Pauline Greer

Pauline Clark Greer, 88, of San Angelo, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 10, 2014.
She was born June 18, 1926 in Paris, TX, to Henry Virgil Clark and Lillie Tennessee (Dunn) Clark. She had three brothers and two sisters.
She married Robert Morris Greer in 1946. They were blessed with four children.
She never met a stranger. She loved people and especially loved to cook for family and friends. There was always a story to be shared over her homemade pie and always ended with her asking if she could pray for whoever was there. She was a charter member of Parkside Community Church and faithfully enjoyed attending and spending the summers at church camp.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, L.N. Clark; a sister, Anna Thorp; grandson, Casey Babitzke and great-grandaughter, Kinley Earnshaw.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert M. Greer; Sister, Ruby Zoellner of San Angelo; brothers, H.V. Clark of Odessa and Bill Clark and wife Kayron of San Angelo; daughter Linda Babitzke and husband Dennis of San Angelo, son Steve Greer of Odessa, daughter Sue Burleson and husband Bill of Odessa, son Mark Greer of San Angelo; grandchildren Michael Greer, David Greer, Linsey Simmons and husband SirRon, Brian Burleson and wife Jenny, Karla Earnshaw and husband Jeff, Troy Burleson and wife Brittney; great-grandchildren, Jayce, Kimbrey and Jaren Earnshaw, Marlee Simmons, Miles Mancha; numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Senior Care, Gentiva Hospice, Dr. Chitwood, the church family of Parkside Community and Charles and Shirley Smith.
Family will receive friends for the visitation 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, December 12, 2014, at Johnson's Funeral Home. A Celebration of Pauline's Life will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Park.

Henderson, Jr. Richard S.

Gone but never forgotten. God called home our beloved
Richard on Dec. 8, 2014. He was born to Richard S. and Margie Henderson on Nov. 28, 1948 in Spur. Richard loved family and friends. He always had a smile on his face and a funny word or two. Those left to cherish his memories include his wife: Teresa Henderson, a son; Jeffery Henderson(Genevieve), three daughters; Kim Fields(Corey), Erica Laird (Norman), Samantha Henderson, step daughter; Brittney Hannah, brother; Jackie Henderson (Gwen), and two sisters; Babs Jarmon (Raymond),and Pennie Henderson, four grandchildren, and very special aunts; Beatrice Riles, and Odessa Williams and a very special friend, Renee McKnight as well other family and friends.

Jose Luis Sanchez Lopez, 63, of Bronte, passed away on December 8, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Viewing will be 10am to 8pm on Wednesday December 10, 2014 and 8am to 8pm on Thursday December 11, 2014 at Robert Massie Funeral Home, San Angelo, Texas.

Funeral services will be held on 2pm Friday, December 12, 2014 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel, with Evaristo Granado, pastor of Roscoe Worship Center, officiating. Burial will take place in the Blackwell Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

He was born on November 24, 1951 to Refugio and Rosalia (Lopez) Sanchez in Mexico. Jose was self employed in fencing and ranching. On December 2, 1979 he married Armandina Rios in Cd. Acuna, Mexico. Jose and Armandina lived in Bronte, Texas. He loved his animals, horseback riding, gardening, music and working on his ranch. He especially loved the time he was able to spend with his grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be sons and sons in law.

He was preceded in death by mother, Rosalia Lopez, father, Refugio Sanchez, son, Jose Luis Sanchez Jr., five sisters, and two brothers.

Jose is survived by his loving spouse of 35 years Armandina, two daughters, Nancy Sanchez and husband, Alex Garcia, Rosalia Sanchez and husband, Eugene Lopez all of Roscoe, TX; three sons, Jesse and wife, Gracie Sanchez of Laredo, TX, Daniel Sanchez and partner Michael Dungan of San Angelo, TX, Salvador Sanchez of Bronte, TX; brother, Juan Manuel Sanchez Lopez of Mexico.

Our family wants to extend a special thank you to the Dr.’s, nurses and staff at Gentiva Hospice for the loving care during our time with them.

