Martinez Cresencia “Chris” Banda

Cresencia “Chris” Banda Martinez, 88, of San Angelo passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at a local nursing home.

Rosary will be held at 7pm on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel.
Mass will be held at 10am on Monday, July 14, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Joey Faylona officiating. Burial will be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Chris was born on May 5, 1926 in Somerset, TX to Marciano and Justa Banda. She married Ramon Martinez on November 8, 1950 in Snyder. Ramon passed away on June 18, 2008. Chris worked as a seamstress for Maurice’s and Gabriel’s. Her generosity and devotion to family will be irreplaceable.

She is survived by her son, Mario Martinez and wife Kara of San Angelo; son Ray Martinez, Jr of Monahans; granddaughter Michelle Houk of Mt. Pleasant; grandsons Nicolas Martinez and wife, Kim of Abilene; Marc Martinez and wife Misty of Melbourne, FL; great-granddaughters Mariah Houk, Brittany Houk, Lena Martinez, Allie Martinez and Brodie Martinez along with a great-grandson Nico Martinez.
