Ricker Ann

Ruth Ann (Matlock) Ricker, born August 2, 1922 to her parents Ruth Blanks Matlock and William Tillman Matlock of San Angelo. She passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014.Ann had one older brother Wm. T. Matlock, Jr., who died in 1980 and one younger sister, Julie Holtze and one other brother, Dr. Gibb B. Matlock of Dallas, Texas.
Ann graduated from San Angelo High School and attended Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas and San Angelo College. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Jr. League of San Angelo, a docent at San Angelo Fine Arts Museum, and Delta Delta Delta sorority.
She is survived by two daughters; Julia Ryon Berg and husband Roy of Lago Vista, Texas, and Rebecca Ryon of San Angelo. She also has two loved grandchildren; David T James III and wife Rose, and Katherine Harding and husband Richard of San Angelo and two great grandsons; Sabestian James and Maximilliano James. A second beloved grandson, Noel James, died in 1898. As well as other nieces, nephews, and friends.
She enjoyed many family and friends, travel, playing bridge, art, antiques, and flower gardens. She worked for many years, civil service in WWII after the death of her first husband, Ben Angell. Then, Neiman Marcus in Dallas, and she had her own gift shop for 12 years.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, April 7, 2014 at First United Methodist Church in San Angelo. A private burial will take place following.

Hartley Lenard

Lenard A. Hartley was born June 26, 1922 in Aiken, Texas. He went home to meet the Lord on Friday, April 4, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters and is survived by his wife of 72 years, Frances Hartley. He is also survived by his children Jan Reeves, Jean Coluzzi and husband Mike, Jeff Hartley and wife Deidre, Randy Hutchins and wife Andrea, three grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren. He attended Wayland Baptist University, Hardin Simmons University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He served his country as a Merchant Marine in World War II. He spent 64 years in ministry as a pastor, mentor, teacher and consultant to many churches all over the southwest. He retired in 1992 to San Angelo, Texas and has been a major part of helping many area churches. His commitment was centered around helping men and women follow God's calling in their lives. The funeral service will be Monday, April 7, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Paul Ann Baptist Church in San Angelo, Texas. Family visitation will be Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Johnson's Funeral Home in San Angelo, Texas. General visitation will be Saturday, April 5th through Monday, April 7, 2014 at noon.
