Mary Jane Roberts, 83, of Christoval passed away Saturday, November 22, 2014 in an area hospital.

Visitation will be from 5pm to 6pm Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Robert Massie Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 26, 2014 in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Rev. JT Tucker Chaplain of Shannon Medical Center officiating. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mary was born April 4, 1931 to William H. and Garnet M. (Morgan) Williams in Iraan, Texas. She was a very special lady that loved everyone she met and always gave a smile. She will be missed by all who loved her. She confided in her daughter-in-law, Dottie, who was a very special friend and they loved each other “To the Moon and Back”.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Dennis Wayne Roberts and Daniel Lee Roberts; three sisters, Jo Ann Stanley, Lois Schooler, Doris Epperson; and a brother, Billy Williams.

She is survived by Monte Roberts and his wife Dottie of Christoval; daughter, Janie Fletcher and her husband Randy of Odessa; sister, Betty Pogue of Mountain View, Arkansas; brother, Robert Williams of Joplin, Missouri; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A very special “Thank You” to the all medical staff at Shannon Medical Center; Senior Care of San Angelo; Concho Valley Home Health; and all who have assisted with her help.

Novella Mae Jones Dehnel, 93, of San Angelo and formerly of McCamey, Texas, died Sunday, November 23, 2014, and now lives in the presence of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at Belmore Baptist Church with burial following at Belvedere Cemetery in San Angelo. Novella was born on April 13, 1921, in San Angelo to Richard Pierson Hobson Jones and Ruth Elizabeth Singleton Jones. She graduated from Water Valley High School on May 23, 1940. She married Raymond Paul Dehnel on September 15, 1942. They raised their seven children in a home that was centered on Jesus Christ instilling their love for the Lord into their children while living in Colorado City, Midland, and McCamey before retiring to San Angelo. Prior to her marriage to Raymond, Novella accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour as she came to realize her sinfulness and need for a Saviour. 2 Corinthians 5:21 "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." NKJV Novella is preceded in death by her father Richard Pierson Hobson Jones, her mother Ruth Elizabeth Singleton Jones, her brother Samuel Lee Jones, and her daughter Ava Ruth Wagner. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Paul Dehnel of San Angelo; her sister Floy Ray Tonne of San Angelo; daughter Fran Buchanan and husband Ken of San Angelo; daughter Martha Joyce and husband Ken of San Marcos, Texas; daughter Paula Holder and husband Doug of Kermit, Texas; son Richard Dehnel and wife Alice of Sundown, Texas; daughter Wanda May and husband Russell of Hamlin, Texas; and son Douglas Dehnel and wife Sharon of Kennedale, Texas. She is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. Additionally, two more great-grandchildren are expected, one later this week and the next one in May 2015. Jennifer M. Thompson of San Angelo, TX, succumbed to a struggle with cancer on November 22, 2014 at the age of 58.
She was born on September 22, 1956 to Brian and Irene Murphy in Mildura, Australia. Jennifer made her home in San Angelo, Texas where she worked as a manager for several apartment complexes in the area.
She is survived by her two sons, Shannon and Travis Thompson of San Angelo, as well as a host of grand-daughter's, grandsons and a great grandson.
Funeral services will be begin at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Johnson's Funeral Home, with Pastor Joe Grimes officiating.

Barbara Jean Lillie Richards age 91, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on November 18, 2014 in San Angelo, TX after a long and fulfilling life. The Memorial service will be held Saturday November 22, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Sierra Vista United Methodist Church in San Angelo.
Barbara was born in Battle Creek Michigan, growing up on the Michigan Root Prison Farm, where her father was the Senior Correctional Officer/farm manager of the Michigan State Prison system.
Barbara, along with her two sisters Betty and Beverly, attended school in a one room school house that taught students from 1st thru 8th grade. She graduated from East Jackson High School and entered Nursing School at W.A. Foote Memorial Hospital, following in her mother's footsteps as a Registered Nurse. Upon graduating she joined the US Army Nurse Corps as a Second Lieutenant and was stationed in Atlanta Georgia. She was assigned to the 3000 bed Lawson General Army Hospital. She worked in the orthopedic center for returning injured WWII troops. There began her love of surgery. And in Atlanta, in 1945 she met and married William Richards. Upon discharge from the Army Nurses Corps she and Bill lived in Michigan for several years. After one too many long cold winter and being snowed in for over a week with two young children, they decided the winters were too cold and oil too expensive and wanted to move to a warmer climate. They opened a map, closed their eyes, took a pencil, circled around and around then landed on San Angelo, Texas and the rest is history.
In 1949 she began working at Shannon West Texas Memorial Hospital in surgery. She was an instructor at the Shannon School of Nursing, teaching until the nursing program was closed and was moved to Angelo State University. In the Shannon Nursing Program she developed and taught the Operating Room Tech course. At Shannon, she was the In-service Director for many years and there are many nurses today who still remember Mrs. Richards. During her 39 years at Shannon she pretty much met everyone who worked there as they went to her many in-services. She was chairman of the Nurses Educators committee and brought many workshops to this West Texas town. The most notable was when she was able to get the renowned Dr. Elizabeth Kublar-Ross, author of Death, The Final Stage of Growth. Something every nursing student has been taught.
Barbara stayed a busy woman throughout her life. She volunteered as Girl Scout Leader for Patricia and Cheryl. She was a life time member of Concho Pearl Lions Club, working every pancake breakfast at Ft Concho. She was active with the American Heart Association, RSVP program, Three Rivers Good Sam's, Shannon Alumni, and also was very active in her church Sierra Vista United Methodist Church. She traveled all over the US in her RV accompanied many times by her cat H.C. As her children moved she took many overseas trips to visit them in Turkey, Germany and Holland. With friends she joined travel groups to Spain, Switzerland, Nova Scotia, England, Bahamas, and Cozumel, but was never able to take her most wanted trip to Scotland where her family roots are.
She is preceded in death by her father Clarence Lillie and mother Zella Rae Lillie, and sisters Beverly May and Betty Timmerman. She is survived by her son William Richards II (Rosemary) of San Angelo, daughter Karen Rhoads, of Arlington, Patricia Shoemake (Mark) of New Braunfels, and Cheryl Allen of Lubbock. Grandchildren are Stephen Miller(Julie), Mary Richards, Micah Shoemake (Regina), Phillip Shoemake, Chad Allen (Becky), Todd Allen (Sarah), and Brooke Allen-Phares (Kelly) along with 7 great grandchildren; also one niece, Sandra Fink of Columbus Ohio. And her special babies, HC, Teagar, and Reece, her cats.
A special thank you goes to Hospice of San Angelo and Ricci Ogle, who helped care for Barbara in her last year and became one of the family.
