Daryl Gail Hartman, beloved daughter, mother, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend went to her eternal home on Sunday July 25, 2021. Join us in celebrating her life at 10:00 am, Monday August 2, 2021 at Harper Funeral Home. She was preceded in death by her father Hugh E. Hartman Jr., Paternal Great Grandmother Helen I. Boyle; Grandparents Hugh E. Hartman Sr. and Pearl Marshall Hartman; and Maternal Grandmother Mable Wilhour Bulko. She is survived by a son Michael Kristoffer Haskins, two grandsons Gabe and Luke; her daughter Shelby Lauren Watson and husband Jason, two grandsons Owen and Ethan of San Angelo; her mother Renee Wilhour Hartman of MD; her sister Dr. Cheryl Smith and husband Todd Steinhauer and Cheryl's children, Anthony Smith, Krystal Smith, of Belton, TX, and Dr. Michelle Sims of Alberta, Canada; her sister Nikki and husband Michael Lambert, their children Cameron of San Angelo TX, Carissa and husband Justin Marlowe of NC; her brother Hugh E. Hartman III, his son Austin Hartman, and her brother Robert Hartman of MD. 

Daryl was born in Romulus, NY on December 23, 1953. Her father's military service stationed the family in various places including Frankfurt, Germany where she graduated from Frankfurt High School. Daryl landed in San Angelo when her father retired from the USAF. Her first job was at K-Mart working in the camera department. There she developed a love of photography resulting in her becoming our family photographer. She took many great pictures that will provide a lifetime of memories. Daryl then became employed at Johnson and Johnson's Ethicon working there for 33 years until she happily retired. 

Daryl was known for her thoughtfulness, selflessness, kindness, meekness and for being very humble. She was a peacemaker, encouraging and loving. She loved her whole family with all of her heart. Daryl enjoyed spending time and playing with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events. She loved family events and traveling, usually to visit family. She was innately helpful and sacrificially put others needs before her own. Daryl routinely watched various Christian broadcasts and videos. She attended Paul Ann Church or watched online services. As Daryl's faith grew it became her joy to share God's word with her family. 

Daryl is now free of the stress, strife, and trials of her earthly journey. She is now enjoying complete peace and agape love we can only imagine. She was deeply loved by all her family. Although she will be missed tremendously; there is endless comfort for her family in knowing she was saved. We have faith one day we will see her again. Daryl loved Jesus and He shined through her to all who knew her. Daryl regularly supported Feed the Children and Meals for the Elderly. Our beautiful and wonderful mother, JoAnn Martin, 81, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 23, 2021. She passed away peacefully at home in Baltimore, MD. She was born to Ennis & Willie Polk on December 10, 1940, in Kingsville, Texas. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 61 years, Louis Martin Sr., and one son Jeffery Jerome Martin. 

She is survived by four children: Michael Polk of San Angelo, Louis Martin Jr. of San Angelo, Gerald Martin (Beth), and Angela Martin-Anderson, Ten grandchildren, LaQuisha and Gerald Polk, JoAnn and Tre Martin, Meagan, Moriah, and Mikaela Martin, Ross Spear Martin, Jalen Anderson, and Jorden Anderson, Four sisters, Alvetta Dimrey, Cheryl Crider, Lynell Ellisa, and Patsy Brown. As well as many numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members. 

She grew up in San Angelo, then got married to the love of her life. As a military wife, she did a lot of traveling and never met a stranger. Her life was dedicated to her husband, kids, and family. She had a big heart and a kind spirit. She was well loved by many. Her legacy will live on. 

She was a cook for 20 years at San Angelo Independent School District at Lincoln, Central, and Lamar. She belonged to several social clubs, Lions Club, Rosary Reading, and Arts, and La Coteria. She was an avid bowler and bowled on her teams for many years. She was a mother of the Church at New Birth Full Gospel Assembly. 

She will always be remembered as a sweet, happy lady who always had a smile and a kind word. She was loved and adored by many. She will be missed, as she takes her place as an ANGEL IN HEAVEN! 

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021, from 5:00PM-7:00PM at Harper Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at 11:00AM at St. Paul’s Baptist Church with burial to follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. 
Pallbearers for the service will be Ross Martin, Jalen Anderson, Jorden Anderson, Tony Owens, Clifford Wright, and Seth Lacy.

Wednesday morning July 28th 2021 Judy Killgore died after a year long battle with cancer. She fought till the end not wanting to leave family and friends behind. Being more concerned that they would be okay than how she was doing. 

Judy grew up both as a child of the military and oil field. Traveling the world until she reached San Angelo, Texas. There she finished high school and while doing so met the man she would spend the rest of her life with, Andy Killgore. So on the 15th of July 1978 they got married and started their path together. Then after 5 years of getting to know each other they decided to have children. That is how Ian in 1983 and Sean in 1986 came to be. 

In 1993 she decided to make a change in her career path and become a nurse and went to school. With the guidance of several people and one in particular, Marianne Simpson, she new that becoming an operating room circulating nurse was what she needed to be. 

