Johnson Allen Richard

Allen Richard Johnson passed away peacefully and was received by his lord and savior on Jan. 22, 2015, surrounded by his family and friends.

Allen was born July 11, 1931, in Springfield, Missouri, to Herbert and Nettie Johnson. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1949. Shortly after graduating high school Allen enlisted with the United States Air Force and married Betty Lou Lowe after completing basic training. They traveled the world together and eventually made San Angelo their home.

Allen retired as a senior master sergeant after 24 years of service and along with his wife opened Johnson's Photo Center. Allen and Betty also volunteered at the Historic Santa Fe Depot which he helped create and served as director. Allen's love of history preservation, photography and railroads can be seen in his collections donated to the railway Museum of San Angelo and Pocahontas, Arkansas, where he was awarded the key to the city.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Betty Johnson; and his brothers, Gene and Arthur.

He is survived by his sister, Nadine Johnson of San Angelo; and his four children, Rick Johnson of Arlington, Nicky Johnson of San Angelo, Connie Bradford of Euless and Linda Johnson of San Angelo. He also was an amazing grandfather to eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank his wonderful friends that have helped him over the years and his ""girls"" that he loved to visit at First Community Federal Credit Union at Goodfellow Air Force Base.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Interim Hospice of San Angelo and to the Railway Museum of San Angelo.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.

Sauceda Domingo R.

Domingo “Mingo Lighta” Sauceda, 67, of San Angelo, TX, passed away at his residence on Friday, January 23, 2015. He was born February 16, 1947, in Bakersfield, CA, but happily resided in San Angelo, TX, for the past 40+ years. He was a retired sheep shearer.

Family visitation will be from 5pm-7pm on Monday, January 26, 2015. A celebration of life service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, January 27, 2015; both will take place at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels, 1002 N. Oakes St., San Angelo, TX.

Domingo was a caring son, brother, uncle, father & grandfather. He was also an exceptional domino player. He enjoyed telling jokes, making people laugh, fishing, football, and listening to music.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rocendo G. Sauceda & Luisa R. Sauceda, and brother, Adolfo R. Sauceda.

Survivors include his 2 daughters, Sharon & her husband Sergio Miguel Meza, Elsa & her husband Sergio Tobias, both of Fort Worth, TX; 2 brothers, S.R. Sauceda & his wife Corina of Ballinger, TX and Greg R. Sauceda & his wife, Linda of Denton, TX; 1 sister, Petra R. Sauceda of Ballinger, TX; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous loving nieces & nephews.

Bailey II Garland Gary Wayne

Garland (Gary) W. Bailey II, 47, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015, in Dallas. Visitation will be Sunday, January 25, 2015, at Johnson's Funeral Home, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Graveside service will be held on Monday, January 26, 2015, at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens, at 2:00 p.m.
Gary was born January 28, 1967, to Gary Bailey and Mary (Bailey) Rutledge in San Angelo, Texas. Gary was preceded in death by his father, stepfather and grandparents.
He is survived by his son, Bo Bailey, his daughter, Heather Bailey, the mother of his children, Michele Bailey, his mother, Mary Rutledge, his stepmother, Barbara Bailey, his stepsister, Kim Franks, his nephews, Wade Wilcox and Ryan Wilcox, his uncles, John Rutledge (Ginny), Tim Rutledge (Bonnie), Jeff Rutledge, and Mike Rutledge (Donna); family friends, David Russell (Debbie) and longtime girlfriend, Leo Bennich.
Although he was born in San Angelo, he grew up in Dallas. He attended Richardson High School and Blinn Junior College in Bryan.
Gary was loved by all who knew him. His generosity was well-known to his friends, as well as to those less fortunate. Never one to sit in any one place for long, he loved being a coast-to-coast truck driver. He was a perfectionist about his work in the moving business, as well as about his beautiful 18-wheeler. He lived life to the fullest. He loved to laugh and have fun, and often went on cruises with his friends.
His passing was completely unexpected, and has left a void in the hearts of all who loved him that will never be filled. We commit you into the arms of the Lord, our beloved Gary, with our love, respect and honor for the man that you were.

