“Matt” Matthew Lee Myers, 63 of San Angelo, TX passed away on Wednesday March 5, 2025 at Shannon Medical Center and into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior. Matt was born on February 14, 1962 in San Angelo , TX to William Lee Myers and Diana Lucille Marrs.

Matt grew up in Cisco Texas where he spent many days at his fathers church Bible Baptist. This is where Matt first got his passion to preach and spread the word of the Lord. In 1976, at just 14 years old, Matt was ordained as a minister and preached his first sermon at Bible Baptist. Matt continued to preach all over Eastland county before moving back to San Angelo. Matt worked at Southern Seas as a kitchen manager for several years and then Ethicon. In 1986 Matt and his brother Mark decided to move to Boston because they both loved the Celtics and Red Sox. Coming from Texas and not used to the cold weather it was a short lived dream and they returned back to San Angelo one year later. Matt was also an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and loved to read, trivia and listen to country music. Matt was also known for being a human calculator as his math skills were second to none. Matt always bragged on his greatest accomplishments and that was his daughter Bethany and leading others to Christ. You could guarantee any conversation you had with him would consist of his daughter and the Lord.

He is Survived by his daughter Bethany, husband Patrick and grandson Nate McKeown. His Stepfather Ben Ramon and wife Barbara, Stepmother Brenda Myers. Sister Lisa Pomar and husband Rene, and brothers Mark Myers and wife Andrea, Michael Myers and BJ Ramon. Nephews Dustin Ingram, Mark Myers Jr, Harley Chrane, Sterling Myers, Isaac Ramon and Gabriel Ramon. Nieces Ashley Hogeda, Dakota Myers and Iliana Ramon. Great Nephews Bryce Schkade, Budah Schkade and Liam Hogeda and Great Nieces Londyn Hogeda, Hazley Myers and Isabel Ingram. His Dear friend and companion Elizabeth Moreno and Numerous Cousins.

Matt is preceded in death by his parents William Lee Myers and Diana Lucille Marrs and his nephew Matthew Jacob Schkade. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” - John 3:16

A memorial service in Matt’s honor will be celebrated at two o’clock in the afternoon, Thursday March 13, 2025 at Central Faith Baptist Church, 2460 Jomar Street in San Angelo, where Pastor Gerald Clark is to officiate. In lieu of flowers, a go fund me was set up to help cover his memorial.

Matthew Myers will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Lawrence Wyatt “Doc” Holladay, 75, of San Angelo, Texas passed away unexpectedly on March 4, 2025, at his ranch in San Angelo.

Lawrence was born November 26, 1949, in Monahans, Texas, to William Wyatt Holladay and Betty Jane McNeely Holladay.

In 1973, he met and married the love of his life Sally Shahan, who he loved for 49 years until she preceded him in death. They had a whirlwind romance, where they met and married just 3 short months later. Doc grew up in Imperial, Texas, where he graduated as the Salutatorian from Buena Vista ISD. He then attended Sul Ross State University before moving to Stephenville, Texas, and graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from Tarleton State University in 1972. While at Tarleton, he met his “college buddies”, who maintained their friendship throughout the years and reminisced their time at the “oleo”. Doc was a jack of all trades and did many things in his lifetime. He worked in Ft. Stockton at the Firestone Proving grounds, spent time working for Cactus Feeders, and hauled cattle for Capital Cattle Co., which he was doing when he met Sally, and how he put himself through college. He obtained his real estate license, and then went on to become a broker. He worked for Century 21 before opening Holladay Real Estate, where he put his pilot’s license to use. When Doc left the real estate business, he went back to his true love of cowboying and ranching. He could run a bulldozer, build fence, mechanic, engineer, farm, rope goats, ranch rodeo, or anything he set his mind to. He ensured that he instilled these characteristics in anyone that crossed his path, but was adamant his children and grandchildren knew the tools of the trade. He took pride in his family and loved them deeply. Doc was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and raised his family to know Christ. Later in life, he attended San Angelo Cowboy Church, where he was surrounded by many lifelong friends.

