DuPuis Charles Thomas

Charles Thomas (Tom) DuPuis, 79, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 14, 2014 in San Angelo.

Tom was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina on September 28, 1934.

In 1945, he joined the U.S. Air Force, where he was an Airmen, First Class, serving as an Air Traffic Controller. After serving with the Air Force, Tom became an Air Traffic Controller for the Federal Aviation Administration. He retired in 2003.

Tom loved to be outdoors. He enjoyed travel, camping, hunting and water sports throughout his life. He was an avid fisherman and greatly enjoyed fishing with his children and grand-children. He had just returned from Port Aransas where he fished offshore with family last weekend.

Tom loved card playing especially poker and black jack. For years, he traveled to Las Vegas to participate in card tournaments.

Tom was a loving and caring husband who met his wife, Sandra Gerber, in San Angelo. They were married January 21, 1990.

Tom is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sandra (Gerber) DuPuis; daughters: Debbie DuPuis Almond of Austin; Linda DuPuis-Rosen of Hayward, California; Bonnie Grubbs of Tyler; Catherine Dowling of Fort Hood; stepson, Perry McClintock of Austin; eight grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and
many close friends.

The family requests that any memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
