Eades Thomas E.

Tommy Eades, 64 of Richardson, went to be with his Lord and Savior and family on Monday, Jan. 19, 2015.
Family visitation is from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 23, 2015 at Johnson's Funeral Home. Graveside service is at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
He was born on Nov. 30, 1950 in San Angelo, Texas to Thomas and Anita Eades. He married the love of his life, Barbara Davis, on Nov. 22, 1975 in San Angelo, Texas. He truly loved what he did for a living, which was driving trucks. He did that for 30 years. Tommy will be remembered as a loving father, caring husband, and wonderful grandfather. For Barbara, he was the man of her dreams and the most wonderful person. Baseball was his favorite sport and his favorite team was the Texas Rangers. He also liked to watch hockey, especially when the Dallas Stars played. He also cherished the times he spent watching wrestling with his granddaughters, Madison and Rachel.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents and numerous aunts and uncles. Survivors include his wife Barbara Eades of Richardson; son Michael Wolf of Kerrville, Texas; daughter Debra Ashley of Richardson, Texas; son Chris Eades of Odessa, Texas; two precious granddaughters, Madison and Rachel Ashley; mother in-law Helen Davis of San Angelo; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and numerous cousins from Texas and Virginia.

Tansil Harry S.

Harry A. Tansil, 85, of San Angelo passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015 in a local hospital.

Funeral services are private. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Harry was born on January 27, 1929 to Harry Sr. and Floy (Darnell) Tansil in Sweetwater. After graduation from high school, he attended Abilene Christian College and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Theology. He married Pat Hall in 1950 in Texas. He worked as a minister for the Church of Christ at several locations. Later he worked for the San Angelo Independent School District. He was a tennis player and coach.

He was preceded by his parents and a sister, Patricia Tansil.

Harry is survived by his wife of 64 years, Pat Tansil of San Angelo; sons, Mark Tansil and his wife Janny of Sebastopol, Ca; Dana Tansil of San Angelo; daughter, Julie Hayes of San Angelo; sister, Estelle Scott in Phoenix, AZ; and grandchildren, Carly Tansil and Shelby Tansil.

Garza Jesus Grimaldo

On Sunday January 18, 2015 Jesus (Chuy) Grimaldo Garza went to be with the lord. He was born on October 19, 1922 in La Maroma Piedras Negras, Mexico.
He is preceded in death by his parents Rafaela and Eugenio Garza, brothers Eugene, Raymond, Albert, and Manuel Garza, and his son Eugene M. Garza. He is survived by his loving wife Consuelo Garza, his sister Mary G. Villarreal, brother Richard Garza, and his children Jesus (Jesse) Garza and wife Elva, Ruben Garza and wife Elizabeth, Ramiro Garza and wife Rita, and Marisella Garza Gutierrez; Grandchildren Richard and Ruben Duane Garza, Ramiro and Jesse Garza, Ana-Alicia Hudgins, Eugene and Jennifer Garza, Maggie Chavarria, and Andrea Pena. He also leaves behind many close friends along with numerous nieces and nephews and several Great Grandchildren. He loved us all in his own personal way.
We celebrate the life and legacy of an amazing man who was very work driven and proud of his Catholic Faith. He came to Texas at the age of 2 and later went on to join the Army and is a WWII Veteran were he was honorably discharged as an MP. He was married to the love of his life Consuelo Martinez for 64 years. He went on to become a man of many trades from Sheep Shearing to becoming a Master Carpenter where he started with Ralph and Charles Ivy. He went on to build many Gulf and EXXON stations all over Texas as well as Today’s convenience stores. He purchased the company which then became Garza Construction with his sons. After his Semi-retirement he worked with Glenn and Molly Poellhemus at the San Angelo Feed Yard in Miles, Texas.
He worked very hard to make a life for his family and to be successful in all that he did. He was very generous, kind and had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved to tell stories of his adventures and could talk for hours. He leaves us with many fond memories, laughs and an emptiness that will be hard to fill. He loved his BINGO in his later years and lived a long and prosperous life. He was blessed by our God, as we were to have him here with us for 92 wonderful, loving and fulfilling years.
Pallbearers will be, Jesus (Jesse) Garza, Eugene Garza IV, Ruben Garza, Ruben Duane Garza, Ramiro Garza, Jesse R. Garza and TJ Pena. Honorary Pallbearers; Richard Garza, Ricardo Garza and Ramiro Garza Jr.
The family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to the all the Doctors and Shannon staff at the ER and on 5N for the care and compassion shown to us and especially our Father.
The Garza Family would also like to acknowledge all the comrades, friends, and all the people that he came in contact with while working in the construction business from Lawyers, Contractors, Builders, Architects’ too numerous to mention. Thank you all for the friendship that everyone showed him He spoke highly of everyone he knew and met and never forgot their names. We are blessed!
Mass of Christian Burial will 10 AM Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Joey Faylona officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Services are with Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Jordan Mary