Doc leaves behind his daughters, Jennifer Murray of Miles; Dana Felts and husband Shawn of San Angelo; four grandchildren, Kally Murray, Noah Murray, Hudson Felts, and Stockton Felts; one sister, Wanda Lewis of Imperial; one brother Robert Holladay and wife Jennifer of Imperial, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, family members and dear friends.

Doc was preceded in death by his wife Sally; and his father and mother, Wyatt and Betty Holladay, brother-in-law Roy Lewis, and nephew Tommy Lewis.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Harper Funeral Home, from 2:00-4:00pm. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Harper Funeral Home at 3:00pm. Burial to follow at the Holladay Family Ranch Cemetery.

Patricia Elaine “Pat” Sedden went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 4, 2025, in San Angelo, TX, at the age of 92. Pat was born on April 21, 1932, in Cleburne, TX, to Grace Worlow Free and Frank Free.

Pat married the “love of her life”, Herb Sedden on July 12, 1952, in Ft. Worth, TX, at The Chapel on the Hill. They had 48 years together before God called Herb home to help build Pat’s new mansion in Heaven.

Pat and Herb loved going to their Lake lot in Brownwood for family gatherings or just to get away together. One of Pat’s favorite traditions was to get the granddaughters together early for a little “Grandmother” time before everyone came down. She was always planning what could be done so everyone was comfortable, had fun, and had plenty to eat. Pat spent many years in retail. She loved to be around people and helping anyway she could. Pat was a member of Grape Creek Baptist Church from 1967 – 2011 where she taught Sunday school, worked with the G. A.’s and Vacation Bible School. She was a member of Norman Priddy’s Senior Study Group and Sunday School Class. After moving to San Angelo, she became a member of Southland Baptist Church. She was a member of the Women of Faith Sunday School Class.

Pat is survived by her two sons, Mark Sedden (Vicki) and Terry Sedden (Becky), her grandchildren Lorie Dunnam, Crystal Gutierrez (Miguel), Mandy Sedden, Holly Nelson (Aaron), Richard Owen and Roy Owen (Lisa). Pat enjoyed her 10 great grandchildren and had the joy of welcoming her great-great grandson. Also surviving Pat is her sister Joy Smith and many nephews and nieces.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Grace Free, her husband Herb, brother, Harrell Free and brother-in-law Gordon Smith.

We want to thank the amazing staff at Sagecrest for taking such good care of Mom for 7 years and for the staff of Gentiva Hospice for making her final days comfortable.

Mae Ella Cummings, age 79, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025, in San Angelo, Texas, after a lengthy illness. She was born on October 9, 1945, in San Angelo, Texas, to Charlie Pullen and Learline Williams. A lifelong resident of San Angelo, Mae grew up in the city and attended its public schools.

She worked as a house manager for Dr. Leslie Williamson and her husband, Jim Cogan, for 34 years while also caring for their two children, Jonesy and Stephen Cogan. Mae was a devoted believer in Christ.

Although she lived a private life, Mae was a deeply thoughtful and empathetic person who was fiercely protective of those she loved. She was independent and outspoken, always patient but never afraid to share her perspective with kindness. In her leisure time, she enjoyed shopping for shoes, getting her nails done, chatting on the phone, and spoiling her family.

Mae was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Charles and David Pullen; her sisters, Madeline Pullen and Nancy Murphy; and her son, Jeffrey Cummings.

She is survived by her brother, Jimmy Pullen of San Angelo; her sisters, Irene DeVore and Charlotte Williams of San Angelo, and Carolyn Greene (Everett) of Oklahoma City, OK. She is also survived by her sons, James Cummings (Aida) of Raymondville, TX, and Darrell 'Bear' Cummings of San Angelo, along with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pamela “Pam” Wood, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and esteemed interior designer, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025, in Meadowlakes, Texas, at the age of 76 after a long battle with a rare, chronic blood cancer. Born on September 23, 1948, in San Angelo, Texas, Pam’s life was a testament to faith, family, and a passion for design. Pam loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

In 1966, Pam married the love of her life, David Wood, and enjoyed 59 years of marriage. She graduated from San Angelo Central High School in 1966 and remained actively involved in organizing class reunions, reflecting her enduring friendships and community spirit. Growing up in her family's furniture store in San Angelo, she discovered a natural talent for decorating, a passion that blossomed into a distinguished 57-year career in interior design and furniture sales.  Pam attended The Founding Class Art School of Dallas, where she earned a certification in interior design, and was a lifelong member of American Society of Interior Design.

