Price Doris Brewer

Doris Brewer Price, 77, went home to be with her Lord on April 22, 2020. She was the widow of Terry D. Brewer and Dodd H. Price. She was born June 15, 1942 in Water Valley, TX. She was the daughter of Albert H. Bradford and Lillian Bradford. She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Revell and Cayla Madrid, both of San Angelo. She is also survived by her loving stepdaughter, Laurie Schaeffer of Grandbury, Texas; 4 grandsons; 2 granddaughters; 8 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She retired from the City of San Angelo as Director of Social Service in 2005. She was a member of First Christian Church of San Angelo. The family wishes to thank St. Gabriel's Hospice and the caregivers that took care of her and became some of her closest friends. Probst Billy Frank

Billy Frank Probst, 70, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2020, in San Angelo.

Memorial Services will be at 6:00 PM Thursday, April 30, 2020, at Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Don Jackson, pastor officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mr. Probst was born September 21, 1949, in San Angelo. Billy was a life long resident of San Angelo. He was a 1967 graduate of Lakeview High School. Billy was a manager of 7-11 Convenance Store for over 30 years before he retired. He attended Bethel Baptist Church. Billy was preceded in death by his mother, Elsie Ray Boykin; a brother, John Wayne Probst, and a sister, Anna Jackson.

Survivors include his father, John Boykin of San Angelo; two nieces Barbara Squires and her husband Greg of Eastland and Judy Jackson of San Angelo; four great nephews, Jeremy, Cody, Jacob, and Jesse Garner; a great niece, Mikki Roberts; and six great-great nieces and nephews.

Ertresvaag Bobbie Kay

Bobbie Kaye Ertresvaag, 74, of San Angelo, TX went to be with our Lord on Saturday, April 18, 2020. She was born on July 1, 1946 in San Angelo to Robert D. and Terry Mae Harrell. Katy attended General HH Arnold High School in Wiesbaden, Germany and graduated in the class of 1964. She later went on to obtain her nursing degree from Shannon School of Nursing, class 1968. Katy then began her career as an OB/Gyn nurse for Dr. Warren Hartman, and then in 1983 went on to work for Lourell Sutliff, MD for over 30 years as a registered nurse certified in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Katy loved God, family, friends, and just loved life! She dedicated her life to helping others and always putting their needs in front of her own. Katy’s favorite past time was bringing life into the world! She was committed to her patients and always went out of her way to help in any way she could, including working late nights and weekends. She would not have had it any other way! Katy also loved her family tremendously and spent her retirement years loving, giving treats, and spending precious time with her great grand babies. Katy was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Terry Harrell. She is survived by her sister Martha Langston, 3 children, Scott Ertresvaag, Suzy Wallace, and Heidi Ertresvaag Shipp, and nephew, Robert Langston. Katy was also survived by her 3 grandchildren, Seth Warren, Camryn Wallace, and Caitlyn Wallace, and 3 great grandchildren, Dixie, Waylon, and Rosalynn Kaye. A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate the Life of Katy.

Coronado Lupe Fernandez

Lupe Fernandez Coronado got her last wish. She "went to be with Jesus" peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, April 19, 2020. Lupe was born on June 5, 1949. She was the 12th child of Andres Ponce Coronado and Julia Marrujo Fernandez. A kind and loving person, Lupe was loved by everyone she knew. She always met you with a smile and a big hug. She didn't have much, but what little she had, she was always willing to share. She worked as a bus monitor for San Angelo Independent School District for many years enjoying her time with "her babies." She is survived by her son, Michael Pena, brother, Eddie (Helen) Coronado, sisters, Edna Hernandez Castillo, Adelfa Montez, Eva Juarez, and Tommie Hinojosa, along with many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, three brothers, Richard, Luis and Joe Coronado, and four sisters, Alicia Juarez, Juanita Salazar, Nicolasa Hogeda, and Nellie Melendez. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Ballinger Health and Rehab Center for all their love and care for Lupe. A memorial service for Lupe will be held at a later date.

