Vivian Bessie Sanchez

01/10/2024 - 09:47 , by TKing09

Vivian Bessie Anaya was born to Jose and Bersabe Anaya on December 2, 1945 in Sterling Colorado. Vivian Sanchez was taken to Heaven on January 5, 2024 by her Lord and Savior.

Vivian was born into a family that had very little to provide for their 12 children. She quickly felt the need to help her Mom in and around the busy household. At a young age she began to cook, wash and clean for her siblings.

Vivian and her siblings were often left for months on end to care for themselves while their parents left to work. She once counted 13 schools attended by the 8th grade. This course up-bringing helped mold her faith in God and perseverance to do more for her children.

In 1961, Vivian married Arturo Marin. In this marriage they had 2 daughters. Diana and Catherine Marin. The couple spent their next few years in Yuba City, California. The marriage ended after only a few years.

In 1968, Vivian met the love of her life, Jose Sanchez while working at a farm in Yuba City, California. Vivian was working as a laborer and Jose was operating a tractor. She spotted him while he was arm wrestling for extra money during their lunch break. Vivan and Jose started dating and fell in love. They were married in Reno Nevada on July 18, 1969. To this union were born Vivian and Jose Jr (Joe). The couple moved between California and Texas and eventually settled in Eldorado, TX.

Vivian was a loving housewife that cared for her children and husband. She took great pride in her clean home and great cooking. Her tortillas, caldos, guisos and salsa were bar-none. Mom became rich with the love of her 19 grandchildren. She and Jose always cherished the time spent with each of their grandchildren. Vivian took most pride in her Catholic faith as she believed in Jesus Christ our Savior.

In 2017 she underwent a procedure that did not go as planned and left her with little function of her left arm and right leg. Over the past few years her health continued to decline due to her impairment. Vivian never lost her faith and always prayed for health, prosperity and blessings for her family.

Vivian Bessie is survived by her loving husband, Jose Sanchez Sr. Children – Diana Farris, Guadalupe Sanchez Anguiano, Vivian Mata and husband Efraim, Jose Sanchez Jr(Joe) and wife Jodi. She had 19 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Vivian Bessie’s siblings: Joe Louis & Rosa Anaya, Delifinia Anaya Torres, Sister-in-Law and God Mother-Ynocencia Sandoval Anaya, Andrew and Louisa Anaya, Joe and Carmen Anaya, Guadalupe Anaya and Antonio Anaya.

Vivian is preceded in death by her mother and father Bersabe and Jose Anaya. Her daughter Catherine Marin. Her siblings Richard Anaya and wife Marcela, Mary Helen Parraz, Timoteo Anaya, Torivio”Toby” Ponce and wife Margie and Bitalio Anaya.

We would like to pass a special thank you to Dr. Radley Nichols and his staff at the Shannon Center for Wound Care. Gentiva Hospice of San Angelo took special care of Vivian when most in need. Lastly, Staci Chatham and the Staff of the Schleicher County Nursing Home performed an impeccable job caring for Vivian. The love and care they provide for the elderly is unparallel.

In Vivian’s memory, a rosary will be held on Thursday 6pm at Johnson’s Funeral Home in San Angelo. Subsequently, the family will hold a private burial.

The Family asks that in lieu of flowers that one can make a donation to the Dementia Society of America.

Tyler Kenneth Dixon

01/08/2024 - 09:09 , by TKing09

Football. Basketball. Golf. Badminton. He was our sports guy. He counted down the weeks until football season. Every Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, from September to February, you knew he was paying extra for YouTube TV, just for his football. He loved his Dallas Cowboys through all the seasons. Every year was “their year”. And even though they’re still working hard on that, Tyler never loved them any less.

Tyler Kenneth Dixon entered this world on February 18th, 1986 to Cathy and Mike Dixon on Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota. Throughout his school years, he was known as the class clown, and everyone’s friend; a reputation that followed him the rest of his life. His mom and dad dragged him all around the USA as he grew up. He’s visited the faces of Mount Rushmore, seen Niagara Falls, built snow tunnels in New York, swam the beaches of Florida, fished the bays of Mississippi, and eventually made Texas his forever home where he shared the best life with all of his family. Tyler always took his role as a big brother seriously….or not. Whether it be going 90mph with his two preteen sisters in the back of his silver Pontiac Sunfire, introducing inappropriate music and Adam Sandler movies, or traumatizing his youngest two sisters with horror movies, he loved his sisters with all his heart.

More than the Dallas Cowboys, he loved his four boys. As compensation for sharing a bathroom with sisters for sixteen years, God blessed him with his four boys. His oldest, Cash, rocked his world and brought out a side of Tyler that became his main mission in life: fatherhood. Soon, Jedidiah followed, and then Owen. Tyler devoted his life to his boys, and recently welcomed his fourth precious boy, Beau; officially solidifying his role of being a boy dad.

Tyler married the love of his life, Danielle in October of 2021. Whether it be going to concerts, being professional food critics, or watching junk TV, Tyler and Danielle loved each other deeply and crammed a lifetime of memories into the two precious years they had together.

Tyler took with him the kindest, most gentle heart. We will forever cherish the years we had with him. His soft, gentle voice, his big brother hugs… and his IT abilities. Who is going to fix our phones now?!

While surrounded by family, Tyler met Jesus face to face on January 3, 2024 at the age of 37. The insatiable, gaping wound he leaves behind is only made whole by knowing he is healed and whole and that we will see him again one day.

Join us in all your Dallas Cowboys gear as we celebrate the beautiful life of Tyler Dixon on Tuesday, January 9th at 10AM at Christoval Baptist Church. Graveside burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. The visitation will be Monday January 8th from 5-7PM at Harper Funeral Home.

In the words of Dave Matthews Band, Ty’s favorite….

“My voice is soft, but oh, my heart roars!”
