Jackie was born on February 5, 1953, in San Angelo, Texas to Armond and Leona Keeling. Jackie worked many years in sales at companies such as Budweiser, AmeriPride Linen & Apparel Services and Decoty Coffee.

Anyone who knew Jackie knew how hard of a worker he was and always had a smile on his face while out on his route. He met many people through his routes as a salesman and manager and cherished those friendships made along the way.

Jackie loved to stay active and had a passion for golfing. He found it therapeutic and relaxing. He also loved going to the beach, collecting seashells and making memories with family. Jackie married the love of his life Karen Sue Perkins Keeling on his birthday February 5, 1977, in San Angelo, Texas. They enjoyed many years filled with love, traveling, raising children and making memories with their grandchildren. They were married for 36 years till his beautiful wife passed on December 13, 2013. Kenneth Dickson

12/05/2022 - 06:49 , by TKing09

Kenneth Dickson, 86, of Miles, Texas laid down his working tools and was called home on November 29,2022.

Born in Hamlin, Texas on June 16, 1936, Kenneth was a loving father, devoted husband, and faithful friend to those who knew him. Since he never met a stranger, you could say he was a friend to all.

After many years with the Tom Green County Road & Bridge Department, he retired but never stopped working. Instead, you would find him at the lodge, at the church, mowing lawns, or watching westerns in his favorite chair.

These last years, he may have lost a step, but not his spirit, his strength, and not his smile. His walk was slowed, but his mind remained sharp and he was happy to share his wit, wisdom, and memories.

Kenneth loved life, loved God, and loved fishing. He could spin a story with the best of them. His favorite fragrance was that of a new Chevy truck, and he was rarely without his spit cup. We wish we had more time to listen to those stories.

He loved his church family as well as that of his lodge. He was deacon of Eola Baptist Church and steadfast in his service to the Lord and his community.

He was awarded his 25 year achievement with the Masons this past March and was an active Master Mason with both Miles and Paint Rock Masonic lodges. He was also active with the San Angelo Suez Shrine.

We will miss his easy smile, his sense of humor, and the arms that hugged us tight.

We loved him very much.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his mother Jessie Dickson, father Elmer Dickson, brothers Gene, WH and Bob Dickson, and a grandson Shawn Michael Dickson.

Kenneth will be missed dearly by those he left behind, his wife of 59 years, Marie Dickson; his brother Jack Dickson; a son and daughter in law, Kevin and Marcy Dickson; a son Shawn Dickson; a grandson, Preston Dickson; a Granddaughter, Morgan Dickson, along with many nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation at Harper Funeral Home Chapel on Dec 4, 2022 from 2pm-4pm. Funeral service will be at 10 am Dec 5, 2022 in the Harper Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Mullins cemetery.
