 2024. Geneva was born on March 15, 1935 to Biddy, Sr. and Dilly Waldrum Martin in Del Rio, Texas. She lived a unique early life growing up in the Big Bend area. In 1954, Geneva married Jim Parks of Fort Stockton, Texas. Over their 60 year marriage, they resided in Fort Stockton, Burnett and Sonora, Texas. Geneva had multiple interests, but above all she was the guiding matriarch of her family. Geneva is survived by two sons, Will Parks and wife Janis, and Marty Parks and wife Cathy, 5 grandchildren, Joel Parks and wife Arley, Lauren Davis and husband Lance, Jared Parks and Rita Martinez, Clayton Parks and Marci Parks, 8 great-grandchildren, Chloe and Ryder Carrol, Clair, Sophie and Piper Davis, Ellie, Brody and Nora Parks, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the many angels who cared for her at Schleicher County Nursing Home and Concho Hearts hospice. She loved you all. A memorial service will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church in Sonora, Texas on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 11:00a.m.

Oralia "Lolly" Terrazas went to heaven surrounded by family and prayers on Friday, October 11, 2024.

Viewing will be from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with a rosary at 6:00 PM. Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church with Father Freddy Perez, officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

She was born in Del Rio, Texas on April 25, 1935, to Heraclio and Isabel Dominguez. Oralia was one of five children. She was a beloved mother, which grew to her most proudest role of grandmother and great-grandmother. Oralia enjoyed spending her time sewing, painting, and crafting. She was a Gualalupana and member at St. Margret' of Scotland Catholic Church.

Oralia was greeted in Heaven by many special relatives, including her mother, Isabel Dominguez; her father, Heraclio Domingez; her precious daughter, Patsy Lopez; and her beloved spouse, Leon Terrazas.

She is survived by her 9 children; daughter, Betty Jane Lopez of San Antonio, TX; son, Pedro Lopez of Pennsylvania; daughter, Rebecca DeLaCruz and husband Mack of San Angelo; son, Ricardo Lopez of Washington; son, Leon Terrazas, Jr. and wife Alma of San Antonio; daughter, Natalie Castillo and husband Michael of San Angelo; son, Timothy Terrazas and wife Natalie of San Antonio; daughter, Audrey Lara and husband Joe of San Antonio; son, Marshall Lopez and wife Julie of Kyle; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Aaron Padilla, Jacob Padilla, Richard Torres, Jr., Mikey Scott, Joe Lara and Nathan Terrazas.

The family is grateful for the love and care shown to Grandma Lolly by Audrey Lara and her beautiful family. Words could never express how much we love you all. We also want to thank each one of your kids for all the sacrifices made during this time. Also to the staff of Crest Hospice Care of San Antonio, Helena Alayon, Lorraine Arrington, Thaddeus Greene and Cynthia Livar for all the care and support, while making Grandma Lolly comfortable.
