Ornelas Robert Louis "Louie"

Robert Louis "Louie" Ornelas, 58, of San Angelo went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 4, 2014 in San Angelo. The Family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M., - 8:00 P.M., Sunday, at Johnson's Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Monday, December 8, 2014 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Richardson officiating. The Graveside Service will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 8, 2014 at Valley View Cemetery in Robert Lee, Texas. Louie was born September 17, 1956 in San Angelo, Texas to Eulalio and Lucinda Sanchez Ornelas. He grew up in San Angelo on Avenue Q and graduated from Central High School with the class of 1975 and also attended Angelo State University. His Stepfather Javier "Hoppy" Dominguez got him started in masonry work after high school. He worked for various masons in San Angelo eventually creating his own company Twin Arch Masonry which he owned and operated until his passing. Louie was a big man with a big heart and a tremendous love of people. He had a way of staying strong and faithful through all of life's circumstances and his positive energy was limitless. Louie also had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh with his family and friends. His passion was playing sports, especially football, softball, and golf. Everyone who played softball in the San Angelo leagues knew his abilities on the field. Louie also loved music, dancing, studying history and travelling but his greatest passion was his family. He married his soulmate Cathryn Rheana Pierce Flores on March 28, 2009 in San Angelo Texas. Together they blended a "Brady Bunch" family with much laughter and love. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him and his memory will live on in our hearts forever. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Julia Garcia, Tina McDaniel, Daniel Ornelas, Thelma Aguirre, Lucy Ornelas, and Robert Ornelas. Louie is survived by his wife, Cathryn "Cathy" Ornelas, of San Angelo; his children, Robert Louis Ornelas II "Little Louie," Stephen Frank Ornelas and his wife Jessica, all of San Angelo, Oscar Ornelas and his fiancée Tiphany Orticke, of Austin, Chad Glidewell, of Dallas, Rheana Flores, of San Angelo and Daniel Flores, of Austin; his Grandchildren, Aden Ornelas and Ella Troncoso; his Brother, Arthur Ornelas and wife Rosario of San Angelo; his Sister, Jane Zuniga and husband Marty, of San Angelo. Louie is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other family members and close friends too numerous to mention. Pallbearers for the service will be Tommy Zamarripa, Mario Zuniga, Jr., Arthur Ornelas, Jr., Adam Reyes, Robert Louis Ornelas, II, and Jesse Diaz.

Schulz Rose Lee

Rose Lee Schulz, loving wife, mother and grandmother, 87 of San Angelo passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014. She was born on May 22, 1927 to Adam and Pauline (Hollas) Michalewicz in Lott, Texas.
Rose married Paul D. Schulz on May 13, 1949 in San Angelo. She was a Registered Nurse and worked in the San Angelo hospitals and she retired from the state school in Carlsbad. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Rose is preceded in death by her parents and husband Paul in 1987.
She is survived by her children; Paul Wayne Schulz and wife Sarah, Michael Alan Schulz and wife Ginny, Kathleen Rose Wrinkle, and Daryl Gene Schulz and wife Robin; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and her siblings, Earnest Michalewicz, Lorene Wilde, James Michalewicz, Shirley Ann Halfmann, and Betty Simon.
Visitation will be 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm, Sunday December 7th at Johnson's Funeral Home. Services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, December 8, 2014, at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Randall Wehmeyer, officiating. Burial to follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.

GARCIA ELIZABETH F.

Elizabeth F. Garcia, 82, of San Antonio, passed away on December 5, 2014 at the home of her daughter in San Antonio, TX. 

Rosary will be 6pm Sunday December 7, 2014 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am Monday December 8, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Joey Faylona, officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. 

She was born on November 19, 1932 to Anastacio and Felipa (Villanueva) Flores in San Angelo, TX. Elizabeth worked as OB-GYN nurse for Shannon Medical Center, was Director of Planned Parenthood and a Head Start nurse. On March 6, 1949 she married Sabino Garcia in Avondale, AZ.

She was a member of Southside Lions Club – Lioness, Concho Pearls Lion Club – President, St. Mary Catholic Church Morning Glories and Parish Life, an ACTS Retreat Director.

She is predeceased by her parents, husband, and a son Charles Garcia.

Elizabeth is survived by her loving children; Linda and husband, Ray Moya of San Antonio, George Richard and wife, Annabella Garcia, Elizabeth and husband, Ruben Garza, Robert and wife, Arlene Garcia, all of San Angelo; grandchildren are Tracy and Mike Deuel, George Richard Jr., Christina and Christopher Garcia, Louie, Stephen and Oscar Ornelas, Melisa and Cameron Dudley, Anne and Rene´ Fernandez, Marina and Gabriel Llanas and Jesse Garcia; great grandchildren are Dylan and Aubrey Carson, Tyler Grey and Riley Woodard, Jordan Fernandez Tambunga, Josie and Chris Llanas; brothers, Daniel and Ben Flores.