Allen Aaron James

Aaron James Allen departed this life on December 7, 2014. He was born March 21, 1994 in San Angelo, Texas. Aaron graduated from Lake View High School in 2013 and he was a member of Solid Rock church. He was full of life and had an amazing ability to make people laugh. He truly believed "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Phil 4:13

Survivors include his mother, Ruth Ruiz; his father, James Slaughter; his paternal grandmother, Emma Allen; 3 aunts – Lupe Ford of Pine Bush, NY, Olivia Aguirre and husband Larry, and Susan Cummings all of San Angelo; 3 uncles – Celestino Ruiz, Jr of San Angelo and Samuel Ruiz and wife Susan of Brownwood, and Daniel Ramirez of San Angelo; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Celestino Ruiz and Elodia Ruiz; his aunt Yolanda Ramirez; and 3 cousins.

While at Lake View, Aaron was a star athlete in power lifting, football and track. He was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and made the FCA All-Star team in 2013. Aaron was crowned Homecoming King his senior year at Lake View. He had a passion for power lifting and had several record breaking lifts, including a 615 pound lift to set a state record in 2010.

Aaron was currently a sophomore at Angelo State University majoring in nursing. He was employed at Chili's Restaurant.

Hortencia Montalvo, 94, passed away Monday, December 8, 2014. She was born May 26, 1920, in Zaragoza, Coahuila, Mexico, to Martiniano Villarreal and Tomasa Rios de Villarreal.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Rosa Fernandez, and 3 granddaughters, Belia Vasquez (husband Osvaldo), Crystal Fernandez, and Ashlee Fernandez.
A Holy Rosary will be recited Friday, December 12, at 7:00 P.M. by Deacon Abel Fernandez and a Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, December 13, at 11:00 A.M. at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North.

Warren Allan Cornelius

Warren Allan Cornelius passed away on December 6, 2014 at a local nursing home with his wife at his side. Allan was born on February 2, 1928 and was 86 years old.

Allan farmed in the Miles, Texas area for many years and also served on the local school board. In later years, Allan started a locksmith business in San Angelo, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Leona Cornelius, who also farmed at Miles.

Allan attended school at the Klattenhoff School. He married Jewel Cornelius (nee McKee) on August 5, 1949 at the Methodist Parsonage in Miles. Allan was a member of the College
Hills Baptist Church in San Angelo.

Allan is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jewel Cornelius, son, Wayne Cornelius of Seminole, Texas, daughter, Rita Hayes of Carrollton, Texas, grandson Wes Hayes and wife April and two granddaughters of Boerne, Texas, a sister, Erlene Springer of San Angelo, Texas and a half -brother Lynn Cornelius and his wife Karen of Deer Park, Texas.

Funeral arrangement made by Johnson's Funeral Home in San Angelo. A graveside service will be held at Miles Cemetery on Tuesday, December 9th at 2 pm.

Laurene Goetz, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away Friday December 5, 2014. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday December 9, 2014 from 6-8 P.M. at Johnson's Funeral Home. The Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Randall Wehmeyer officiating. Interment will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Laurene was born September 13, 1927 to Isabella and Willie Fischer. She married Arthur W. Goetz December 1, 1945 in Ballinger, Texas. Laurene was a loving homemaker until her husband passed away in 1982. Laurene started working for Kmart and remained a faithful employee throughout Kmart's transitions until her retirement in January 1993. Laurene was preceded in death by her parents, Isabella and Willie Fischer, her husband Arthur W. Goetz; brothers, Roy and Alton Fischer; sisters, Venita Bagwell, Magdalene "Mickey" Harris and Agnes Parker. She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter Marylyn Smith and her husband David Smith; sons Danny Goetz, Arthur "Art" Goetz and his wife Gerri, Kerry Goetz and his wife Gail, all of San Angelo, Texas and Timothy "Tim" Goetz and his wife Dalana of Simithville, Texas; sisters, Mary Frances Williams and her husband Garland of Snyder, Texas, Lucille Romfeld and her husband Dennis of Ballinger, Texas, Willia Mae Briley and her husband W.C. of San Angelo; brother Willie "Buddy" Fischer of San Angelo; grandchildren, Paul Tonne Jr. and his wife Allison, Melissa Durst, Todd Smith and his wife Misty, Chad Goetz, Travis Goetz all of San Angelo and Ashley Kolfage and her husband Brian of Tucson, Arizona, Justin Goetz of Bastrop, Correy Goetz of Los Angeles, California, Whitney Berber and her husband Hardy of San Angelo; eleven great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
