Sue J. Williamson, 93, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020, in San Angelo.

Private family graveside services were in Philadelphia, Mississippi.

Miss Williamson was born December 4, 1926, in Ft. Worth to Emmett and Nancy Williamson. Sue retired weather annalist for the Federal Aviation Administration working in New Orleans. Sue was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, James Williamson.

Carlos Munoz Cardenas, age 71 of San Angelo, died March 18, 2020, in El Paso.

Public viewing will be on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 from 9:30 AM until 8:00 PM at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Due to the current health crisis in our community and the directives given by State and Local Governments, we must abide by the directive limiting gatherings to 10 people at a time.

Carlos was born in San Angelo on September 14, 1948, to Elijio and Enedina Munoz Cardenas.

Carlos worked as a laborer but was a man of many talents. He truly enjoyed leather and woodworking and was exceptionally artistic. Carlos also loved to read; however what he cherished most in life was his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elijio and his brother Jose Cardenas.

Carlos is survived by his daughter, Paula Lavizzo; his mother, Enedina; two sisters, Eva Escobedo and her husband Joe and Rosalinda Rivas; his grandchildren, Gabrielle Garcia, Jacob Bermea and Seth Bermea; his great-grandchildren, Jaythyn Rivera and Jayse Rivera; his nieces, Brenda Andrade, Jennifer Cardenas, and Veronica Magana; his nephews, Joe Cardenas Jr, Robert John Rivas, Raymond Rivas and Freddy Castro; and many other loving family members and friends.

Ramon M. Reyes of San Angelo passed away at the age of 73 on March 25, 2020, in San Angelo Texas.  After serving as a US Army 82nd Airborne Paratrooper, he then became a first responder as a San Angelo Firefighter and Paramedic for 27 years. Ramon is preceded in death by his parents: Margarita M. Reyes and Ramon F. Reyes; along with the love of his life RosaLinda Chapoy Reyes. He is also survived by his brother George M. Reyes and sister Margaret Reyes Tobias. Mr. Reyes is also survived by his three daughters: Irma Reyes Vela and husband, Paul Vela; Dora Chapoy Reyes; Laura Reyes Ramos and husband Tony Ramos; and his only son, Ramon Reyes Jr.  He is also survived by six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held for immediate family.  A celebration of his life will be held at a later date once the Coronavirus has passed. Ramon will be dearly missed.  He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and a friend to many.

At this time, the family is requesting that no flowers and/or plants be sent until the date of the service which will be determined at a later date.

James’ journey in life began on October 21, 1935 when he was born on a farm in Illinois to Walter and Irma Delheimer. He graduated from High School in 1953 and spent one year at the University of Illinois. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1955 and married his high school sweetheart Ruth. His journey in the Air Force took them to many places including Syracuse University where he became a Russian Linguist. Then on to Turkey, California, Texas, Germany, Nebraska, Pakistan and Alaska. Along the way, they were blessed with four children. James retired from the Air Force in 1977. He then enrolled at Angelo State University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree and then his Master’s Degree. After completion of his education, he entered the U.S. Civil Service at Goodfellow AFB where he spent many hours traveling as the Chief of Plans and Programs working for the Wing Commander. He retired from Civil Service in 1997 and bought a RV and he and Ruth traveled the United States visiting family and old friends. They spent the winters in Florida and the summers in Colorado making new friends along the way. They settled back into regular life in San Angelo and life was good until James was diagnosed with dementia in 2007. His journey with dementia was slow but steady and ended on March 25, 2020. Preceding him in death were his parents, Walter and Irma and one brother, Leon. He leaves behind 4 siblings, Dennis, Richard, Jean Corrigan, and Julie Cotter. Left to mourn his passing is his loving and devoted wife, Ruth and their children, Victoria and Larry, Michael and Debra, Teresa and Milt and Kevin and Donna. James also left behind 5 grandchildren, Heather, Teresa Beth, James, Valarie and Jason and 5 great grandchildren. The family also wishes to thank Kindred Hospice for the excellent care James received during his final days and the guidance given to them. The family would like everyone to know that a celebration of Jim’s life will be held on a later date once the public health concern issue has subsided. They graciously extend their understanding to everyone with concerns about personally supporting them and will celebrate his life when everyone can attend.

Louie R. Lam Jr age 70 of San Angelo died March 23, 2020 in Houston.

A viewing will be held on Monday, March 30, 2020 at Robert Massie Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until 7:00 PM. Due to the current health crisis in our community and the directives given by State and Local Governments, we must abide by the directive limiting gatherings to 10 people at a time.

A private family rosary will be said on Tuesday, March 31st followed by a private family graveside service at Calvary Cemetery in San Angelo. Arrangements are provided by Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Louie was born in San Angelo on January 5, 1950, to Luis R. Lam and Mercedes Faz. After graduation, he served in the US Army. Louie had a deep respect for the military and for the country he proudly served. He completed his military duty in 1972 and started working in the warehouse business. He retired from Quaker Oats as a GUI Operator (Graphically User Interface) in California at the age of 57 and moved back to San Angelo in 2008.

Strong, determined, harsh, confident and opinionated are all words that could describe Louie; but other words that could describe him equally well were, charming, loving, generous, romantic, funny and quick-witted. He had a way with people, although he initially came across harsh, as you began to know him you realized what a genuine and kind man he truly was.

He had a fascination for airplanes, cooking, Asian cuisine was his favorite, and basset hounds. He loved his bassets, Bernice and Elliott, they werent just puppies, they were family! Louie was knowledgeable about almost any subject and was a multifaceted individual.

After knowing each other in junior high and high school, Louie and Beatrice’s paths crossed again after 33 years. Their friendship flourished and they have been partners in life and in love since 2000.

Louie is survived by his spouse, Beatrice Padilla; his twin daughters, Sara and Stephanie Lam; his sister, Pam Nandin; his brother, Mark Lam; his step-brother, Jerry Faz; his special cousins, Lisa Castandea, Martha Tafoya and Dolores Castelo and other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Craig Taylor, 72, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2020. He was born in San Angelo, Texas, on October 15, 1947 to Massey E. and Faye Garner Taylor. Craig was a saddle maker by trade. He enjoyed creating beautiful and functional saddles throughout his lifetime. Like everyone else, Craig had many obstacles in life, but he could always embrace Ephesians 2:8. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God.” Craig is survived by son, Seth (Le’Anne) Taylor, son Shane (Stacey) Kelton, grandchildren, Christian Taylor, Kyle Kelton, and Kourtney Kelton, brother Jim (Sue) Taylor, and a host of loving family members and friends. A family graveside service will be held in Richland Springs, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The American Diabetes Association or your favorite charity.
