Elizabeth Camarillo Sanchez 78 of San Angelo, Tx passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday September 12,2024 surrounded by her family. She was born June 17, 1946, in Rosenberg, TX to Bonifacio and Eloisa Camarillo. She was the youngest of nine children. 

Elizabeth was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ on April 21,1996. She was a faithful sister in her church. Every morning, she devoted her time reading her Bible and thanking God for all her many blessings. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and cooking. She loved spending all day in her beautiful garden and planting flowers the most. She loved to bless everyone with her fresh fruits and vegetables from her garden. 

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents Bonifacio and Eloisa Camarillo. Brothers Julio, Trinidad, Paul and Daniel. Sisters Andrea, Delia, Rachel and Lillie. Daughter Rachel Herrera and grandson Isaac Jaso Jr. 

Elizabeth is survived by her Husband of 45 years Antonio Sanchez. Her sister Maria “Loi”. Her children Eloisa Arevalo, Ruben Echavarria, Irene Camarillo, Donna Jaso and Tony Echavarria Jr. 23 Grandkids, numerous great grandkids, nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2024 from 6-8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024 in Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm.

Delma Noriega, 60, of Sonora, Texas, gently left us to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 14, 2024. Born on February 10, 1964, Delma was the beloved daughter of Jose T. Noriega and Rosa Lumbreras Noriega. A cherished member of the Sonora community, she was affectionately known as Wera or La Wera de Sonora.

Delma was a woman of remarkable strength and independence, dedicating 40 years to her calling as a caregiver. Her work went beyond mere profession; she built deep and enduring bonds with those she cared for, treating them as extended family. Delma was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, friend, and caregiver, but her most treasured role was that of “NaNa.” Her granddaughters, Miranda and McKenna (Andi Y Kenna), were her pride and joy, the lights of her life whom she adored beyond measure.

Known for her vibrant personality, Delma was instantly recognizable by her signature bright red lipstick and her "go big or go home" attitude. Her spirited nature and candidness made her the life of any gathering, and her presence was always felt. She had a unique way of making every event memorable, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and joy.

Delma is preceded in death by her father, Jose T. Noriega; her mother, Rosa Lumbreras Noriega; her sister, Josie Luna; her beloved cousin and best friend, Emma Sepeda; and her sister-in-law, Yvonnette Noriega.

She leaves behind her cherished daughter, Kimberley “Nikki” and son-in-law Allen Arreosola; her adored granddaughters, Miranda and McKenna; and her siblings Paul Ramirez (Vicky), Victor Ramirez, Albert Ramirez (Frances), Jessie Noriega, and Joe Michael Noriega. Also mourning her loss are her sister Lupe Sentena (Joe), Gloria Hernandez, Sally Sanchez (Ismael), and Rosa Sanchez (George), along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were dear to her heart.

Delma will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her spirit, her laughter, and her boundless love will remain in our hearts forever.

Our beloved Ashley Cheri Castillo, a beacon of kindness and friendship, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on September 16, 2024. Born on March 5, 1988, in San Angelo, TX, Ashley's spirit touched everyone she met. Her boundless generosity and selflessness defined her life—she always gave freely to others, often before taking for herself.

Ashley had an incredible gift for forming lasting friendships. She never met a stranger; anyone who crossed her path was quickly embraced as a friend for life. Ashley made the best banana bread ever and had a talent with words, Ashley was honored with several awards for her poetry and graduated from Central High School in 2006. She earned a place on the Dean’s List at Howard College. Her passion for creativity extended to arts and crafts, bingo, and coloring, and she didn’t want to miss out on anything she could learn or create. She worked at Daybreak and Mosaic and also provided healthcare assistance at group homes.

She is survived by her loving mother, Diana Hayes, her stepfather, Kelly Hayes, her sister, Serie Martinez, her beloved nephews, Jayden Rojas and Kai Hines, and her cherished grandparents, Santos and Erasmo Huerta, and Bobby and Beatrice Castillo. She also leaves behind dear aunts and uncles: Paul and Cindy Castillo, Joann and Nicky Martinez, Lisa and Mike Stewart, and Jackie and Ernest Estrada, as well as great aunts Trine Robles, Cruz De La Garza, and Mercedes Guerrero. Ashley will also see “Sparky” her yorkie fur baby.

Diane and Kelly extend their heartfelt gratitude to every family member, friend, and medical professional who supported them through this journey. Your kindness and care have been a great comfort.