Maria "Mary" Sanchez, 80 , died January 21, 2015 . Visitation will be held all day Friday, January 23, 2015 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Bronte with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Shaffer Funeral Home.
She is survived by her children Willie Sanchez, George Sanchez, Jimmy Sanchez, Nora Teel, Rosemary Sanchez, Carolina Garza, Clara Rios, Andrea Sanchez and Beth Sanchez.

Letha Reed Key, 97, passed away January 21, 2015 in San Angelo. Visitation will be Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Shaffer Funeral Home/ Sherwood Way, from 4 to 6pm. Funeral Services will be Monday, Jan 26, 10am at Shaffer Funeral Home’s Sherwood way Chapel. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way.
Letha (Kriege) was born Dec 14, 1917. Letha married John Reed, November 23, 1935. This union produced 4 children. They moved to San Angelo in 1954. They owned and operated Reed Service Stations and Reed Tire and Appliance. They belonged to San Angelo Saddle Club, Good Sam’s Camping Club and Letha belonged to Desk and Derrick. After John’s death (1974), she married Dewey Key (1980). Dewey passed away in 1998.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and embroidery. Letha was a seamstress and avid quilter. She and her mother made more than 50 quilts and many afghans that are enjoyed by family.
Survivors include daughters, Rosalie (Harold) Jameson, Berryton, Ks, Norma (George) St Clair, Amarillo, TX, Carol (Willie) Wilson, San Angelo, son, John Reed Jr, San Angelo, step-daughter Tammy (Steve) Plowman, 13 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

Moseley Joe

Joe Moseley, 68, of San Angelo, passed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. Private burial was held in the Robert Lee Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Grape Creek.
He was born on June 27, 1946 to Odie Moseley and Ila Goehring Moseley in San Angelo. He married the love of his life, Gayle Lewis, on July 26, 1974.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Johnny & Jerry Moseley.
He is survived by his wife Gayle, daughter Dawn Hicks and husband Mark, son Chad Moseley and wife Carey, grandchildren Niko and Brody Hicks, Benjamin Moseley and Kjerstin Seyfried, and his sister Carolyn Guinn.
The family will be receiving friends on Sunday afternoon, January 25th at 7661 N. Copper Mountain Circle in Grape Creek, Texas.

Graciela (Grace) Lopez, 83, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015, in San Angelo. He was born July 18, 1931, in Floresville, Texas, to Abelino San Miguel and Juanita Reyes.

Grace is survived by her daughter, Nora Gonzales; brother, Abelino San Miguel, Jr.; 2 step-sons, Joe and Fidencio Lopez; a step-daughter, Refugia Guajardo. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 21, from 3:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/Knickerbocker. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/Knickerbocker, 1102 Knickerbocker Rd., San Angelo, Texas, 76903, (325) 653-5995.

Hemphill Estil

Estil Elvin Hemphill, 91, of Robert Lee passed away on January 18, 2015.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at the Robert Lee Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Paint Creek Cemetery.
Estil was born March 28, 1923 to Elvin and Verna Hemphill in Arnett, Texas. He was raised and lived in Gatesville until going in to the Army in WWII. Serving in the Persian Gulf Command, he returned to Gatesville after discharge. Estil married Olene Sparks on June 8, 1946 in Gatesville. They moved to Sweetwater and San Angelo before settling in Odessa in 1952, where he worked in construction and in a lumber yard for most of his life. They moved to Robert Lee six years ago and is a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Robert Lee.
Estil is survived by his beloved wife, Olene Hemphill; a daughter, Patty Moseley and husband, Dale of Odessa; two brothers, Murvil Hemphill of Gatesville and Wayne Hemphill of West Virginia; and a number of nieces and nephews.
