On Saturday, October 29, 2022, William Robert (Bill) Mabe, Sr. went to be with his Lord and Savior. Bill was born on January 29, 1928, in Itasca, Texas to William Terry Mabe and Ollie Bailey Mabe.
He is survived by the love of his life for 73 years, Jo Mabe of San Angelo; daughter Terry Stearns of Matador; son Bill Mabe, Jr. and wife Belinda of Christoval; son Mark Mabe and wife Lucy of Midland; three grandchildren, Clayt Hill of Roaring Springs; Kassi Beshirs and husband Mickey of Roaring Springs; and Emily Mabe of Midland. He is also survived by four great grandchildren, Kyler and Rylynn Beshirs; and Calby and Harlee Hill. He also survived by his sister-in-law, Carol Yaeger.
He was greeted in heaven by so many family members and dear friends. He finally got to meet his mother who passed away when he was 10 months old.
While working in the oil and gas industry for over 50 years, Bill made countless friends and traveled many miles across Texas, calling Fort Stockton and Fredericksburg home.
He loved his family with everything he had and took pride in serving his country by raising and saluting his flag every morning with his favorite little sidekick, Molly, by his side.
