Escobedo Imelda Flores

Imelda Flores Escobedo, age 82 of San Angelo, died suddenly on September 9, 2020, in San Angelo.

Public Viewing will be on Monday, September 14th from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM

The Rosary will be said on Monday, September 14th at 6:00 PM at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 15th at 10:00 AM at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Imelda was born in Morales, Mexico on March 21, 1938, to Arturo Flores and Enedina Galindo Salinas Rodriguez. She married Rogelio Escobedo and they moved to San Angelo in 1979.

Imelda worked for Levi Strauss for over twenty-one years. After retirement, she stayed a very active and independent woman. Even though she never learned to drive, she was always on the go she took the bus everywhere and anywhere! In fact her family had to make appointments to see her, and they had to make sure they gave her plenty of notice of upcoming celebrations because if they didn't, they could be sure she already had plans with her friends to go play bingo or Lotteria.

Imelda was a meticulous person that kept things organized and tidy. Always full of energy, she never slowed down, even after a triple by pass until the time of her death.

She was preceded in death her parents; seven sisters; a grandson Roberto Mesa; and her husband Rogelio.

Imelda is survived by her daughter, Maria Mesa Escobedo; he son Jose Escobedo and his wife Eva all of San Angelo; her grandchildren, Jose Escobedo Jr, Michael Escobedo, Danielle Escobedo and Miguel Mesa; and many loving friends and neighbors that loved and cared for her.

Benita “Annette” Maberry, age 61 of San Angelo, entered the gates of Heaven on September 9, 2020 in San Angelo.

There are no services currently planned. Cremation arrangements are Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Annette was born on August 24, 1959, in San Angelo to her parents John and Thelma Thomas Maberry.

Annette was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her daughter, Arriva Chanel Maberry; her son Cleady Darnell Maberry; two sisters, Debra Smith and Delores Norton; her brother Eddie Pope and his wife Elaine; by her grandchildren, JaVante Maberry and DeShanae Wheaton; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mike Terrazas, Sr., 87, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020, in San Angelo.

Public viewing will from 12:30 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday, September 13, 2020, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Monday, September 14, 2020, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mr. Terrazas was born January 2, 1933 in San Angelo to Felix and Lala Terrazas. Mike was lifelong resident of San Angelo. He was a 1951 graduate of Central High School. Mike enlisted into the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict. Mike loved golf. He spent his whole life in the golf business. He loved to give golf lessons and talk to people. Mike was a man who always gave someone a hand when they needed it. He had many lifelong friends. Mike started his career early, he would caddie at the San Angelo Country Club at an early age. He went on to work at many golf courses in West Texas. He was Golf Pro at Riverside Golf Course, Lamesa Country Club, Crane Country Club, Ballinger Country Club, and he was the Assistant Pro at, San Angelo Country Club, Meadow Brook Golf course in Lubbock. Mike ended as career as Head Pro at Santa Fe Golf Course. Mike leaves a legacy of kindness and integrity.

Survivors include two sons, Mike Terrazas, Jr. and wife Tereza, and Joe D. Terrazas all of San Angelo; two daughters, Debbie Terrazas of San Angelo, and Barbara Terrazas Cuffey and husband Clifford of Midland; a sister, Elaine Gonzales and husband Fred of San Angelo; 10 grandchildren, Michelle Chapa and husband Danny, Lisa Terrazas, Kristal Garza, A.J. Garza, LeeRay Medina, Macario Medina, Raymond Medina, Magdaleno Medina, Jr., Mary Medina, and Alma Flores and husband Dennis; 15 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Sylvia Terrazas.

Bennie Jo Perryman, 88, "Mother Perryman" received her wings and took flight Wednesday, September 2, 2020, in San Angelo.

Public viewing will be from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM with a family visitation from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, September 11, 2020, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 12, 2020, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Mrs. Bennie Perryman was born November 12, 1931 in Luling to the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry and Francis Hodge. Bennie was the second oldest of five children. She attended public school in Sonora and Big Lake. Bennie was fondly called "Meg-Maw", she touched so many lives with her warm smile and, most of all her love for the Lord. Bennie confessed in Christ at a very early age and, she never wavered. She united with San Angelo Greater I.M.E Church in 1991 under the leadership of the late Rev. Q.H. Blackmon, and then Rev. Joseph Suiters. Bennie loved her church and church family where she proudly served on the Pastor's aide, and kitchen ministry with her warm smile she welcomed you in as head usher. She worked diligently with Missions Society and Stewardess Society. Bennies motto “was to do things decent and in order.” Mama never got tired, and loved what she did. She was a devoted and faithful member until her health failed.