A rosary will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 6:00pm at Harper Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will follow on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 10:00am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Evelyn Lee was born February 20, 1929. She spent her early years in several locations in Texas as her family survived the Great Depression. She met her beloved husband, J.D. when they were both employed at an HEB grocery store in Austin, Texas. The joke was that they met behind the canned foods aisle where they had their first kiss. This was the beginning of a long marriage which saw them living in various locations in Alaska, New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas while he worked as a controller, and then regional supervisor for the FAA. Their participation in many square dance groups was the source of numerous friendships and a great source of joy and recreation for them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D., one son, David, her sister Jenny Allen, and her brother B.J. McClure. She is survived by one son, Jeff of Las Cruces, NM, and one niece, Carol Beall of Morgantown, WV.

Sewing was her passion. She owned a shop (Lee’s Calico Country) designing and making square dance apparel in Albuquerque, NM. As a member of Southland Baptist Church in San Angelo she made 50 baby quilts for their ministry to new parents. Her creativity and love of quilting continued until her failing eyesight prevented it, and even then she continued to sew and make alterations to her clothes. She was also an avid reader, particularly enjoying historical fiction and political biography, and was always up to date on the current news events and trends in fashion. Evelyn was also a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan and talked to her sons about the game most every game day.

She will be sadly missed by her many friends at Southland Baptist Church, and by her family.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 10:00am at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.

Graciela Cruz went to be with the Lord on September 15, 2024, with her loving family by her side after a long battle with cancer. “Gracie” was born May 9, 1969 to Benito Cruz and Evangelina Cadena.

Gracie has so many loved ones. She was loved by so many. It was never a dull moment with her. She is going to be truly missed by so many.

Gracie was preceded in death by long time boyfriend, Richard Hernandez, her loving daughter, Adriana Cruz, brother, Benito Cruz, and sister, Rosa Zapata.

Gracie is survived by her son Isreal Cruz, daughter-in-law, Rosy Rodarte, her grandchildren, Isiah Cruz, Jahzel Cruz, Julissa Cruz, Josiah Cruz, Hailey Rodarte and Anaveah Payne, her beloved siblings, Olga Zapata, Felix Zapata, Maria Alverado, Evangelina Mata, Maria Garcia, Francisco Cruz and Daniel Cruz, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her family wants to give a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice, nurses: Darlene, Falisha, Stephanie and Samantha, Rosy Rodarte, Connie Martinez, Adelaida Martinez, and every family member who helped care for her.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 5:00-7:00pm at Harper Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at New Hope Bible Church, in San Angelo, on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 10:00am. The family is asking guest to wear any bright attire.

Charles Dittman, 71, of Big Lake passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Glen Rest Cemetery with Pastor David Alaman of Hillside Christian Church, officiating. There will not be a public viewing for Mr. Dittman. Areangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Charles was born on October 3, 1952 in Fort Stockton to Don and Erma Jean Rollins Dittman. In his early adult years, he worked construction in central Texas, then returning to west Texas to work in the oilfield where he would retire in 2019 as a lease operator. He also served as a Reserve Deputy for the Ward County Sheriff's Office. Most people knew Charles as a tough, hardheaded, but fair, man's man; but those closest to him knew him as kindhearted, thoughtful, and caring to those he loved. Charles lived to sacrifice for the betterment of his family. Many people called him Pop's because of his generosity. He loved fishing, hunting, watching old westerns, and listening to music from the 60's. He married his soulmate Kathy on June 8, 1996 in Big Lake.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Ruby Chipman.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy of the home; four children, Steven Dittman and wife Sondra of Big Lake, Robie Subia and wife Alisha of San Angelo, Erica Subia of Big Lake and Terry Dittman of Temple; a brother and sister, Don Dittman, Jr. of Big Lake and

Donna Chipman and husband George of Salado; numerous grandchildren; and the apple of his eye, great granddaughter, Jayanna.

Gladys L. Jones, 90, of San Angelo passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024.

Viewing will be from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Robert Massie Funeral Home and from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Thursday, September 19, 2024. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with pastor Allan Eckert, officiating.

Mrs. Jones was born on July 27, 1934 n Taylor to C. W. Goetz and Rosie Muey. She graduated from Eola High School and attended Angelo State University. Gladys married Odell Wagner on June 3, 1956, he preceded her in death. She later married EF Jones and he preceded her in death on October 27, 1999. Gladys was a bookkeeper at Grape Creek Cafeteria, Coca Cola bottleing, Jefferson's Furniture, Preston Milk Store, and Ratliff and Edwards Law Firm.