Frances Jordan was born on July 3, 1926 in El Paso, TX to William Sherman and Alvera Trayler. She went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 18, 2015. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at the funeral home with family present from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00a.m., Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Full Gospel Assembly with burial to follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way.
Frances loved God, her family and her friends. She was a member of Full Gospel Assembly for many years. She was a nurse’s aide at Baptist Memorial for thirty-five years. She also worked private duty with individuals in their homes until she retired.
After her retirement she worked her puzzle books, played Skipbo and Chicken Foot. If you went to visit her you couldn’t leave without playing a game of Chicken Foot. She always had them with her and ready to play.
She married Charles Edward Whitesell on February 27, 1947 until his death May 21, 1971. During this time she was a loving stay at home mom of three sons, Frank Sherman, Charles Edward, Jr. and William Arnel all of San Angelo, TX; three daughters, Donita Donaldson (Charles) of Tribbey, OK, Deana Dodge (David) of Carlsbad, TX and Denise Whitesell (Stuart) of San Angelo, TX; she had twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
She married R.D. Jordan June 16, 1980 in which she shared with him three step daughters, Sharon, Debbie and Susan and acquired numerous grandchildren. He preceded her in death February 3, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Sonny Trayler and William Jack Trayler; sister, Dorothy Mildred Dodson; sons, Frank Sherman Whitesell and Charles Edward Whitesell; two grandsons, William and Bailey Whitesell.
Survivors include her sister, Rena LaNelle Johnson of Deming, N.M.; her three daughters; one son; her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great granddaughter; nieces and nephews, too many to count; her three step daughters and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren from her marriage to R.D. She will be missed by all her family and friends.

Ninfa Garcia, 93, of San Angelo passed away on January 18, 2015.
She was born October 21, 1921 in Taylor, Texas.
She married the late Fred Velasquez Garcia on January 6, 1947 in Rowena, TX. She was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Ninfa loved to sew and that is what she did throughout her life until she became very ill.

Ninfa is preceded in death by her parents, Margarito Albarado and Elidia Carmona Albarado; her husband, Fred V. Garcia; four brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include one son, Gilbert Garcia and a special daughter-in-law, Ramona Garcia, both of San Angelo; four granddaughters, Elizabeth Pina and partner Ruben Ortiz, Leticia Hernandez and partner Miguel Martinez, Corina Garcia and husband Magdaleno Suniga and Laura Garcia and spouse Israel Reyes. Other surivors include grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Julia Cortez of San Angelo and Maria Flores of Menard, TX. Pallbearers will be Felix Antonio Pina, Mario Hernandez Jr., Gibby Reyes, Fred Garcia and her two gransons-in-law Israel Reyes and Magdaleno Suniga.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 22, from 1:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/Knickerbocker. A Prayer Service will take place at 7:00 P.M. A Chapel Service is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 23, 2015, with the Rev. Fr. Fabian Villalobos officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Luna Aurora Buddy

Aurora (Buddy) Luna passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015 in a local nursing facility.
She was born February 20, 1932. She is preceded in death by her husband Manuel B. Luna Sr.
Survivors include her son and two daughters, Manuel B. Luna Jr., Diana Gonzales and Norma Ross. Other survivors include seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Fr. Joey Faylona, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to the Gutierrez family and Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North.

Frances Inez Poteet, 99, of Big Lake, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015, in Bryan, Texas.

Frances was born March 29, 1915 in Del Rio, Texas to Walter and Effie Green. She married Ernest Poteet on February 2, 1935 in Ozona, Texas. Frances and Ernest owned Poteet Motor Company in Big Lake for many years, and later Frances worked for Turner Brothers and at the Courthouse in Big Lake.
Frances moved to Bryan, Texas to be near her son Stanley Poteet, and was in the Sherwood Nursing Home at the time of her death.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son, Joe Poteet, and sisters, Iris Crane and Irene O'Bryant.

She is survived by her son, Stanley Poteet; grandson, Mark Poteet; granddaughter, Teri Bolin; great grandsons, Cory and Alec Bolin; and sister, Bernice Ellwanger.

Visitation will be 6:00–7:00 PM Monday at Johnson's Funeral Home.

Graveside Services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at Glen Rest Cemetery in Big Lake under the direction of Johnson's Funeral Home.

Ramirez Arturo H.

Arturo H. Ramirez, 80, of San Angelo passed away peacefully on Friday, January 16, 2015 in San Angelo. Arturo was born on May 8, 1934 in Del Rio, Texas to Aurelio and Florina Hinojosa Ramirez. He grew up in Del Rio and graduated from San Felipe High School in May 1951.
After high school he enlisted in the Air Force and served his country honorably in sites all over the world. Finally, settling in San Angelo in 1972. He married Maria Estella Rizo on January 1, 1956. They had five children and shared 49 years together before her passing.
Arturo was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maria; his daughter, Sylvia E. Ramirez Burns; his brother, Alfonso Ramirez; his brother-in-law, Richard Hernandez; and great grandson, Christopher Hogeda. He is survived by his children, Arturo Ramirez, Jr. and wife Margie, Michael C. Ramirez, Jerry D. Ramirez and wife Kathy, Sabrina Martinez and husband Gabriel, all of San Angelo. He is also survived by his brothers, Abelardo Ramirez and wife Anna, Albert Ramirez and wife Diane, Aurelio Ramirez and wife Concha, his sisters, Alicia Hernandez and Angie Zuniga and husband Frank, his grandchildren, Evaughn, Connie, Christal, Margret, Kayla, Klorissa, Michael Jr., Kade, Jerry Jr., Jason, Tyler, and Gabby, along with 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him!
Family visitation is from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Funeral service is at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Landon Henry officiating. Interment will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers for the service will be Jerry Ramirez, Jr., Eddie Loehman, Johnny Lane, Mike Wolsfeld, Michael Ramirez Jr. and Kelly Cothran.
