Alton "Curtis" Trowbridge, 90, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 following a short illness.
He was born March 6, 1925 to the late E. E. and Steva Mae Trowbridge. Curtis attended Richland Springs High School and Howard Payne College. Curtis was an ordained minister and served as the Pastor at Jones Chapel Baptist Church in Brownwood during the early fifties and at Sherwood Baptist Church in Sherwood, in the late fifties. In 1953, the family moved to San Angelo where Curtis helped reroof Lake View High School following the tornado. He worked for Coca Cola Bottling Co., Sears, Terrell Manufacturing, and San Angelo State School, retiring in 1988.
In 1947, Curtis married Vera Mae Gentry, the love of his life. They spent many years traveling, even taking several mission trips to help in foreign countries. They called Grape Creek home for 53 years and he was a faithful member of Grape Creek Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
Curtis is survived by his daughter Carolyn and husband Ray Delone; son Alton and wife Rulea; and son Harlon and wife Danna. He is also survived by his brother L.C. and wife Ruth; brother R.D.; brother E. E. (Bo) and wife Dorothy; sister Dorothy (Dot) Walden; brother Joe and wife Mary; and sister in law Inez Groff. He was called Grandpa by 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Vera Mae.
Service is at 2:00 p.m. at Grape Creek Baptist Church, on Saturday October 10, 2015 with Rev. Brad Winchester officiating. Interment will follow in Grape Creek Cemetery. Arrangements are by Johnson's Funeral Home.

Mary Lee Runion, 93, of Big Lake, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 7, 2015.
Visitation will be held 6:00-9:00 PM Friday at Bethel Baptist Church, 906 E. 12th Street, in Big Lake. A celebration of Mary's life will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 10, 2015, at Bethel Baptist Church in Big Lake with burial following at Glen Rest Cemetery, under the directions of Johnson's Funeral Home.
Mary was born February 9, 1922 in Burnet County, Texas, to Joseph P. and Emma A. Fagan May. She was preceded in death by her husband, O.W. (Buster) Runion and her brothers, Morris May and L.C. May.
Mary is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many, many close friends.

LeRoy Olsak, 92, passed away peacefully in a local nursing home on Monday, October 05, 2015. Born in Runnels County March 24, 1923, he was the first born son of Rudolph R. and Clara Kohutek Olsak.
While he was still young, LeRoy's family moved to the Lipan Flats farming community where he grew up on present day Olsak Road. After graduating from San Angelo High School in 1940 and attending San Angelo College, he transferred to Texas Technological College. His education was interrupted by World War II when he was deployed as a B-24 combat pilot for the Red Raider Bomber Group in the Asian theater. Upon return from the service, he married the true love of his life, Claire "Sally" Johnson, on Jan 14, 1946 in the B.O. & Elizabeth Wood Presbyterian Manse. He also returned to continue his education and graduated from Texas Tech with a BS in Agriculture in 1947.
From there, LeRoy started a long and prosperous career as a manager with Texas Electric Service Company, first in Big Spring and later in Lamesa. About 40 years and many accolades later, LeRoy retired and turned his interests to the Olsak Pecan Orchard he planted in the 70's on family land at Eldorado, Texas. The pecan orchard eventually gained the ranking as one of the best in the state often producing state champion pecans.
LeRoy and Sally participated in life together through church, civic organizations, Colorado fishing trips and orchard tending. When Sally became ill with cancer, LeRoy was her devoted companion and caretaker as she was the light of his life. After Sally passed away in 2005, LeRoy continued life to the fullest by keeping his involvement with First Presbyterian Church, Angelo State University, Texas Tech, Texas Pecan Growers Association, Rotary Club, Red Raider Bomber Veterans and Old Geezers Walking Club. His awards and commendations from various groups are numerous and impressive and reflect the level of commitment he gave to each entity.
Without children, LeRoy claimed many nieces and nephews as his extended family just the same way he and Sally always had. LeRoy is survived by his sister-in-law Bettie Olsak and his brother-in-law Larry Johnson & wife Joy all of San Angelo. Nieces Cindy Hanks, Stephanie Sayers & husband Chip of San Angelo, Connie Langlais & husband Dave of Keller, Christy Meador & husband Lynn of Eldorado, and Olga Sosa of San Angelo. Nephews Mike Moore & wife Becky of Eldorado, David Johnson & wife Cheryl of Arkansas & Clark Johnson of Guadalajara, Mexico. Also surviving are numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. An acknowledgement is given to special people in his life, Ester Flores, Abel Martinez, and Kay Braden.
Family visitation will be from 6 pm to 8 pm Wednesday October 7, 2015 at Johnson's Funeral Home. After private interment, a memorial service will be at 2 PM Thursday, October 8, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev Bill Procter officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow in the Commons at the Church. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Marie Henson, 95 of San Angelo passed away Saturday October 3, 2015 at a local care center.
Viewing will be 10am to 8pm Tuesday October 6, 2015 at Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 2pm Wednesday October 7, 2015 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Rev. James Hassell, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Marie was born September 25, 1920 in San Angelo to Wayne and Minta (Drennan) Philips. She graduated from San Angelo Jr. College and worked at Talley Press for over 40 years. On September 30, 1950, she married John Henson. Marie was a devoted wife of a military veteran, loving mother, best friend and never met a stranger.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
She is survived by her son, Jeffery Henson of San Angelo and several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