She loved to sewing, crocheting, quilting, painting, building clocks, gardening, canning, and putting puzzles together. Gladys was also a volunteer at the Women's and Children's Center and was a memeber at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Gladys is preceded in death by her parents; two children, Jay Wagner and Carla Wagner; and a brother, Marvin Goetz.

She is survivied by her two children, Tim Wagner of Corpus Christie and Kara Martinez of San Angelo; a sister Ruth Goetz of Bronte; five grandchildren, Jacob Wagner Martinez and wife Bonita of Miles, Moses Wagner Martinez and wife Hope and Karalina Martinez all of San Angelo, JJ Wagner and Walter Wagner; and nine great grandchildren, Jaime, Louis, Juan, Theodore, Miguel, Natallia, Moses IV, Kaleb, and Zailey.

Margie is what most people called her. She was born in Poth, TX. on May 18, 1950.

She is preceded in death by her father Margarito and her mother Nicolasa Rocha, Erlinda at only 8 months old, her late husband Emery Pursley Jr. and her son James M.E. Pursley

Margie is survived by her daughter Valerie, married to T. Kirk Oberholzer and her children and grandchildren, her daughter Sherrie Torres, engaged to Chris Smith and her children and grandchildren, her son's children and grandchildren, her sister Adelfa, her brother Ray, her brother Ruben and her sister Lupe and many nieces and nephews and her estranged husband Reyes.

Margie was a joyful giver of herself and time and a true servant of Christ. She loved baking and crafting of all types and was very generous with these gifts.

She was taken from us too soon by lung cancer and she never smoked a day in her life; second-hand smoke is a real thing. She was also inflicted with a few other health issues that she didn't want to burden anyone with.

She died peacefully surrounded by family.

Christine “Chris” Moya, 92, of San Angelo, TX, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 9th. She was born on February 22, 1932, in Dallas, TX, to Gladys and Charlie Haworth. Her unwavering faith in Christ was the foundation of her life, and she was a dedicated servant of the Lord, always seeking to reflect His love in all she did.

Chris married the love of her life, Joe Moya, on September 16, 1947, and they were blessed with 71 years of marriage. Together, they raised five children, instilling in them the importance of faith, love, and family. Joe preceded her in death in 2018, and now they are joyfully reunited in the presence of God.

Chris began her career at Madye’s as a designer, later working for RG Barry’s of San Angelo before finding her professional home at Ethicon, where she retired after many years of dedicated service. Beyond her work, she was a woman of many talents, with a passion for physical fitness and fashion. She was known for her elegance, always sporting a stylish hat and a bright smile.

Her family was the heart of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She loved deeply, prayed fervently, and left a legacy of love and devotion to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

The memorial service and viewing will be held on Friday, September 20th at 6:00 PM at Johnson’s Funeral Home; funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 21st, at 10:00 AM. The family would like to thank Dr. Hunt, Dr. Cheruku, Dr. Duarte, Hospice of San Angelo, and her caregivers, Stephanie and Daisy, for their compassionate care.

Pallbearers for the service will be: Harley Chrane, Bryan Moya, Collin Moya, Doyle Bailey, Ira Kerby, Eddie Cuellar Jr. and Noel Moya (honorary).

Chris was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Moya; her mother, Gladys Kilgore; her father, Charlie Hayworth; her brother, James Hayworth; her sister, Mildred Jayme; and her daughter, Carolyn Moya Kerby.

She is survived by her children, Danny Jayme, Glenda and spouse Doyle Bailey, Joe K. Moya and spouse Sharon, and Michael Moya and spouse Amelia. Her cherished grandchildren, Stephanie Chrane, Andrea Myers, Amanda Kerby, Valeri Kerby, Mallory Moya, Bryan Moya, Collin Moya, Michael Bynum, and Tiffany Jayme, as well as her great-grandchildren, Harley Chrane, Ashley Hogeda, Dakota Myers, Sterling Myers, Phoenix Jergens, Tristin Bynum, Braden Thorton, Berkley Thorton, Quere Rainwater, and Quiah Rainwater, and great-great-grandchildren, Liam Hogeda and Londyn Hogeda. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Chris’s life was a testimony of faith, love, and dedication to God and her family. She will be greatly missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