She worked at Shannon Hospital for almost 10 years and then never having lost the urge to travel she became a travel nurse going all over the U.S. working at hospitals in Arizona, Missouri, Virginia, Maine, Colorado, California and Texas. 

After 6 years of traveling on her own, with frequent visits from Andy wherever she was, Andy joined her in her travels and they wandered the country seeing the Atlantic to the Pacific and then settling in the Rocky Mountains in Lakewood Colorado for the next almost 10 years. 

In 2020 they decided to move back to San Angelo and work a few more years then retire and take up traveling again seeing more of the country than before. Between them they only had a few more states to visit before they had either been to or lived in all 50. 

Then the bad news hit. Diagnosis of terminal cancer. 

Judy, as many can attest, was an amazing nurse. She most often took better care of her patients than she did herself. She was an advocate and took care of the patient as part of a team and also on her own making certain that the care she gave was centered on the patient, whether a child or an elderly person, that they were safe and comfortable. She was also there if the outcome was not good and helped them as best she could. 

Judy loved to have fun as well. When she was a travel nurse she always asked the local people or searched the internet to find out what was going on around her that looked fun or different. She would go these events, festivals and seek out the fun and go to concerts and dance like no-one was watching. 

Judy and Andy could spend day after day together and enjoy each others company with rarely have a cross word. They could have fun doing something, going somewhere or just sitting in silence reading. They always held hands when they walked anywhere. They even held hands in the car driving down the road. Often they were asked if they were just married or still dating. The answer was no that even after more than 40 years “We hold hands because we love each other and like the contact.” 

There were hard times that had to be gotten through and fun times that were enjoyed. Through it all there was LOVE and Judy’s smile. 

There are so many more hours of telling to this story... 

Judy will be missed not just by Andy, Ian and Sean but also by family the people she knew and worked with and also by the patients she will never meet.

Ronald Hollan Anderson, (Buzz, Pawpaw, Grandpa) 81, died on July 25, 2021, after a long battle with a rare form of bone marrow cancer. Ron was born on February 6, 1940, to F.H. and Pauline Anderson in Vincennes, Indiana. The family moved to Texas and settled in Ballinger, where Ron grew up and graduated from Ballinger High School. He joined the U.S. Army in 1961 and served his country until 1967. He was stationed in Alaska and Korea, where he was a teletype operator and Korean Linguist. He was proud to be a veteran and often gave positive examples of his time in the army. When Ron left the army, he came to San Angelo, where he lived and worked for the rest of his life. In 1975, he graduated from Angelo State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Psychology. While he was going to ASU he worked as a truck driver and then a car salesman at Mustang Chevrolet. He went into business, forming Ron Anderson Company, contracting with the Texas Highway Department to mow the state right-of-ways. He was very conscientious in anything he did, always going above and beyond what was required, and was a fair and compassionate employer. He strived to help people who were down on their luck, and in turn, gained a number of loyal workers and lifelong friends. When he retired from the mowing business, he didn’t stay retired for very long, he drove school and city buses and finished his life of employment at Goodyear Proving Grounds, working in the parts department. We know that he would still be working if he had not become ill—he enjoyed working because he enjoyed being around people and made so many good friends along the way. In 1985 Ron met his wife, Jana, at a country music dance class and they danced their way through many of their 36 years of marriage. In addition to country music, he had a passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles. He and Jana made many trips on the Harley to Ruidoso, Austin, Oklahoma City, and Milwaukee (home of H-D), just to name a few. He also loved classic cars, tractors, and most of all, his grandchildren. He was so happy to see all of them, and in his last few years he was constantly frustrated that he could no longer take them on rides on the tractor, motorcycle and Polaris. He could, however, continue to instill in them a respect for hard work, education, and the value of being kind and generous to other people. He always tried to be a good man and a loyal friend and above all, valued those traits in other people. He also enjoyed spending time with his three brothers going to auctions, sales and shopping on Christmas Eve to find the “best bargains”. 
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, and his sons, Ernest Hollan Anderson and Christopher Clay Anderson, his grandson Joshua RJ Anderson, and great-grandson, Joshua Bradley Anderson, brothers-in-law Jeff Butts and Jay Butts. He is survived by his wife, Jana, his son Ronald Edward Anderson and wife Denise, brothers Elton Anderson and wife Carolyn, Raymond Anderson and wife Shirley, Dale Anderson and wife Shirley Ann, sister-in-law Judy Ertman and husband Jerry, brothers-in-law Jerry Butts and wife Tammi, and Kevin Butts and wife Carrie. He will also be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Trey Anderson and wife Krystal, Beverly Anderson, Joe Anderson and wife Eva, Nikki Maiden and husband Brian, and great-grandchildren Leah, Emma and Noah, Canyon, Eddie and Wyatt, Landon and Copelyn. 
Services will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Lake View Bible Church, 4825 Grape Creek Rd. There will be a luncheon at 11:30, Funeral Service at 1:00, followed by burial at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to Meals for the Elderly, the San Angelo Area Foundation (San Angelo Kiwanis Endowment Fund), West Texas Counseling and Guidance, or a charity of your choice.

Leslie "Les" Turner, 80, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021, in San Angelo.

