Mom was born to Francisco and Augustina Robles November 17, 1929. Mom had many adventures as a little girl, one to include holding a flashlight with her older brother Manual as a makeshift headlight for grandpa’s old truck on an old farm road. As her children, we remember her love of music and dance, she always had music playing while she cooked all the while whistling. She had a gift of sewing clothes and made beautiful gowns for her daughters. She was a homemaker until her children were all in school then she worked at RG Barry’s where she retired to then become a caregiver to her grandchildren who adore her.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so HE put HIS arms around you and whispered, “Come with me.” With tearful eyes, we watched you suffer and saw you fade away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

Gloria, for the last few years you have been our parents, best nurse, handy-person and caregiver, we thank you so much for all you did, Sam we thank you for being such an understanding husband as she took care of Mom.

Bobby L. Dear Jr.

11/30/2016 - 22:46 , by johnb

Bobby Lynn Dear, Jr., 46, of San Angelo, went home to the Lord on November 26, 2016. He was born in Midland, TX on December 7, 1969. Bobby was a beloved son, a loving father, the “funny” uncle, a caring brother and cousin, and a best friend to many.

Left behind to forever cherish his memory are his parents, Eric and Reba Chunn; his father, Bob Dear, Sr.; a sister and brother-in-law, Kevin and Marcy Dickson; a much loved, strong-willed, wonderful son, Skyler Williamson-Dear; a caring nephew, Preston Dickson; a beautiful niece, Morgan Dickson; and two equally strong-willed, loving step-sons, Seth and Zane Williamson.

Bobby was a long time cancer survivor who endured the pain of childhood cancer to become a stronger and more caring man. He shared his journey with other cancer patients helping them overcome their own fears and doubts over the years.

Bobby loved to laugh and had a beautiful smile, a generous spirit, and a giving heart. He was always quick to help, easy to talk to, and the first to forgive. Bobby bought many a meal, fixed hundreds of flats, and tuned tons of tired engines expecting nothing in return: Just “because they needed it”.

He leaves us all with a “Bobby-sized” hole in our lives: Never to be forgotten and never to be replaced.

The pain and sadness we feel today will finally fade away and we will remember only the joy he brought into our lives, his shining example of a loving, Christian man, and the sense of joy, light, and wonder he left behind.

Bobby will have a Visitation at Harper Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016 in the Harper Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