Tonne Floy Ray

Floy Ray (Jones) Tonne left this earth on November 30th, 2014 and was greeted at Heaven’s gates by her husband of 70 years, Alfred O. Tonne, the parents to which she was born on February 11, 1919, RPH (Hobson) and Ruth (Singleton) Jones. Also there to greet her was her very special sister Novella Dehnel, younger brother Sam Jones and her Great Granddaughter, Cheyenne Bednar.
Growing up during the depression, Floy Ray learned at an early age to work hard and continued to do so up until this last year. She worked multiple jobs from a full service laundry, bookkeeping, teaching and in later years quilting, along with her fabulous cooking through the years.
During her teaching career at Eola, Carlsbad, Mereta and Wall, she made lasting friendships with students, parents, other teachers and members of those communities.
She was always volunteering and involved with activities at the Eola Baptist Church, the Eola Community Center and the various schools that she worked for, or where her kids or her Grandkids attended. She was always supportive her children and more especially with her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Her Great-Great grandkids would come to join her for Halloween festivities during her last years.
Floy Ray is survived by her four children and their spouses, Alfred Lee and Susan Tonne of Buda, Benny and Priscilla Tonne of Eola, Shirley and Clifford Berry of Shallowater and Elizabeth and Herman McGill of San Angelo. Her eleven grandchildren Glen (Kelly) Berry, Paul (Allison) Tonne, Kathy (Bill) Berry-Brunson, Vince (Lori Jo) Bednar, Vanzant (Bridgette) Bednar, Darrell (Melissa) Tonne, Melissa Tonne-Durst, Doug (Denise) Tonne, Vannessa (Eugene) Bednar-Gibson, Debbie Tonne and Marcus Wright. She also has 23 great-grandkids and 9 great-great grandkids. She is survived by her in-laws Raymond Dehnel, Mozzelle Tonne and Gussie Tonne, as well as numerous special nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2:00 pm in the Robert Massie Funeral Chapel, followed by internment at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Eola Baptist Church, the Eola Community Center, or a charity of your choice.

Kuester Rose Zimmerman

Rose Zimmerman Kuester, 100 years young, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2014, in her home surrounded by loved ones.
Graveside service will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with James Hassell officiating under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Rose was born in Bartlett, TX to Frank and Louise Zimmerman on October 5, 1914. She married Vernon Kuester on September 8, 1934 in Houston, TX. They were married 68 years at the time of his passing in 2002.
She is survived by her sister Lucile Finn, and brother Pete Zimmerman along with nieces and nephews. Also left to cherish her memory is Mike Doak, who was like a brother to Rose for many years.
Rose lived her life to the fullest, celebrating her 100th birthday at the Texas State Fair. She remained in her home to the very end thanks to her wonderful caregivers, Lisa Goetz, Diane Irwin and Juanita Barrera. Rose had a special place in her heart for her angel, Stephanie Bird, who was by her side for nearly 15 years. Rose was a wonderful Christian lady who always lived for her Saviour Jesus Christ. She taught everyone to love God, love each other, how to forgive and to just simply do good in this world. She blessed each person she met in her 100 years on this earth. She was a true inspiration to all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
Special thanks to her doctors; Vayden Stanley, Raj Cheruku and Toyha Harper along with their staff for always taking such good care of her. Also thanks to Hospice of San Angelo for the wonderful care during her last week.

Jackson May Elizabeth

May Elizabeth Keys Jackson was born Nov. 30, 1928 to John Keys and Elizabeth Mae Terry Keys. She grew up on her parent's farm in the Fairview area. May passed peacefully from this life on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mae Keys; her husband, Clay Jackson, and one sister, Willie Rebecca Keys.May graduated from San Angelo Central High School in 1944. She won the state speech championship and competed in the national contest. She received her BA from Baylor University in 1948 and received her master's degree from Angelo State University.May married her high school sweetheart, Clay Howard Jackson, on Nov. 27, 1948. They spent over 44 years together as husband and wife. She was an educator and began her teaching career in 1949 at Lee Jr. High School. Throughout her teaching career, May taught elementary, junior high, and high school levels. She was a principal for eight years and retired in 1982. After retiring from teaching, May opened up a children's clothing boutique. She spent many years travelling to the Dallas Market and choosing the most stylish clothes for infants to teenagers.May also loved to travel! She enjoyed numerous trips with Clay and with her sister, Robert Ann Keys Jones. Her passports were stamped by countries all over the world. She served as a member of the Ziphron Temple Daughters of the Nile for over 51 years.May is survived by her sister, Robert Ann Keys Jones; her daughter Jan, and Michael Duncan; her son Roy, and Teri Jackson; her four grandchildren: John and Kacy Jackson, Dallas and Sam Franklin, Ellis and Chris Bonness, Jackson Duncan and Sara Dalrymple. She is also survived by six great grandchildren: Mikayla and GT Jackson; Clay, Ellen, Conner and Caleb Bonness, and one nephew David Jones and his wife Tina.The family would like to thank the staff of Meadow Creek and HOSA for their exceptional care these past two months. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of San Angelo, Belmore Baptist Church, or Meals for the Elderly. Graveside service is at 2 pm Tuesday in Fairmount Cemetery with Rev. Toby Irwin officiating.
