Maria Teresa Luna, 69, passed away Monday, June 20, 2022, in San Angelo.

Memorial service will be at 3:00 PM Friday, June 24, 2022, at Robert Massie Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Nelson, pastor of Christian Faith Center, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mrs. Luna was born July 30, 1952 in El Paso to Luis and Alvina Levario. Maria has been a resident of San Angelo for 35 years moving from Ft. Stockton. Maria was a chef for the Salvation Army, First Baptist Church, Goodfellow AFB, Kozy Kitchen, and McGowan's at Rio Concho Manor, prior to moving to San Angelo she worked at Holiday Inn and Ramada Inn in Ft. Stockton retiring in 2018. Maria was a member of Christian Faith Center and attended The River Church San Angelo. She loved going shopping, singing, and making people laugh. Maria loved cooking for her family and friends. She was president of the Pink Ladies. She will be fondly remembered as "Mama Luna".

Survivors include her two daughters, Crystal Rios and Abigail Esquivel and husband Gabriel all of San Angelo; two sons, Richard Levario and wife of San Angelo, and Joel "Gasper" Levario of Brownwood; three grandchildren; Rachel Rios, Luis Levario, Sr., and Isaiah Esquivel; four great grandchildren, Luis, Jr., Aubree, Jeremiah, and Callum; two brothers, Margarito Levario of San Angelo, and Luis Levario, Jr. of Odessa; and three sisters, Manuela Vargas and husband Francisco of Odessa, Cita Moreno of San Angelo, and Clara Diaz of Ft. Stockton. Maria was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Ramon Levario.

Our beloved father and grandfather, Johnny Chapa, 83, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022, in San Angelo.

Public viewing will from 9:00 AM from 8:00 PM Thursday, June 23, 2022 with the rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be 9:00 AM Friday, June 24, 2022, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Lorenzo Hatch, officiating. Burial will following at Fairmount Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

John was born on May 15, 1939 in San Angelo, he was the seventh child of eleven. John was a lifelong resident of San Angelo. He graduated from Central High School and enlisted in the Marine Corps, after serving four years in the Marine Corps, he enrolled at Angelo State University. He received his Bachelor of Arts in 1972 and became a teacher at Ft. Concho Elementary, where he taught for many years. He then went back to college, where he attended the summer months, received his Master of Business Administration in 1987 and became the principal of Ft. Concho Elementary School. He served 30 years total with SAISD. After retirement, he loved being at "the rancho" with all his plants & animals, this was truly his happy place. He lived for & loved his children, especially his grandchildren. Family was everything to him.

He is survived by his three children, Monica Chapa & her husband Joe "Sambo" Frausto, their three children, Adrian Chapa, Layla & Leia Frausto; Slater Chapa & his wife Lisa, their three children, Ryan, Grayson & Lauren Chapa and Marcos Chapa & his wife Amy, their two children, Jonathon and Vivian Chapa and his son from a previous marriage, Tristan Chapa. He has four remaining sisters, Olivia Chapa and Lecha Martinez from San Angelo, Rebecca Lopez & husband Manuel from Azle, and Crestina Soto & husband Segundo from Fort Worth. He is also survived by many in laws, Margie Chapa, Rudy Sanchez both from San Angelo and Cynthia Chapa from Azle, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife Charla "Susie" Chapa; father & mother, Lorenzo & Clara Chapa. His brothers, Lorenzo, Pete, Rudy and George Chapa along with his sisters, Elena Balli and Edith Sanchez.

The family would like to thank the staff at New Haven along with Brad and the staff with Concho Hearts Hospice, for the excellent care given to our father. We would also like to thank our precious Tia Olivia Chapa & Cousin Peter Chapa for their daily visits with our Papa.

Dorothy "Dottie" Jean Louise Hixson, 92, of San Angelo passed away Wednesday June 15, 2022.

No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hixson was born November 14, 1929 in Jeddo, Pennsylvania to Harry and Katherine Gill. Mrs. Hixson and her husband settled in San Angelo in October of 1988 after traveling and living many places and called it home. He passed in August of 2010. Dottie was an involved and long term member of Trinity Lutheran Church for many years. She loved her lord and cherished her family and friends holding them all dear to her heart. She was an avid reader and also a hobby photographer for many years and enjoyed sharing her photos of everyday life and life events. She had a genuine heart and everyone in her life was touched and will forever be grateful for the time spent with her.

Dottie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Raymond Hixson, Sr.; two sisters, Barbara Yoh and Marjorie Showers; and a brother, Bill Gill.

