Abelardo D. Mascorro (Abey), 55 of San Angelo, Texas gained his wings the evening of July 28, 2023. Abey was the 12th child of 13th siblings, born December 18, 1967 to Jose Apolinar and Guadalupe De La Pena Mascorro.
Abey Mascorro was a graduate of Wall High School class of 87, he later married his High School Sweetheart Esmeralda Mascorro (Herrera) on August 4, 1993 and they were Blessed with 29 yrs of marriage (almost 30). They were later blessed with 2 children Mia Nichole Mascorro (Rodriguez) & Charlie Alan Mascorro and two grandbabies Raylin Jade Rodriguez & Ryker Jett Rodriguez. All of which were his pride and joy, whom he would move mountains for.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed dancing, traveling, fishing, hunting, golfing and always cutting up, cracking a joke or two, and for anyone who knew him, they knew that he could LIGHT up the room as soon as he walked in. There was nothing that he wouldn’t do for anyone, he was selfless, kind hearted, loving, and the biggest cheerleader at any sports’ game, school function, birthday or accomplishment for his kids’ and grandbabies.
He was a huge Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers fan. Abey was a hard worker and major provider in love and faith for his family, he spent the majority of his life as a truck driver.
A celebration of life and Rosary will be held Friday, August 4, 2023 @ 6pm at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Wall, Texas.
Abey is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Apolinar Mascorro and Guadalupe De La PenaMascorro, and siblings Dora Elia Mascorro, Paul Mascorro and Richard Mascorro. He issurvived by his loving wife, Esmeralda Mascorro, daughter Mia Mascorro Rodriguez and spouseDavid Rodriguez, son Charlie Alan Mascorro and two grandchildren, Raylin Jade Rodriguez andRyker Jett Rodriguez. (Sister) Oralia Pando, (sister) Juana Meza (Herman), (brother) Adolfo Mascorro (Alicia), (brother) Charlie Mascorro, (twin sisters) Leticia and Lilia Mascorro, (sister) Guadalupe Carina Masterson, (sister) Dora Linda Davis and (sister) Sonia Miramontez, and numerous nephews & nieces, brother in laws, and sister in laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