Mother Perryman leaves to cherish her memory five daughters, Martha P. Crawford, Helen P. Williams, Glenda Rose and husband Billy all of San Angelo, Karen Williams and husband Derwin of Austin and Debra Franklin of Jacksonville, Florida; three sons, Chief Thomi Perryman of Los Angeles, California, Thomas Perryman of San Angelo and Ottway Perryman and wife Patricia of Donna; Michael Collins of San Angelo; a sister, Mary Bradley Owens of San Diego, California; ten grandchildren; twenty seven great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a cousin who she considered a brother, Henry A. Hawkins of Seguin; two very special friends, Mrs. Ophelia Bargley and Mrs. Betty Charlesworth; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Bennie was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Willie James Perryman, Jr., and Henry Lee Perryman; three sisters, Mrs. Louisiana House, Mrs. Bertha Spears, and Mrs. Glenn D. Collins.

Gray Robert "Bob" Preston

Robert “Bob” Preston Gray, age 72, of San Angelo, TX, passed on September 5th, 2020 after a long battle with heart failure. 
A viewing service will be held at 6:00 pm, on Thursday, September 10th, 2020 at Harpers Funeral Home, 2606 Southland BLVD, San Angelo, TX 76904, and will conclude at 8:00 pm. 
Robert will be buried in the Prairie Valley Cemetery, next to his baby sister, Ivory Ailene, in Whitney, TX. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 12th, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Prairie Valley Baptist Church. 
Born on May 1st, 1948 to Anna Jo Slaten and Thomas Preston Gray, Robert was the 4th of 8 children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna Slaten and Thomas Gray, sisters, Ivory Ailene and Mary Jo McCool-Miller, younger brother, William Talley Gray, and his beloved nephews, Billy McCool and Michael Stacey Gray. He is survived by his only daughter, Toni Gray Price, her husband, Billy Joe Price, and their two daughters, Mackenzie Cheyenne and Logan Valorie Price, of San Angelo, TX. Robert is also survived by his sister, Marjorie Webb and her three children, his sister Margaret Wright and her two sons, and his sister, Sue Corley, and her husband, Tom. Lastly, Robert is survived by his “forever protector” and “big” brother, Thomas Michael “Mike” Gray and his partner: Janie McDaniel; and by many more of his family and friends. 
Robert Gray is a veteran and decorated hero of the Vietnam War; Specialist Four, LT. of Weapons; 2nd Battalion, 101st Airborne Infantry LZ Sally 9/3/68-8/18/1969; his last assignment, Co. B, 5th Battalion, 6th Infantry, 1st Armed, DIV. 
Robert earned several medals for his service: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with '4' Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Sharpshooter (Rifle) and (M-60MG) Marksman Medal, and Purple Heart. Robert served his country with pride and honor, and in spite of his many accolades, Robert was a humble man and never wanted any attention for his military service. Very few people knew of Robert’s achievements, awards, or special honors. He lived and died as a proud and courageous man. Robert’s memory and spirit will continue to live on through the many precious and irreplaceable memories he left behind with his loved ones.  
Our family would like to sincerely thank all of the many wonderful physicians and nurses of SACMC, who helped in taking care of Robert during these last years: Dr. John Hunt M.D. of 26 years, Dr. Milton Leon M.D. of 15 years, Dr. Ayala – Torres M.D. at the West Texas VA Clinic; Dr. Michael Strayer M.D., Dr. James Touchy M.D., Dr. Wesley Hamilton M.D., Dr. "Joe" Kasburg M.D., Dr. Anthony MacDonald M.D., Dr. Abner Asevedo M.D., and Dr. Dennis Durham M.D.; Robert appreciated every single person who helped with his care. Our family cannot thank you all enough for all of the compassion and dedication that Robert received; and special thanks for always allowing Robert to feel like the “King of the Castle” during every one of his stays.
