Holland Murray Weldon

06/20/2014 - 09:47 , by johnb

Murray (Weldon) Holland, 82, of Tolar (formerly of San Angelo) passed away on June 18, 2014 in San Angelo. He recently returned home to be with family.
Weldon was born in Eldorado, Texas to Mark Holland and Bertha Spencer on December 23, 1931. He was raised in the Eldorado and San Angelo communities. He attended San Angelo High School. Dad, as we so dearly called him, worked in food management and was a Dairy Queen foreman and supervisor, later becoming a refrigeration repair man and owing his own business.
He had a wide array of interests including but not limited to woodcrafts, antiquing, flea marketing and any activity involving him being outdoors. He loved to sit and watch mother nature.
Weldon is survived by his two daughters, Dianne Smith and her husband Roy and Kathy Carter and her husband Gary. He is also survived by his brother Jack Holland and his wife Mary, five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to his loyal and loving friends in Tolar, TX, Chad Kennington, Truman and Ailene Yant and Leann Falk. We also appreciate the care and attention given to Weldon by Hospice of San Angelo.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014 in the Eldorado Cemetery in Eldorado, TX. under the care and direction of Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North.
“Until we meet again”,
