Slew of Assault Charges Mark Wednesday Jail Bookings

Twenty-nine individuals were arrested on charges of various crimes Wednesday, a surprising number of which were for assault. Five of those booked were assault-related, an additional two for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. 

Possession was down on Wednesday, with only one arrest for drugs, one for dangerous drugs and two for marijuana, while DWI accounted for two and PI for one arrest. 

Additionally, there was one individual booked for fleeing an officer, one for credit card fraud and one for unlawful possession of a firearm.

Thirty-one inmates were released on Wednesday.
