Sharon Ramirez

08/20/2021 - 09:15 , by TKing09

Sharon Kay Newman Ramirez, 70, of San Angelo, went to be with her lord and savior on Friday, August 13, 2021, in San Angelo.

Graveside services 1:00 PM Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa with Rev. Alan Wilson, pastor of First Baptist Church in White Deer, officiating, under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home in San Angelo.

Sharon was born on March 7, 1951, in Amarillo to Hildred Christine Sturgill Newman. Her mother and stepfather Jess Edwards raised her in a loving home in Pampa. After graduating from Pampa High School in 1970, Sharon went on to beauty school and never gave up her love for cutting hair. She was also a dedicated home health caregiver. Sharon was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend who devoted her life to loving her family. She married the love of her life Mario Alberto Ramirez on January 27, 1978, but they shared 47 beautiful years together.

They raised two children together. Lillie Christine Ramirez M. and Joseph Mario Ramirez who she loved unconditionally.

Her passions in life were drawing, painting, collecting spiritual and positive poems, and spending time with her family. She enjoyed going camping in the mountains, horseback riding, hiking, die hard Dallas Cowboys fan and was an avid animal lover. She had two dogs Bo, Sweetie and a cat named Bones. In her lifetime she loved and cared for many horses, other animals and donated to many animal rights charities. Her love for her hobbies and passions was only surpassed by her love for her family. The love she had for them was fierce, unwavering, and unmatched. Her heart was pure and trustworthiness true. She was known for her kindness and sense of humor. She was always the life of the party and there was never a dull moment around her. Her loyalty was impeccable. Sharon loved only one other person as much as her family, Sandi Lasure Braudrick whom she became inseparable in high school with. They were the "bestest of friends" and shared many memories together like their love for cherry mashes, tornado chasing, traveling between Oklahoma, Phoenix, Arizona, and Texas to see one another. Their lifelong dream was to move in together if they ever became widows. Sharon's family would like to thank Sandi for extending Sharon's life by giving her a kidney. We will be forever grateful for your selflessness. Sharon's positive attitude lifted everyone else up around her. Knowing her made others want to try harder and do better. Our beloved Sharon will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

Sharon is survived by her husband Mario who shared a bond with her that was mutual and extended by her laughter. They had their own humor that only they could understand. Most often said the better half of any relationship which is 50% but husband, Mario says Sharon was easily the 90% better half. Sharon is gone but will never be forgotten by her husband. He will continue to love you every day of his life and can't wait to see you again. Smiley faces and kisses. "You will never truly pass as you remain in my heart. Thank you for the memories"

Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Mario Alberto Ramirez; one daughter, Lillie Christine Ramirez M. of San Angelo; one son, Joseph Mario Ramirez of San Angelo; two grandsons, Michael-Tyler Mario Moreno of Melissa, Landry-Austin Hunter Ramirez M. of San Angelo; five granddaughters, Caitlyn-Tayler Christine Ramirez M. of San Angelo, Aaliyah Jade Ramirez of Rockwall, Makinley-Paige Ramirez M., Tatum Kay Ramirez, and Presley Rae Ramirez of San Angelo. Numerous aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews that she loved; brothers-in-law, Jose Ramon "Joe" Ramirez and wife Rachel of San Antonio, Daniel "Danny" Ramirez, and wife Edna of Del Rio, Armando "Mando" Ramirez and wife Judy of Pampa, Alfredo "Freddy" Ramirez, and wife Leticia of San Antonio; Sister-in-law Connie Edwards of Pampa.

She is preceded in death by grandfather, Frank Sturgill; grandmother, Leona May Aduddel Sturgill; mother, Hildred Christine Sturgill Stafford; sisters, Stella Newman Spaulding, Linda Dale Newman, Judy Newman; brothers, Jerry Newman, Dearil Newman, Larry Edwards; aunts, Elwanda Sturgill Honeycutt, and Donna Sturgill; uncles, Dick Sturgill, George Sturgill, Glen Honeycutt; father and mother-in-law, Jose and Lilly Ramirez; sister-in-law, Elia Cortinas Alloy; brothers-in-law, Ricardo Victor "Dicky" Ramirez, Rudolfo "Rudy" Ramirez.

Sharon's family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes. This is a very short list of family; friends lives that she touched and bettered.

In memory of Sharon we ask that you live a little, love a lot and make someone laugh.
