Parish Ralph A.

Ralph A. Parish, 85, of San Angelo passed away on Monday, June 23, 2014 in San Angelo.

Viewing will be from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2014 at the Robert Massie Funeral Home.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church with the Reverend Matthew Rowe officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church Columbarium. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Ralph was born on March 19, 1929 in Alpena, Michigan to Ralph Parish Sr. and Vivian Sparks. He graduated San Angelo High School in 1947, then went to San Angelo College, and joined The United States Army serving in the Korean War. After the service, he married Evelyn Cochran on June 21, 1953 in San Angelo and went to Texas Tech. He was a retired salesman and a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter, Brenda Webb.

Ralph is survived by his wife of 61 years, Evelyn; sons, Alan Parish of San Angelo; Jerrell Parish of Austin; a daughter, Lisa Ziriax of Jacksonville, Florida; a sister, Marjorie Garner and her husband Pete of Odessa, seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

SAN ANGELO Michael Lynn Boykin Sr., 55, of San Angelo, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, in San Angelo. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2014, at Johnson's Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2014, in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Michael was born Oct. 1, 1958, to John Boykin and Gladys Marie Tubbs. He spent his life working in the construction and carpentry industry for Mike Eckert and Lee Pfluger. He met and later married Teresa Bevills on Aug. 21, 1978, and they shared 36 beautiful years together. Michael was a loving husband, father and grandfather who devoted his life to his family. He loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing, driving his favorite Mustang and hunting arrowheads with his grandchildren. He had a passion for spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Michael loved to laugh and make people laugh and at the same time always got his way. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Michael was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Boykin; his father, John Boykin and his wife, June; his children, Jessica and Jake Russell, Michael Boykin Jr. and Lindsey Boykin and Shawna Boykin and Ronnie Blaylock; his grandchildren, Nathan Jordan, Kayla and Caiden Ordiway, Gaige and Garen Boykin, Andy, Kenny, Jake Jr. and Logan Russell; his sisters, Linda Calaway and her husband, Mike, and Beverly Pearson; his brothers, William Workman and his wife, Bisty, and Benny Workman and his wife, Carolyn; nephew Jody Calaway; and Michael's beloved dogs, "Blaster" and "Roxie." Michael is also survived by his great bosses, Mike Eckert, Lee Pfluger and Betty White, who all did so much for him. The family would like to extend special thanks to the caregivers at Hospice of San Angelo, Laura, Debbie and Shirley for all of the loving care given to Michael.
