Maciel Daniel

Daniel Maciel went to weld the gates of heaven on December 21, 2013. 
Dan was born on January 28,1950 to Ninfa Maciel Lara and was raised by his loving mother and step father Phillip Lara. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters Mary Lou Casanova and Elizabeth Perez.
He attended Central High School and served in the United States Marine Corp. He was a Bobcat fan and a proud Marine till the end. Semper Fi!
Rosary will be 7:00 pm. Thursday at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel.
Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Friday December 27, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with burial following in Belvedere Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Silver five children Daniel Maciel Jr., Betty Jo Maciel, Chriselda Carrillo, Angela Maciel Ramirez and husband, and Ruben Aguero also five step children Johnny Maes, Desi Maes, Jacob Maes, Ruth Anne Maes, and Guy Maes and a very special Grandson Daniel Mayned, and a sweet little granddaughter Isabella Maes, two brothers Phillip Lara Jr., Tony Lara, Two sisters Sylvia Vasquez and husband Picano, Martha Martinez, and his beloved Aunts Janie Ortiz, Delores Sarabia, Frances Nieves, and Manuela Arrendo and husband Jose, Anna Valenzula and husband Ismael, a uncle Jose Maciel and Amanda, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews he is also survived by his beloved shihtzu's Peewee, Abby, and Mishu.

Chavez Gilbert

Gilbert R. “Gembo” Chavez, 90, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at local care center. 

Rosary service will be held at 6:00 pm on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. 

Mass will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 30, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father A. Swamy Lakkineni officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. 

Gilbert was born on May 14, 1923 in Sonora, TX to Severo and Margarita (Rodriguez) Chavez. 
Gilbert served his county in the U.S. Army during World War II where he received a Purple Heart Medal. He worked for Terrill Manufacturing for many years and Weathersby Electric also for many years. Gilbert enjoyed life and having a good time. 

Gilbert is survived by his son Gilbert Chavez, Jr. of San Angelo; son Richard Chavez and wife, Cynthia of San Angelo; daughter Mary Ann Felan of San Antonio; son Fabian Torres of San Angelo; daughter Gloria Salas of San Angelo; daughter Cynthia A. Ramirez of San Angelo; his twin brother Severo Chavez, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV; sister Anita Urias of Ft. Worth; sister Olga Gomez of San Jose, CA; sister Lily Trevino of Bakersfield, CA; a special nephew Sylvester Garza and wife, Amelia of San Angelo and nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