For 13 years, Pam shared her expertise by teaching “Common Sense Design” at Angelo State University. Her innovative approach and dedication earned her multiple awards including best Interior Designer and national recognition for top sales and interior design. She and her husband owned and operated National Furniture in San Angelo, and she later contributed over two decades of service to Haverty’s Furniture where she enjoyed serving her clients and customers. Pam’s genuine passion for design and customer service fostered lasting friendships with many throughout the Concho Valley.

Family was the cornerstone of Pam’s life. Her fondest activities were fishing and game nights with her children and grandchildren. The annual Wood-McKenna Family Reunion was always something Pam looked forward to, as she brought so much joy to the entire clan. She had a special affection for her dogs and parrots. She loved hosting her Bunco friends during the Christmas season and cherished her close friendships with many in San Angelo. Ocean Cruises were her favorite getaway with family and friends. She especially loved the formal nights on the ship where she often caught the attention of the passengers and crew with her beauty, fashion, and charm.

Known for her radiant smile, kind heart, and unwavering optimism, Pam never spoke a negative word. Her vibrant personality was reflected in her love for colorful and blingy attire, a signature style that brought joy to everyone around her.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Bob Parr and Norma Curtis, as well as her grandparents, Ed and Gladys Parr.

She is survived by her devoted husband, David Wood; her son, Trey Wood, and his wife, Janet; her daughter, Wendy Rhodes, and husband Rodney; and her sister, Kristie. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Garrett Wood and wife, Dr. Emily Wood; Cason Wood; Courtney Johnson and husband, Hunter; Nicole Solis and husband Simon; Cody Rumsey and wife Keeley; and Samantha and Josh Rhodes. Pam also cherished her role as a great-grandmother to five great-grandchildren: Paisley, Sutton, Preston, Macie, and West.

She was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews and shared a special bond with two dear friends, Madeline and Judy.

Pam will be deeply missed by all. Her beautiful smile and kindness is imprinted on the hearts and minds of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Harrell Funeral Home at 145 Texas Ave in Kingsland, Texas. A celebration of Pam’s life will be held on March 11, 2025, at 1:30 PM at the Highland Lakes United Methodist Church at 8303 W FM1431 in Buchanan Dam, Texas. In honoring her memory, the family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Pam’s life by wearing colorful attire, reflecting on the life she lived.

William Gordon Emmons, 86, born April 11th 1938 to Herbert Hiram Emmons and Grace Lee Emmons in Odessa, Texas. He peacefully went on to be with the Lord on March 4, 2025 surrounded by friends and family.

Gordon graduated from Andrews High school in 1956 and served in the US Army from 1961 until 1964. He did his basic training in Ft. Hood, Texas and then served in Germany until his honorable discharge. Gordon moved to Eldorado in 1971. Gordon had a love for family, golf which he played up until a few weeks prior to his death, and ranching which he made a career out of.

 Gordon was preceded in death by his mother and father, Sister Doris Lee Doty, Brothers Herb Emmons, Buck Emmons, Jimmy Emmons, David Emmons, Richard Emmons, and Gary Emmons; and several nieces and nephews.

Survived by sister Marth Jean Emmons; son, Stephen Arnold, and his wife, Courtney; and grandchildren, Harley, Micah, and RaeLyn; Nephews, Danny Emmons, Eric Emmons, Conon Emmons; and Niece, Cara Emmons-Castaneda and her Husband, Ernie, and Numerous Great Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation will be Friday March 7th at Love Funeral home in Eldorado until 9pm. Funeral service will be Saturday March 8th at Love Funeral home in Eldorado at 2:00. With heartfelt sadness we are announcing the death of our father Robert Edwin Hanger. He was born on May 18, 1934 in Huntington, West Virginia to Theodore Otis & Percy Lee Tucker. Robert is survived by 6 children: Pamela Adams, Robert Randall Hanger, Connie Morgan, Robbie Economos, Rhonda Jones and Roni Short. Grandfather & Great Grandfather to many.