Rogelio “Andy” Luna, 57, of San Angelo passed away on Sunday, October 04, 2015 at a local nursing home.

Memorial service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, October 9, 2015 at the New Life Fellowship of Hobbs, NM with Pastor Millie Miller officiating. Arrangements by Robert Massie Funeral Home, San Angelo, TX.

Andy was born on January 17, 1958 in Hobbs, NM to Jorge and Hermila Ramon Luna.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Arthur Luna.

He is survived by daughter Sadie Rae Luna of San Angelo, sons Efren Rey Luna of San Angelo, Sylvester Francisco Luna of Lubbock, and Zachary Ryan Luna of Florida, sisters Maria Gurele, Elvia Lopez, Amanda White, and Melva Luna, and brothers George Luna of Hobbs, NM and Mario Reynosa of San Angelo; grandchildren, Desiray Luna, Daniel Selbera, DeMario Moya, Hopper Luna, Whitt Luna, Sierra Luna, Aliaha Luna, Mariah Luna and Shania Luna.

Andy was a loving father, brother and friend. He will be deeply missed by those whose lives he has touched.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Corina Pena for all the tender care and help provided to Andy and the family during the time of his illness.

Frances Joiner Bradley Harrison, 86, passed away Sunday at her home after an illness.

Family visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Burial will follow in Paint Rock Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

She was born December 10, 1928 in Paint Rock, TX on the Smith Ranch to William Grundy and Florence Joiner. She married Woodrow Harold Bradley in 1948. They had two sons, Harold Paul and Bruce Bradley. This marriage ended with Woodrow Harold’s passing in 1980. She remarried to Harold Harrison. Frances retired from Ethicon after marrying Harold as they were going to travel but he passed in 1989.

Frances came from a large family – she had 7 brothers and 7 sisters! She was number 13 and always thought that was her lucky number. Family was very important to her. She spent her life taking care of all of them. She thought you were either hungry, or thirsty when you came to visit. She had to feed you and she even tried to feed the Hospice nurses. She always said she wasn’t a good cook but she served a fine table!

Frances was a hard working woman, and had many different jobs throughout her life. She cherished her time at Ethicon most of all.

Frances was preceded in death by both of her husbands, her daughter in law Cheryl Bradley, and all of her siblings.

Frances is survived by her sons, Paul Bradley & wife Lita, and Bruce Bradley. Six grandchildren: William Bradley, Paula Bradley & Randy Dunlap, Brandon Davis, Jennifer Davis, Charles Bradley & wife Brittany, and Shanda Henderson. Eight great grandchildren: James Bradley, Deven Bradley, Sterling Bradley, Calista Davis, Aric Bradley, Nicole Bradley, Kimber Bradley, Zachery Henderson, and Alexis Henderson.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