She is survived by her children William Hixson Jr and wife Peggy of Abilene, Larry Hixson and wife Denise of Canyon Lake, California; her four grandchildren, Tonia Johnson and husband Jeremy of Abilene, Tammy Sutterfield and husband Gary of Merkel, Brett Hixson of Canyon Lake, California, and Nolan Hixson of Canyon Lake, California; six great-grand Children; five great-great-grandchildren, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Wayland Paul Huff went to be with the Lord on June 20th, 2022, at the age of 75 years and 6 days. He was born on June 14th, 1947, in Brady Texas to Wayland Taylor Huff and Jewel Mc Bee Huff.  
Paul began working at the age of 9 throwing newspapers for many years. Later he worked at the Plaza and Texas Theaters. After graduating from Central High School, he worked for Rogers Machine, Three Rivers Auto Supply and Concho Auto Supply. Along the way, he and his friend Alton Baird opened The New Dixie Club and ran it for 5 years. He started working for Goodyear Proving Grounds in 1975 and in 2021, after 46 years, he retired. 

His passion was building and later driving race cars. Paul raced on the stock car circuit for a long time and won many races. Another thing he truly enjoyed was music, especially old Country. He could hear the first note of a song and tell you what song it was, who sang it and most of the lyrics if not all.  

Paul found great pleasure in a good practical joke or a great spoken one! He remembered most of the jokes he heard and re-told them hundreds of times. He brought a smile to many faces and brightened many days for all of us. He was a history buff of San Angelo, and many people would call him about things they wanted to know or couldn’t remember about our city. He had the gift of gab, so he really enjoyed talking about the things he knew. 

Paul loved his family and friends and once you were his friend, you were a friend for life!! He was loved in return by all of us. 

He is survived by his wife Phyllis Ann Coleman Huff, stepchildren, Toby Waldrop (Emily), Chelsea Waldrop and Katy Waldrop Villa (Rob). His Grandchildren, Branson, Cooper, Will, Pear, Piccolo, and Penelope. Also, one sister, Jean Huff Stewart (Dennis) and their children Christy Hanna and children, and Stephanie Nelson (Will) and children. Brother and Sister-in -law, James and La Donna Wanoreck and family. Sister-in-law, Juanita Huff and her children, Paula Holloway (Joe) and children and Jaime Cox(Derek), and his precious dog Dottie. He also left to cherish his memory, hundreds of friends. 

We would like to give a special thank you to Roger and Anna Margaret Andersen whom he considered a brother and sister. And to the Shannon Hospital Staff and his many doctors, thank you for the compassionate care you gave Paul during his stay. 

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Harper Funeral Home. 

He will truly be missed…. He had a green, white, checkered finish!

Cynthia Kay Davidson was born June 14, 1957 to Kenneth W. Davidson and Virginia C. Davidson in Silver Springs Maryland 

She passed away June 15, 2022 in San Angelo Texas at 65 years of age 

She is preceded in death by her father Ken Davidson and mother Virginia Davidson. She is survived by her brother, Ken Davidson Jr. and wife Barbara; daughter, Jennifer Mansfield; sons, Jeremy Stanton and wife Jessica, Matthew Bruner and wife Ida as well as ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren and three nieces. 

About the time Cynthia was a year old her family moved to Richardson Texas. Her father went to work for Texas Instruments. 

In 1960 the family moved to Arizona. Cynthia grew up in Arizona where she attended grade school and Junior High School. In 1975 she graduated from Westwood High School in Mesa Arizona. 

Cynthia loved music. She learned to play violin and piano and was active in music groups through her school years. She was also a good singer and enjoyed singing at church. 
After graduating from High School Cynthia attended Abilene Christian University for one year. She returned to Arizona and married Jeff Stanton. Soon they were blessed with Jennifer and Jeremy. 

Sometime later Cynthia married Mike Bruner and his work took them to Illinois. While there Matthew was born completing the family. 

Cynthia’s life took some unexpected and difficult turns and she ended up with her kids in Lubbock Texas. Subsequently she lived in different cities in Texas. After the children were grown Cynthia eventually moved to San Angelo Texas about 2006 where she lived until her recent death. 

During her time in San Angelo Cynthia’s health declined dramatically. The last seven years of her life Cynthia’s daughter Jennifer lived with her mom and was her primary care giver beginning in 2018. 

Cynthia leaves a legacy of family and friends. She will be missed.

Kristi Kay "KK" Trevino, 34, of San Angelo, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 18, 2022, surrounded by her family.