Rudy Gerngross Jr. passed away on April 19, 2020, in San Angelo.

A come and go public viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 21 from 9:00 AM until 7 PM and on Wednesday, April 22 from 9 AM until 12:30 PM. Please be aware that due to the current health crisis in our community and the directives given by State and Local Governments, we must abide by the directive limiting gatherings to 10 people at a time.

Private graveside services will be held at Calvary Cemetery Garden Mausoleum in San Angelo. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Rudy was born on November 20, 1945, in Ballinger, Texas to Rudolph and Elizabeth Schraer Gerngross.

He married Lucille Allen on October 22, 1983, in San Angelo. He was employed by UPS for over thirty years before his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lucille in 2002, a sister, a brother-in-law and a step-son.

Rudy is survived by his brother, Greg Gerngross and his wife Mary Jo of Baird; his sister, Natalie Lange and her husband Steven of Rowena; his sister Mary Lou Gerngross of San Angelo; numerous nieces and nephews; and by a step-daughter and step-grandsons.

The family suggest that memorials be made to a favorite charity.

Carolyn Scroggs, 80, passed away Friday, April 17, 2020, at her home.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at Greenwood Memorial Park, 3100 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76107, with Rev. Bill Bowers, retired Church of The Nazarene pastor, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mrs. Scroggs was born October 13, 1939, Hollis, Oklahoma. Carolyn married M. G. Scroggs on June 21, 1958, in Fort Worth. She has been a resident of San Angelo for 14 years. Carolyn worked for First Care Insurance for 10 years retiring in 2002. She was a Nazarene. Carolyn enjoyed collecting quilts.

Survivors include her husband, M. G. Scroggs of the home; two sons, Mark Gregory and wife Cristine of Canyon, and Mike D. Scroggs of San Angelo; two sisters, Paula Friend and husband Ben of Joshua, and June Brown of Bowie; her grandson, Austin Scroggs and wife Morgan of San Angelo; and two great granddaughters, Everlee and Landree both of San Angelo. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Sondra Clark.

Valliant Edward Devers

Edward Devers Valliant was born July 2,1932, to Clarence and Maureen Valliant in Sonora, Texas. He was the oldest of 3 children. After graduating from Sonora High School he attended Texas Tech University and graduated with an Agriculture degree in 1959. He worked in the Soil Conservation office for over 30 years and received the Distinguished service award of McCullough county 1973 to 1992. He retired to San Angelo with his wife Jo in 1992. Ed married Jo Fant August 5, 1957 at the First Christian Church in San Angelo. Ed and Jo were blessed with 2 children Susan Valliant of Arlington, Texas and Brian Valliant of San Angelo/Sonora, Texas. He was a veteran in the Korean War and and received the National Defense Service Medal before returning home to finish his degree. In October 1951 he became an Eagle Scout and served as Scout Master for a number of years for the Boy Scouts in Concho Valley and was a role model for many boys. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Brady for many years and served as Head Master in 1979. He was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) for over 50 years and served a deacon for many years. Ed and Jo delivered Meals on Wheels for over 10 years in San Angelo. Ed loved God, family and friends, our country and cherished each day of life. Ed was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Maureen Valliant and his sister Marylin Griffith. He is survived by his wife Jo for 63 years, their 2 children, 3 grandchildren, Jason Valliant of Odessa, Texas, Malyn Valliant Wagner of Blanco, Texas and Meagan Talton of Dallas, Texas, 5 great grandchildren and brother Don Valliant of Bakersfield, California. Open visitation will be held from 9 AM to 7 PM on Sunday, April 19, 2020, at Johnson's Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held at Fairmount Cemetery on Monday, April 20, 2020. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Boy Scouts of America, Meals on Wheels in San Angelo, Texas, or a charity of your choice.
