Archie R. Spain went to the loving arms of Jesus on January 30, 2015.
Archie was born in Draper, NC; an US Navy Veteran of the Korean War; worked as a machinist at San Angelo Grinding & Co. and Ethicon.
He is survived by his loving spouse of fifty-one years, Alta “Ruth” Spain, and their nine children: Sue Crocker (Robert), Chuck Warick (Julie), Gary Warick (Carolyn). Alicia Wheeler (Tony), Carol Boyce (Bennie), Ford Warick (Sharon), Sandra Whittington (Tim), Shirley Medders (Gene), and (Jennifer Spain), twenty-four grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son, Roy, and his parents and siblings.
Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Lake View Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Lake View Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way.
