Shirley Key Hall

Shirley Key Hall, age 84, of San Angelo passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on Friday, July 23, 2021. Shirley was born to late Ordie Key and Dona Boatright Key on December 4, 1936. Shirley Key married the love of her life Charles E. Hall on March 29, 1952 in San Angelo. Charles and Shirley began their family business, Arrow Plastics and operated that for over 30 years along with starting a family of their own which consisted of 4 amazing children. Shirley enjoyed camping, fishing, playing the lotto, and having big get togethers with family and friends. Her and Charles got their joy from hosting big fish fries and of course watching the Cowboys play. Shirley was mom to not only her 4 children, but also to many nieces and nephews. She was a loving and caring wife and mother. She will be missed greatly by all that knew her. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Charles and Chris Hall, Doris and Bob Wyrick, Joyce Hall, Robert and Lisa Hall; 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.  
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Harper Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00pm. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Grape Creek Cemetery at 10:00am.

Marianne Simpson

Marianne Simpson left her earthly bounds on July 20, 2021 surrounded by family after a short illness. 

She was born in Emporia, Kansas to Clark and Alice Stout on December 23, 1946. She graduated high school in Tooele, Utah and then attended nursing school in Salt Lake City, Utah. 

Marianne enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as a RN specializing in Med/Surg and Critical Care areas. She also spent several years teaching with Howard College. She was passionate about teaching new students and believed in sharing her experiences and knowledge with the nursing community whenever the opportunity presented itself. 

Marianne was surrounded by family and close friends wherever she was. She enjoyed spending time with her husband and friends attending Shrine gatherings, her family at holidays and attending events that her kids and grandkids participated in. 

She is survived by her daughter, Diane Ditmore and husband, Charles of San Angelo, her son, Jon C. Simpson and Amanda Dunlap, of San Angelo, grandchildren Morgan Ditmore and fiancé, Katie Seibert of College Station, TX and Haley Ditmore of San Angelo. She was proceeded in death by her husband, and soulmate, J. Fred Simpson, her parents and her aunt, Clara Sall, who was her nursing mentor as well. 

Visitation will be at Harper Funeral Home Friday, July 23, 2021 from 5:00 -7:00. Services will be held at Sierra Vista United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 2:00 pm followed by burial at Lawnhaven Cemetery. 

Friends are encouraged to sign guest book at Harper Funeral Home and any remembrances can be made to Howard College San Angelo Foundation Marianne Simpson Scholarship Fund 3501 N. US Hwy 67, San Angelo, TX 76905 or visit www.hcsafoundation.org/how-to-give and click donate button and add Marianne Simpson Scholarship Fund in the special instructions. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and all other staff of Shannon Medical Center.

Evelyn M. White

On Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 11:11 am, Evelyn M White ran into the arms of Jesus and her loving husband, Homer, and moved into her forever home in Heaven. Loving mother to Pat and Tim; Grandmother to Michelle, Courtney, Shelby, Tyler and Zack; Great-Grandmother to Taylor, Travis, Keegan, Kinsley and Finn. 

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Homer White, her mother, Esther, her father, Turner; Sisters, Lila and Lois. She is survived by her daughter Pat in Euless, her son, Tim in San Angelo, siblings, Carolyn Watkins, Lucille Foster and Turner Jones, five Grandchildren and five Great Grandchildren, countless friends from Mississippi and Texas. 

Evelyn was a hard working mother and wife of simple faith. After retiring as a hairdresser for more than 20 years, she loved gardening, attending to her iris’, making her home beautiful and singing with her family. She was famous for her gumbo and sweet tea and only Nana could make macaroni and cheese from a box so special that her grandchildren begged for it! We think her secret ingredient was “love”. She was a force of nature and never waivered in her faith in Jesus Christ. Serving as Pall Bearers are; Wolfgang Gloger, Danny McPherson, Seth Monty, Tyler White, Zachary White, Keegan McPherson. Honorary Pall Bearers are Travis Ramsey and Finn Monty. 

There will be a memorial gathering at Harper Funeral Home in San Angelo on Wednesday, July 21st from 9:00 am – 10:30 am, followed by a graveside service at Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery, San Angelo at 11:00 am. For those who are unable to attend in person, please Join us virtually via ZOOM.

Ector Beltran Mireles

Ector Beltran Mireles, 62, passed away July 20, 2021, in Sterling City.

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home in San Angelo.

Mr. Mireles was born May 4, 1959 in Sterling City where he has been a lifelong resident. He married Peggy Lee on January 12, 2000 in Sterling City.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Mireles; two daughters, Elizabeth Rose Simpson and husband Jesse and Katrina Michelle Mireles; a son, Ector Mireles and wife Erica Lane; seven grandchildren, Kayleigh, Ariana, Serenity, Brooke, Jaxxon, Kallista, and Phoenix; three sisters, Mary Trevino and husband Paul, Virginia Ledezma and husband Raul, and Rose Zepata. Ector was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Irene Mireles; and two brothers, Demetro Mireles, and Paul Mireles.
