Frances Boswell Sentell

10/28/2024 - 09:38 , by TKing09

Frances Boswell Sentell passed away peacefully at her home in San Angelo Tx and was called up to be with the Lord October 19th, 2024. Fran, known to so many as Momma Fran, always lived life to the fullest, saw the beauty in everything and everyone and truly believed in the tenant of, “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself" and we are all for the better for this.

Born 26 August 1931 to Douglas and Jewell Boswell in San Angelo Tx, Fran led a diverse and seasoned life with such a wide array of experiences that they all cannot be captured here. Fran did not have any biological children of her own but she did truly become a Mother and Grandmother to so many people throughout her life to include those of us that truly were able to call her “Mom”. Fran routinely opened her home to family, friends, and those in need of both short-term and long-term help and stays. She always looked forward to hosting people in her home for any occasion, especially during the holidays. Fran would even open her home up to young U.S. Service Members from Goodfellow AFB unable to get back to their home for the holidays. The level of affection and love that Fran so freely gave should be a lesson to us all. Frans love and positive influence that she has given to everyone will live on through others, but many may not know just how diverse and full the life that this amazing woman had.

Many may not know that one of Fran’s first jobs was as a model for Dillard’s department store. Through family photos we can also see her posing next to muscle and racing cars which was a passion of hers that never left her. She truly loved the excitement of enjoying fast cars, motorcycles, and airplanes. Even in her later years she would be eager to enjoy a ride and sports car with family and friends. Trail riding motorcycles was another activity she loved doing with family and friends in her younger years and she would be unapologetic in hitching rides in friends’ aircraft during her days at Day Aircraft Refinishing Services at the San Angelo Airport.

Fran’s true passion was in the service of others. From helping others with their taxes and bookkeeping needs using her CPA talents to being an avid supporter of local and state election offices for many years, Frans need to help others was unstoppable. She was heavily involved with several non-profit organizations such as the Daughters of the American Revolutions, Samaritans Purse, and Meals for the Elderly where even in her own advanced years she would still support these causes and had no problem recruiting other to help her do it. No matter who you talk to, the one thing that is constantly heard from everyone is how Fran is known for her kindness, generosity, love for everyone and her faith in God.

Fran is widowed and preceded in death by husbands Douglas Tuggle, Billy Wayne Ramey, Charles Day, and John Sears Sentell and her Father and Mother, Douglas Wilson Boswell and Jewel McLemore Snow, Brother Mack Douglas Boswell and cousin Christell Sealey. Fran is survived by her sister Bonnie “Cayanne” Boswell, cousins Billy Sealey and Michele Sealey-Jeter, sons Carey Day, Chuck Day and Mica Greenwood, niece Brandy Kay Boswell and a multitude of grandchildren that she cherished and loved deeply. Fran openly said that she has outlived almost everyone in her life, and this is true! She lived life to the fullest, loved the deepest, and always had room in her heart for one more.

Fran Sentell will be interned at First Methodist Church Columbarium of San Angelo (Downtown) Saturday, Oct 26th at 10:00 am followed by a Memorial in celebration of Frans life at Sierra Vista Methodist Church in San Angelo at 12:00 pm. All Family, Friends and Loved Ones are invited and encouraged to attend and share your individual stories of Fran and her life well lived.

Mr. Ollie Neille Sudduth passed beyond the sunset at his home in San Angelo, Texas on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. He was the son of William W “Smiley” Sudduth and Jewell Blanche (Taylor) Sudduth. He was 83 years old and is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jean Ann Sudduth and his only son Todd Lee Sudduth and wife Chelsea who gave him three grandchildren: Clayton, Weston, and Novalee. Ollie was the oldest of four children: Rosanna and her husband Ronnie Sauer, William “Bill” Sudduth and his wife Toni, and Michael “Mike” Sudduth and his wife Kathy.

Ollie was a proud veteran of the US Army where he served as a Medical Specialist during the Vietnam War era. He graduated from Angelo State University in 1971 earning a BBA in Business Administration. He was a west Texas rancher for many years before running his own business as a contract welder for several oil and gas companies around the Permian Basin and Big Country areas and eventually settled on creating metal and horseshoe nail art pieces until his retirement.

Ollie took pride in his ability to break and train horses that were particularly difficult. He was a true “horse whisperer.” He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid Louis Lamour reader. His favorite books were westerns and Native American culture. Ollie loved to tell stories of his childhood and the years he spent on the ranch. He loved being a cowboy with his favorite horse, Snooper. He will be missed by all as he has saddled up Snooper once more and ridden beyond the sunset.
