Two-Hour Standoff in North San Angelo Ends in Arrest

 

The area near MLK Park was crawling with police last night for approximately two hours when the San Angelo police responded to a call of a subject threatening to harm himself at roughly 7:08 p.m.

The call originated from another agency, who had been dealing with the subject for telephone harassment, SAPD Lt. Mike Hernandez said.

When the officers arrived on scene, the subject began making threats to harm himself and a two-hour standoff ensued, ending at approximately 9:00 p.m.

No one was injured in the standoff and an arrest was made.

I'm glad everything ended "well" with no lives ended or endangered.

..for the lockdown of the area/diversion of traffic. A guy making harassing phone calls and then threatening to harm himself? I sure hope the poor dear is ok.
