Rosa Flores Lopez

Rosa Flores Lopez, 94, passed away at home Wednesday, February 25, 2015, in Houston, Texas, with her family at her side. She was born January 22, 1921, in Goldthwaite, Texas, to Juan and Juanita Flores.

In 1946, she married Frank Lopez and had two daughters, Mary Lena and Rosie. Later they adopted a son, Jeffery. Following Frank's death in 1968, she earned money helping others with laundry, cleaning, and ironing so she could support her children. Rosa was loved by numerous family and friends.

Rosa was a parishoner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in San Angelo and at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Houston. In 2010, she moved to Houston to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Pat Tirres.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Lopez; her daughter, Rosa Lopez Almaguer; her son, Jeff Lopez; sisters, Manuela, Ruby, twin sister Carmen, Louisa, Mary Lena, Okey; and one brother, John Flores. 

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Pat Tirres; sisters, Elisa and Ramona Flores; her grandchildren, Margie and Steve Witt, Kristy and Matt Hyatt, Pat Tirres IV, Mike and Jayme Tirres; her 12 great-grandchildren include: Jonathan, Michael and Sara Drevecky, Brittany and Justin Witt, Travis, Emily and Austin Hyatt, Gracie Tirres, Luke, Karley and Bella Tirres.

Visitation will take place from 3:00 to 9:00 P.M. Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North, 1002 N. Oakes St., San Angelo, TX, 76903. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00P.M. that evening at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 2, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church located at 301 17th St., San Angelo, TX, 76903, with Fr. Inocent Eliefule officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers are: Johnny Lopez, Patrick Tirres IV, Michael Tirres, Jonathan Drevecky, Michael Drevecky, and Travis Hyatt

Miller Ida Kathryn (Spurgeon)

Ida Kathryn (Spurgeon) Miller, 88, went to be with her God and her beloved husband Walter on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015.
Funeral Mass will be at 12 noon on Wednesday, Feb. 25th at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Fr. Charles Greenwell officiating. Additional services and burial will be in Dayton, Ohio. Arrangements here in Texas are by Johnson's Funeral Home.
Kathryn was born February 27, 1926 to Noah Wilson Spurgeon and Rosa Kathryn Scott in West Union, Ohio. She attended Port William School from 1st to 12th grades, graduating in 1944. She then attended Springfield Hospital School of Nursing, simultaneously attending Cadet Nurse Corps training, graduating in September of 1947. She was a licensed Registered Nurse for 52 years providing patient care to hundreds of veterans, adult patients, and special care infants until 2000, when she retired. Mrs. Miller, as she was known to all at 'her hospital', Good Samaritan, in Dayton, Ohio, continued to volunteer amassing over 15,000 hours and receiving the "Spirit of Volunteerism" award in 2010.
She was preceded in death by her parents, all her brothers and sisters, and the love of her life, her husband, Walter Guy Miller, Jr.
Kathryn is survived by her son, John Joachim Miller and Linda Jessie; his daughters, Julie Marie Miller and Autumn Dae Miller, and her daughters, Freda Binder, Amanda Hyatt, and Kayla Fryer. Kathryn is survived by her daughter, Anne Alexis (Miller) Reeb and her sons William Guy Reeb, with his wife Jennifer, son Walter and daughter Juliet; and Alex Michael Reeb with his wife Meredith, and sons Jeremiah and Elijah. Aunt Katie is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and their children and grandchildren.
She was loved by all who knew her: she was indeed a pearl of great price.
Memorial donations may be made to the Samaritan Foundation of Dayton.

Livrada (Libby) Garcia Robledo

Livrada (Libby) Robledo, age 71, was born November 26, 1943, in Del Rio, TX, and was called by the Lord on Thursday, February 19, 2015.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Toribio and Juanita Robledo. She is survived by a daughter, Siria Corley of Tampa, FL; three sons, Rey Robledo of Lubbock, TX, Albert Robledo of NM, and Gilbert Robledo; two brothers, Henry Robledo of Austin, TX, and Roy Robledo of San Angelo; she is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, February 27, 2015, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

"Rise up in splendor! Your Light has come, the glory of the Lord shines upon you. The Lord shall be your Light forever."

Genoveva Falcon Arredondo, 70, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, February 22, 2015. Private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way.
Genoveva was born on January 16, 1945 in Ciudad Acuña Coahuila Mexico to Antonio Juarez Falcon and Acencion C. Falcon.
She was the oldest of ten children, five sisters and four brothers. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
Genoveva is survived by her husband of twenty-nine years, Toribio Gomez Arredondo; children, Samuel Silva, Maria Luisa Hernandez, Belen Hernandez, Rosemary Arredondo, Toribio Arredondo Jr. and April Moore; fifteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” - Matthew 11:28.

Flores Everardo Rangel

Everardo "Lalo" Rangel Flores, 77 of San Angelo, passed away on February 21, 2015 in a local care center. Visitation will be 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Chaplin Domingo Lopez officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Services are with Robert Massie Funeral Home.

He was born on March 25, 1937 to Andrea Rangel Reyna and Jose Ortiz Flores in Rodriguez, Mexico. On July 7, 1959 he married Margaret Garza in Holland, Michigan. Everardo was a deacon at the Primera Iglesia Bautista in Hereford for many years. He loved entertaining people with his musical talents on the harmonica. Everardo enjoyed visiting and reminiscing stories with his family and friends.

Everardo is survived by his loving spouse of 55 years Margaret Flores, daughters, Leslie Thompson and husband Randy, Frances Cano and husband Noel, Norma Flores and husband Robert, sons, Edward Flores and Juan Flores and Jennie all of San Angelo, brothers Pedro Flores of La Frontera and Juan Rangel of Edinburg, 16 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Juan Flores, Edward Flores, Robert Flores, Noel Cano, Randy Thompson, Ringo Cano, Derek Medina, and Noel I. Cano and honorary pallbearers being Gilbert Armendarez Jr., Blake Flores, and Ricco Flores.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staffs of Regency House and Gentiva Hospice for their care during Everardo's illness.
