Cornelio Valencia, 73, of Mertzon, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014 in Big Lake, TX.
Mr. Valencia was born June 23, 1941 in Mertzon, TX. He is preceded in death by his son, Fabian Valencia.
Rosary will be Friday, June 27, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/Knickerbocker. Funeral service will be Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Mertzon. Interment will follow in Mertzon Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/ Knickerbocker.
Survivors include two sons, Joe Valencia of San Antonio and Cornelio Valencia Jr. of San Angelo; three daughters, Sylvia de la Cruz and husband Juan of Big Lake, Rose Pena and husband Lloyd of San Angelo and Sally Valencia of Mertzon; three brothers, Sabastian Valencia, Albert Valencia and Pablo Valencia all of Mertzon and three sisters, Ninfa Holtz of San Angelo, Beatriz Torres of Big Lake and Tina Gonzales of Mertzon. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Manuela Valencia of San Antonio.

Nestor Castillo, 40, of San Angelo, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014.
Funeral service will be Friday, June 27, 2014 at 2:30 in the “Rememberance Chapel” of Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North. Interment will follow in Belvedere Memorial Park under the direction of Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North.
Survivors include his mother, Evelia Castillo; four brothers, Juan Castillo, Aurelio Castillo and Luis Castillo all of San Angelo and Cirilo Castillo of Austin; one sister, Evelia Castillo of San Angelo.
