SAN ANGELO, TX -- New details have emerged regarding the capture of 39-year-old William James Hernandez.
According to SAPD, Hernandez was named a person of interest early on in a Missing Person Investigation of of 23-year-old Selena Ann Bradley that was led by the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies believed Hernandez had been involved in Bradley's disappearance and originally thought she was at a business or residence associated with the suspect.
On Monday afternoon, Bradley's body was located in a home on Allen St.
During the investigation, detectives obtained information that appeared to indicate Hernandez was in Abilene.
In a coordinated effort with the Abilene Police Department, Hernandez was located near a carwash but avoided apprehension after he purposely crashed into the apprehension team’s car.
Hernandez's car was later discovered disabled in a field in Jones County. The multi-agency search ended when Hernandez was discovered walking by an officer with the Hamlin Police Department.
Hernandez has officially been charged with murder.