Robert graduated from Huntington High School and attended Marshall University. He started his career as a newscaster in Tampa, Florida. He enthusiastically made the switch to radio broadcasting and moved to Charlottesville, Virginia. He was known as "BG in Studio 3." After the radio station was sold, Robert became a sales representative for Armor Products. Robert then moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he met the love of his life, Barbara Ann Daniel. The couple then moved to San Angelo, Texas to be near Barb's family. After retirement, he drove a limousine to socialize and meet new people. Robert was an avid reader and held a wealth of knowledge of the music industry. He introduced hundreds of celebrities during his MC days in Virginia. Later in life dad joined the local Baptist church where he met his best friends. Robert will be remembered for his sharp mind, sense of humor, and his love for his family and friends. He loved to travel throughout the United States & Europe. He lived a long fulfilled life and will be missed by many.

Rachel Santiago Fritz, a cherished mother, grandmother, and devoted partner, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in her sleep on February 27, 2025. Born on July 20, 1954, in Big Spring, Texas, to Juan G. Santiago and Mary Martinez, Rachel was the third of seven children, growing up with the responsibility of being the oldest girl, which instilled in her a caring and nurturing spirit. After graduating from Big Spring High School in 1971, she briefly attended Howard Junior College to pursue her dream of becoming an educator. It was during this time that she met and married Airman Robert 'Bob' Joel Cook Jr. They married on December 19, 1973, and their journey together saw them living in various locations, including the Clarke Air Force Base in The Philippines. Rachel filled these years with adventures, welcoming two daughters into the world: Jacqueline Cook and Kathleen Cook-Polson.

In 1991, following her marriage to Bob, Rachel and her daughters moved to San Angelo, Texas. There, she enrolled at Angelo State University, where she pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. In 1993, she married Gary W. Fritz. Rachel’s dedication to her profession was evident in her 27 years of service as a kindergarten teacher at James Bowie Elementary. Her classroom was not just a place for learning but a nurturing environment where countless children flourished under her guidance. Known as "the teacher with the white streak," Rachel left an indelible mark on her students, often attending significant milestones in their lives long after they graduated. Rachel was a vital part of Immanuel Baptist Church, where she had been an active member since 1991. She participated in the BASIC Sunday school class and was involved in the Concho County Emmaus Community.

Her joyful and bubbly personality made her a beloved figure, and she had a remarkable gift for connecting with people. Rachel’s laughter was infectious, and she had an uncanny ability to make a lasting impression, never forgetting a student’s name or the stories they shared. In addition to her thriving career, Rachel faced significant health challenges, including a diagnosis of pulmonary hypertension and a congenital heart defect in 1979, which initially gave her a limited life expectancy. However, with courage and determination, she underwent open-heart surgery at the young age of 25 and defied the odds, living a fulfilling life that centered around her family and passions. Her strength and resilience were an inspiration to all who knew her.

Rachel became 'Wella' when her oldest grandson, Gavin Reinhardt, was born in 2000, followed by her grandsons Gabriel Cook and Stellar Cook-Polson. In 2022, she embraced the role of great-grandmother with the arrival of Ambrose Cook. Her world revolved around her family, and she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rachel spent the last two years picking up her great-nephews from school as often as she could.

In December 2023, Rachel found love again with Ron Neuhaus, and they shared 14 beautiful months together filled with joy and companionship.

She is survived by her partner, Ron Neuhaus; daughters Jacqueline Cook of Dallas, TX, and Kathleen Cook-Polson, who resides in Crawford, CO, with her husband Joe Polson; and grandsons Gavin Reinhardt and Gabriel Cook.

She is preceded in death by her parents, infant brother, her children’s father Robert J. Cook Jr. and previous husband Gary Fritz; niece Shelli Santiago and nephew, Phillip Aguilar. She was greeted in Heaven by numerous aunts and uncles who loved her dearly.

Rachel’s love extended to her numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and a large extended family spread across the world.

A celebration of Rachel's life will take place on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church, with burial following at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Midland at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Harper Funeral Home. Karen Kay Orange, 82, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025 in San Angelo.

