Ratliff Faye

Faye Ratliff, 88, of San Angelo passed away on Friday, October 24, 2014 at her residence after a long and fulfilling life.

Memorial Services will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Dr. James Hassell of First Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Faye was born December 6, 1925 to Doyle and Norine (Jones) Perdue in Honey Grove, Texas. She married Donald Charles Ratliff Jr. on December 25, 1949 in Ozona, Texas and previously worked for State Farm Insurance as a bookkeeper. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church and a dedicated member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha International for over 60 years. Through her affiliation with Theta Alpha chapter of ESA, she devoted her life to helping those less fortunate; especially children through St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee and many local agencies such as the March of Dimes, Concho Valley Home for Girls, West Texas Rehab and Boys Ranch.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Rev. William Perdue.

Faye is survived by her son, Donald C. Ratliff III, his wife Rebecca; her sister Nancy Hall; and her brother Kenneth Perdue. Also, her grandchildren: Sarah Duerstine, Clint Rawls and Brandon Rawls along with one GREAT grandchild: Thomas Duerstine. Faye is also survived by her very special nieces and nephews, Barbara Petrey, her husband James; Denise Goddard, her husband Robert and Lance Hall, along with several great nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Epsilon Sigma Alpha Foundation, 363 West Drake Road, Fort Collins, CO 80526.

Mata Francisco Trejo

Francisco Trejo Mata, 86 went to be with the Lord on Tuesday October 21, 2014 at his residence.
Family visitation will be 6pm to 8pm Wednesday October 22, 2014 at Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 10:00am Thursday October 23, 2014 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Francisco was born July 4, 1928 to Pablo and Florinda (Trejo) Mata in Villa Union, Coah. He worked at Western Iron Works for many years. He married Lilia Arispe on November 20, 1950 and next month; they would have shared 64 years together.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons; Javier and Modesto Cortez, Manuel and Adam Mata, and Angel and Johnny Pena.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife; Lilia Mata, five daughters; Armandina Cortez, Martha Moore and husband, Dwayne, Norma Ruiz and husband, Raul, Juana Pena and husband, Robert, Elia Acevedo and husband, Marino and four sons; Roman Mata, Juan Mata, Jose Mata and wife, Brenda and Jason J. Mata; 27 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren all of San Angelo; two sisters; Veva Mata husband, Paz, Anita Mata and a brother; Refugio Mata.
The family wants to extend a special thank you to Hospice of San Angelo, Dr. Demory and Dr. Nussey, their nurses and staff for the excellent loving care shown to our family

Felipe H. Reyna Jr., 44, of San Angelo, passed away Monday, Oct. 21, 2014, in a local care center. Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, in Robert Massie Funeral Home Riverside Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, San Angelo, Texas, with Father Emilio Sosa officiating. Burial will take place in Calvary Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
He was born Sept. 18, 1970, to Felipe and Rosa Elia (Hipolito) Reyna in Cuidad Acuna, Mexico. He graduated from Central High School. Felipe worked as a radio broadcaster for KSJT.
Pallbearers will be his son, Jared Reyna; and his brothers, Orlando and Hector Reyna and Arturo Luna, Ariel Lozano, Alejandro Perez and Roberto Gonzales.
He was preceded in death by mother Rosa Elia Reyna.
Felipe is survived by his two sons, Felipe Andres Reyna and Jared Felipe Reyna; daughter Shilah Sophia Reyna; father Felipe Reyna Sr., two sisters, Marivel Reyna and husband Ariel and Rosy Reyna; and two brothers, Orlando Reyna and Hector Reyna, all of San Angelo, Texas.

Adams Jacob Lee

On Monday, October 20, 2014, Jacob Lee Adams went to be with our Lord.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Adams and their infant daughter, Gracie Adams, mother; Denise Adams; father, Harold Adams; as well as siblings, Johnny Adcock Jr., Joshua Adams and Chelsea Adams. His grandparents were Dennis and Gracie Sanders and he also had numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
He is known and remembered as a loving, caring, funny, helpful and compassionate soul. His family remembers him as a precocious and witty child who kept his parents and grandparents constantly on their toes.
In the last year, Jacob overcame the struggles of a boy running the streets to become a man who found happiness in loving and serving his Savior and his family.
His friends remember him as “Snacob”, stubbornly loyal and unforgettable. His wife and daughter will never forget his unrelenting devotion while struggling with what we now know was a severely defective heart valve and the infection that attacked it.
Viewing will be 10:00am to 4:00pm Thursday Oct. 23, 2014 Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Services will be 4:00pm Thursday October, 23, 2014 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Pastor Brandon Clark of Celebration Church, officiating.
Burial will be 1:00pm Saturday October 25, 2014 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens

Sipe Cathie Mae

Cathie Mae Sipe, of San Angelo passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014 in San Angelo.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with J. T. Tucker, Chaplain at Shannon Medical Center, officiating. Burial next to her husband will be at a later date in Odessa. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Cathie was born on January 7, 1934 to Woodrow and Alys (Barkley) Jack in Enid, Oklahoma.
She married Ernest Lee Sipe on July 2, 1971 in Odessa and worked as a warranty clerk in the automobile industry. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. She has touched the lives of so many and though she’s gone, her memory will live on in our hearts forever. Her spirit has not left us. Everyone touched by her should have faith that she will be watching over them because that’s just the kind of person she was.

Cathie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a stepson, Freddie Sipe; two sisters; Hazel Crawford and Goldie Welty, two brothers, Tommy Heffron and Don Cash.

She is survived by her son; Darrell Ray Lumry and wife, Jackie, daughter; Sue Lumry Martin and her husband Greg, son; Don Gertz Jr. and his wife Mary Lynn, stepdaughter; Tanya Conn and her husband Michael; brothers, Jaybee Heffron; Ray Heffron and his wife Margaret and Mike Heffron and wife, Susie; grandchildren, Jennifer Wallace and husband Michael; Rebecca Simmons and her husband James; Bryan Martin and his wife Alicia; Shelli Martin; Sandy Gertz; Cathie Gertz; Josh Gertz and wife, Laura; Allen Register and his wife Stacey; Greg Martin Jr.; step-grandchildren, Gary Sipe; Joe Sipe; and Lee Sipe; and 16 great grandchildren and her dear long-time friend, Pam Todd and husband, Jim.

Kelly Sr. Freddy M.

Freddy M. Kelly, 82, of San Angelo, passed October 17, 2014 in San Angelo.

He was born on June 9, 1932 to Joe and Maggie Kelly. He attended Blackshear School and ASU. Freddy worked as a Police Officer for SAPD for 29 years before retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Retired Police Officer’s Association.

On March 8, 1965 he married Bettie Jones. To this union four children were born.

Freddy is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Bettie, sons, Freddy M. Kelly Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO, and Darryl K. Kelly of Los Angeles, CA, daughters, Feleisha M. Kelly, and
Lafonda E. Prophet both of Houston, brothers, Benjamin F. Kelly of San Angelo and James A. Kelly of Inglewood, CA. and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 23, 2014, 10:00 am - 8:00 pm at Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014, 11:00 am at the St. Paul Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jeremy Walker, officiating.

Burial will be in the Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