Ms. Trevino was born June 23, 1987 in San Angelo. Kristi was a wonderful and loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend but above all she was an amazing mother to her three children, bonus son, and their cousins who she loved like her own. Kristi loved life and had a kind heart, always willing to help others. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Golden State Warriors fan and made sure to never miss a game and she loved her Jordans. When she wasn't doing hair and makeup you could catch her in the kitchen cooking or playing games at family gatherings, there was never a dull moment with her around.

Survivors include her mothers, Delfina Trevino and Rosa Cadena; her children, Destiny Cadena, Joe Cadena, Jayvien Gamez, and Thomas Cadena; her high school sweetheart, Joe Cadena; brothers, Henry Trevinos, Ernest Cadena, LeRoy Cadena, Isaac Cadena, and Lucio Padron; uncle, David Trevino; and special aunts, Josie Trevino, Rosie Martinez, Cheva Martinez, Aracili Cadena, Gloria Herrera; special cousins, Leyla Trevino, Rolando Cadena, Isaac Gonzales, Aiden Weins; numerous family and friends. Kristi was preceded in death by her grandmother, Benigna Trevino; and aunt, Mary Ellen Lopez.

Maria Estela Gonzales, 63, passed away after battling cancer on Saturday, June 18, 2022, in San Angelo surrounded by her loving family.

Ms. Gonzales was born August 10, 1958 in San Angelo to Presentacion and Tomasa Gonzales. Estela was a lifelong San Angelo resident. She graduated from Wall High School in 1977. She worked for Modal Uniforms, Taco Bell, Chinese Kitchen and Gandy, Inc., retiring in 2020. Estela was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was a diehard Dallas Cowboy fan, was a great pool player, loved listening to music, and enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.

Estela was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Presentacion Gonzales, Jr., and Fred Gonzales.

Estela is survived by her two daughters, Virginia Munoz and Joann Martinez both of San Angelo; a son, Alex Dayao and Lucy of San Angelo; three sisters, Angilina Ramirez and husband Luis, Rosa Bermea both of San Angelo, and Enedina Renaldo and husband Geronimo, Sr. of Denver City; two brothers, Juan Gonzales, and twin brother, Emilio Gonzales and wife Irma both of San Angelo; four grandchildren, David Ray, Leandra, Adrian, and Natalia Saldivar, and her granddaughter she raised, Aalai Dayao; three great-grandchildren, Elaina, Emiliano, and Evalette Saldivar; Her longtime companion, Jose Villareal; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts and countless number of friends.

Edwin Henry Gripp, Jr, age 87 was called to rest with our heavenly father on Father’s Day, June 19, 2022.

He was born in Victoria TX on April 9, 1935, the oldest son of 4 children. He was a devout Catholic, father, papa, husband, and brother. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1953 and went on to earn a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Texas in 1957. He worked his entire career in management at Texas New Mexico Pipeline. He was an avid hunter, golfer and loved all sports. He journeyed this life well and pressed on against all odds with curiosity, faith and love. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Gripp, His 5 children, Cheryl (Danny), Gordon (Julie), Laura (Tim), Russell (Sandy), and Leanne (Michael), and 3 stepchildren Sandra (Will), Gene (Bianca) and Debra (Greg) and their families. He has 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. His sister Mary and his brother Jimmy and sister-in-law Melva. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lily and Edwin, his brother, Rolla Don, his grandson Brian, his brother-in-law Roger and his nephews John and Scotty Gripp. His legacy of faith in God, love of family and curiosity will live on in the hearts and minds of all who had the honor of knowing him.

Shawn “Turbo” Sebastain Clark, 42, of San Angelo, TX, was taken from this earthly world to be with his Heavenly Father on May 25, 2022. He was born Shawn Troy Allen, June 1, 1979, at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, TX to Dusti Norris. After being adopted by his stepfather, Butch Clark, he changed his middle and last name from Troy Allen to Sebastain Clark. Shawn spent most of his childhood growing up in Ennis, TX, just outside of Dallas. In 2009, Shawn left the Dallas suburbs and headed to West Texas. Here he pursued a career in the construction industry doing everything from tile work and sheet rocking to electrical wiring.  