Public viewing will be from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM Friday, July 30, 2021, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Miles Cemetery with Chaplain William Rosser, chaplain at Interim Hospice and Les' nephew, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 Pm Friday, July 30, 2021, at the funeral home.

Mr. Turner was born November 4, 1940 in San Angelo to Lillie and Maxwell Turner. He was raised on the family ranch between Carlsbad and Water Valley with his brother, Roscoe. Les graduated from Water Valley High School in 1959. He received his associates degree from San Angelo College and received his BA in business from Southwest Texas State University. Les married Carolyn Rosser on October 19, 1963 in Miles. Les was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam Conflict as a Green Beret in the 101st Airborne Division in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky and the 3rd Special Forces Group in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. Les was a lifelong resident of the Carlsbad area where he continued the family ranching tradition. He retired from the San Angelo State School where he worked for over 30 years. Les was a volunteer for the Meals for the Elderly and served on the Human Rights Committees at the San Angelo State School after his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Turner; a daughter, Cindy Turner and husband David Skains; a brother, Roscoe Turner; a granddaughter, Rosa Rodela; 3 sisters-in-law, Joann Rosser, Trish Green, and Deb Turner; two nieces, Monica Robinson; Elizabeth Turner; a nephew, Stetson Turner; special nieces and nephews, William and Gwyn Rosser, James and Joellen Rosser, Elaine and Charles Baca, James and Ada Rosser, Rebekah and Steve Strain, Teresa and Ricky Horne, Sherrill Thurber, and their families. Les was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Jennifer Turner in 1992.

Winna Jean Mills (Jean), 98, of San Angelo, TX passed peacefully into her heavenly home on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. 
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 30, 2021, at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo. Arrangements are under the direction of Harper Funeral Home and Crematory with Ryan Buck officiating. 
Jean was born July 22, 1923, in San Angelo to William Charlie Bolin and Francis Elizabeth (Binyon) Bolin. She graduated San Angelo High School in 1941. Jean contributed to the war effort and worked at Goodfellow Air Force Base packing chutes for the pilots and in the office of the 68th School Squadron. Jean married Earl Jackson Mills on October 7, 1944, in San Angelo. They were lifelong San Angelo residents. Jean worked in the attendance office at San Angelo Central High School for 25 years from 1963 until her retirement in 1988. Her aides and many students remember her fondly. Jean was a lifetime member of the PTA having served as President at Reagan Elementary for many years. She was an active member of Immanuel Baptist church for over 70 years, joining the church in 1950. 
Momma loved roses, feeding the birds and the Dallas Cowboys. She enjoyed watching Family Feud and The Price Is Right. She loved to read, work word puzzles, and play bingo. 
Jean is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack Mills, brothers Stanley Bolin and Charles Bolin, son Mike Mills, and daughter Cindy Preas all of San Angelo. 
She is survived by daughters; Karen (Wally) Page of San Angelo, Karla (Bobby) Edmond of Baird, TX, and son; Andy Mills of San Angelo, daughter in law; Betty Mills and son in law; Jerry Preas of San Angelo, grandchildren; William Mills, Cassie (David) Wilson, Valerie (Justin) Saenz of San Angelo, Tracie Page of Harker Heights, Charlie Page and Chelsea Preas of San Angelo, 5 great-grandchildren and 2 great -great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews and many lifelong friends including Doris Pool and Wanda Hudson.

Ester Dykes Behrend Murdock, 94, of San Angelo, went to be with the Lord, on July 25, 2021.

Ester was born in San Angelo, to J.I. and Ernestine Dykes in 1927. Ester attended San Angelo High School and San Angelo College. Ester was active member of the First Presbyterian Church, Trinity Lutheran Church and The Heights Church, all of San Angelo.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Murdock of San Angelo; daughter, Linda Agent of Bronte; son, Doug Lapham and wife Hilaire of Overland Park, Kansas; son, David Behrend and wife Antonia of San Angelo; son, Mark Behrend of Redwood City, California; son, Dwight Murdock and wife Pam of Weatherford, Texas, and son Bill Murdock, Jr. and wife Cindy of South Dakota; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded by her sisters, Birdie Stevenson and Laura O'Neal, and her husbands, Darwin Lapham, and Eric Behrend; son-in-law, Roy Agent; and granddaughter, Melissa Russell,

Hazel Biddie Ferguson, age 89 of San Angelo entered the gates of Heaven on July 24, 2021 in San Angelo.

Public viewing will be on Monday, July 26th from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 27 at 2:00 PM at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Hazel was born in Paint Rock on March 23, 1932 to William Olen and Salley Joiner Baldwin. She married Marvin Jennings Ferguson in Ballinger on February 10, 1949. Hazel was a homemaker and a member of the Eldorado Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of seventy one years, Marvin, on June 11, 2020; and by two brothers, Walter Olen Baldwin and Baby Baldwin. 

Hazel is survived by her three sons, Marvin Jim Ferguson and his wife Karen, Dannie Ferguson of San Angelo, and Mike Ferguson and his wife Cathy of Robert Lee, Texas; a sister -in-law, Dorothy Baldwin of San Angelo; her brother, Douglas Baldwin of San Angelo; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