Karen was born March 17, 1942 to Jesse and Thelma Stanley in Gary, Indiana. Karen and her siblings Betty, Arlene, and Harvey moved constantly throughout the west coast. She moved to San Angelo at the age of 71 to help her son PJ raise his son, David. She lived in San Angelo for 12 years.

Karen loved singing, bingo, acting, collectibles, antiques, and holidays with family. She was a psychiatric nurse for 12 years in California and worked in psychiatric field till she was found to have breast cancer in 2008. She beat that cancer and beat it again around 2017. In January of 2025 Karen went in to the hospital for hip issues just to find the cancer came back but was at stage 4 this time.

Karen had 5 children and 20 grandchildren who knew her as "Grandma K".

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Thelma and Jesse Stanley; her brother, Harvey Stanley; her sister, Betty; her daughter, Cara Murray; and grandchildren, Shawn Murray and Aaron Murray.

Karen was survived by her sister, Arlene Landingham; her children, Kevin Murray, Laraine Sparr, PJ Sipin, and Jesse Sipin; and her grandchildren, Shane Murray, Joshua Murray, Francine Murray, Kayla Hall, Jeff Howell, Brent Harrington, Brandi Sparr, Destiny Murray, JJ Sipin, Ashlynn, Sipin,Zabrina Sipin, William Murray, Travis Murray, Skyler Murray, David Hunter and Clara Sipin.

Since many of the family came to visit from outside of Texas during her time on Hospice, which we are eternally grateful for the care and support of Concho Heart Hospice, we did not have a funeral or ceremony. Our ceremony was during the time she was living and as forward in memory of her.

Candelario (Candy) Garcia Sanchez Jr. (68) went to be with his Heavenly Father on March 1, 2025. Candy was born in San Angelo, TX on October 3, 1956, to Candelario Gonzales Sanchez Sr. and Irene Garcia Morales then after his mother remarried, he was brought up with his stepfather, Ernesto Morales.

In 1971, Candelario married his junior high sweetheart, Silvia Enriquez, and after 54 years together they proved that young love truly does last. They raised five sons and one beautiful daughter. Their hearts for family extended beyond their own children as they fostered multiple children and officially adopted their great-nephew, Brayden.

Candelario’s love for the Lord led him to pursue an associate’s degree in theology and to a life of service in many ways. He dedicated countless Tuesday evenings sharing his wisdom and faith with the troubled youth of the Tom Green County Juvenile Justice Center. Candelario also shared the gospel with men at the Eden Detention Center all while devoting 34 years to his church, Siloe Christian, faithfully serving wherever he was needed. Over the years he took on roles as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and eventually, Co-Pastor.

He was well known around San Angelo, not just for his many years as a concrete truck driver for Concho Concrete, but for his deep involvement in the community and his church. It was nearly impossible to go anywhere in town without someone recognizing “Candy Man”. He was known for his playful humor, charming dimples and hazel-green eyes, but it was his overwhelming presence of the Lord that made him so welcoming. His warm smile and kind spirit left a lasting impact on everyone he met. 

Through all of life’s ups and downs Candelario held firmly to God’s personal promise that he would one day see all his children in church serving the Lord. Although there were days when that promise seemed unattainable, he always kept his faith and prayed without ceasing. In God’s perfect time he saw that promise fulfilled. His life was a testament to faith, patience, forgiveness, and the certainty of God’s never-ending love. His legacy of faith will be passed down from generation to generation. 

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Rosendo & Santos Garcia, and father Candelario Sanchez Sr. He is survived by his loving wifey, Silvia, their seven children; Candelario Sanchez III and wife Erlinda, Jesus Sanchez and wife Linda, Erick Sanchez and wife Analisa, Lori Rodriguez and husband Joe, Jacob Enriquez and wife Jane, Jeremy Sanchez, and great- nephew Brayden Enriquez, Mother Irene Morales, Brothers; Daniel Sanchez and Ernesto Morales Jr and wife Brandy, Sisters; Diane Sanchez and Estella Cruz and husband John, 19 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren, along with numerous other family members and friends who will cherish his memory forever.