In the summer of 2014, Shawn met his beloved wife Angela in San Angelo, TX. Their friendship grew into a beautiful love through months of letters and phone calls. On February 13, 2017, Shawn married the love of his life at the Flamingo Hotel Garden in Las Vegas, NV. Shawn was a man of many trades and often called upon for his handyman skills. He had an amazing knowledge of automobiles and if he wasn’t remodeling a house you could find him under the hood of a car. He was a talented artist finding peace and relaxation with a sketch pad and pencil in his hand. He has drawn numerous pictures for his loved ones, including his beloved wife when they couldn’t be together. With his family background and God given talent, Shawn learned at an early age how to create beauty through tattooing. His creative, artistic talent also showed in his love for woodworking. He enjoyed tinkering around by carving and shaping large blocks of wood with the goal to one day make beautiful furniture. Shawn was known for his huge heart and willingness to help whomever, whenever. With so many friends in and around town, he was often called upon when someone was in need. His kind heart and loyalty kept him very busy and always on the go. The words “I’ll be right back” were probably never spoken more by another person. Taken from us too soon, Shawn was a good man and will be missed by many. 

Shawn is preceded in death by his mother, Dusti Clark and Father, Butch Clark. He is survived by (Wife) Angela Clark, (Children) Andrew Hartsell, Shawn Bobby Clark, Sara Summer Clark, and Eric Thomas Clark, (Step-Children) Caitlin, Kendra, and Karsyn, (Brother and Sister In-Law) Christopher and Lorri Allen, and their children Abigail, Christopher, and Velvet, (Parent In-Laws) Edward and Brenda, and multiple other in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as many friends that considered him their “brother”. May we always treasure the good times and memories that we shared with Shawn, forever in our heart he will be.

Mason Christopher Weadock, age 26, went to be amongst Heavenly pastures on Wednesday, June 15th, 2022. 

Mason was born in Kerrville, Texas on February 22, 1996, to proud parents Chris and Ronya Weadock. Mason lived his younger years in Kerrville and Coleman, Texas before moving to Evergreen, Colorado. At age 11, Mason and his family came back to their west Texas roots and settled in Wall, Texas. In 2014 Mason graduated as a Wall Hawk. He was an active member of Wall FFA and Tom Green County 4-H where he pursued his passion for showing and judging livestock. His winnings continue to decorate his family’s home. 

Mason attended South Plains Junior College where he began his livestock judging career and more importantly, met his closest friends. They continued on at Texas Tech University where Mason was a fierce competitor and continued to raise the bar. Mason’s most outstanding accomplishment during his college years was meeting the love of his life, Allison Hinson. Mason adored Allison and planned for many years the perfect time to make her his bride. Mason and Allison were set to be married in 3 months on September 17th. They had big dreams and plans for a beautiful life together. 

After graduating from Texas Tech University with a degree in Agriculture and Applied Economics Mason began his career while continuing to evaluate livestock at numerous shows across the U.S. He worked as an Ag Lender for Vista Bank before securing his dream job as a Relationship Manager with Capital Farm Credit in the Fredericksburg office this past October. He loved the team he worked with and spoke endlessly about his exciting future with them. 

Mason was one of those people that everything came easy to. He loved to cook, hunt, fish, spend time outdoors, play cornhole, watch Tech sports and do just about anything that involved good music and a cold beer. Mason was always the life of the party and never met a stranger. His life was bigger than ever and he strived to be a little bit better of a person each day. Mason loved people more than anything. 

He’s always lent a helping hand and loved nothing more than pouring out a little knowledge to the younger generations. Above all else, Mason’s life was filled with love and grounded in faith. 

Mason is preceded in death by grandfathers, Mike Weadock and Dub Wallis. 

Mason is survived by his loving fiance’ Allison Hinson of Lubbock, parents Ronya and Chris Weadock of San Angelo, and his only sibling Mackenzie Weadock. In-laws to be Teresa and Joe Hinson and brother-in-law to be Layton Hinson. Grandparents Nancy and Kenneth Wendland, Shariann Wallis and Linda Weadock. Aunts and Uncles Kyla and John Dodson, Krista and Chad Upham, Natalie and Dave Pickney and Lisa and Jeff Ledyard. 

Many cousins who Mason adored and loved spending time with include Matt Blair, Katie Blair, Reece Dodson, Lauren Ledyard Peters, Rylee Dodson, Caitlyn Upham, Nathaniel Ledyard, Morgan Upham, Kymber Dodson and Molly Dodson. 

The Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 P.M., Thursday at Harper Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 1:00PM Friday, June 24, 2022, at the First Financial Pavillion, (50 E. 43rd Street, Please park in front of The Foster Communications Coliseum.) Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. The family invites everyone to a reception following the service at the Weadock family home.
