Detective Tom Daniel retires after 25 years with San Angelo Police Department

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The San Angelo Police Department celebrated Detective Tom Daniel’s retirement after 25 years of service to the City of San Angelo on Friday afternoon. 

Officer Daniel’s law enforcement career began in 1989 in Del Rio, TX where he started  on patrol and moved up to a Detective position before joining the the Permian Basin Drug Task Force in 1992. Officer Daniel worked with the Permian Basin Drug Task Force until he started his career with the San Angelo Police Department in 1997. He has earned the rank of Master Peace Officer II.

“Not only did Officer Tom Daniel serve his community for 25 years, he did it with honor, pride, integrity and dedication. On behalf of the Citizens of San Angelo and the SAPD, thank you and congratulations on your well deserved retirement.”, said San Angelo Police Chief Frank Carter.

Daniel was part of many divisions within the San Angelo Police Department to include: K9, Narcotics, Criminal Investigations, Professional Standards, and finally SAPD’s Training Division. 

 Daniel was presented with a 25 Year Service plaque, a Certificate of Appreciation,  and a flag previously flown over the Police department.

Daniel is a candidate for Justice of the Peace Precinct 2.
