Hayden "Hank" Snow

11/14/2023 - 13:51 , by TKing09

Hayden “Hank” Snow, 83, of Voss, TX, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on
Saturday, November 11, 2023.

Hank was born in Gorman, TX to Mildred Ruby and Floyd Burr Snow on October 1, 1940. He met Fredia Sharlene Bradshaw during hunting season in the Fall of 2014, and married her on June 5, 2015, which absolutely changed the last years of his life in the most positive way! Prior to that, Hank had spent 20 years working in, and retiring from, the oil industry. Preceding his time in
the oilfield, he served in the Air Force for over 20 years where he and the
family traveled to Tawain, Germany (twice), and Italy. Along with those tours,
and toward the end of the Vietnam conflict, he did a year on his own in
Thailand. The foundation of family and growing up on the farm got him started
in life. He spoke fondly of “those” times when … well … too many stories to
tell in this piece!

He was proud of many things: of his membership at the Leaday Baptist
Church; of his children, grandchildren and many great and great-great
grandchildren; of the times spent with his brothers at the gun shop, gun range,
reloading ammo, the deer camp and all the things that happen between
brothers during those cherished times.

Hank was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Alma Dean Stone and
Ruby Jane Snow Koonsman, brother Jerry Snow, daughter Diana DeLaCruz,
and grandson Brock Gard.

Hank is survived by his wife, Fredia Snow, children; Vicki (Ken) Gard, Bruce
(Susan) Snow, Clifton (Judy) Holmes, Scott (Jeanne) Snow, Krystal (Chris)
Vernon, Gordon (Brittany) Bradshaw, brothers; William (Polly) Snow and
Tommy (Pat) Williamson, grandchildren; Tammy Daniels, Hayden Mills,
LeeAnn Carlton, Justin Clark, Amanda Gage, Austin Copeland, Eric Gard,
Candace Umphress, Brittany Conwill, Bruce Snow Jr, Haley Freeman,
Heather Strain, Douglas Walters, Abbye Wink, Grayson Forbus, and Waylon
Bradshaw, and over forty-five (yes--45!) great-grandchildren and great-great-
grandchildren!

Visitation will be 5:00 PM on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at The Hamil
Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd, Abilene, TX 79606.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at
The Hamil Family Funeral Home, in Abilene, TX, with Pastor Joseph Haynes

Scott Arlen Morris, Jr.

11/13/2023 - 09:36 , by TKing09

Scott Arlen Morris, Jr. was born on January 4, 1954, to Scott and Maxine Morris in Ft. Worth, TX. While his father was in the service, they lived in Albuquerque, NM, Honolulu, HI, and Texas where he graduated from Midland Lee High School in 1972. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served during the Vietnam War and later was stationed in Arizona, where he was a missile equipment specialist, specifically working with the Titan II Missile. He was always proud to be a veteran and was honored to be part of the Honor Flight of 2015, escorting his father, MSgt. Scott A. Morris, Sr., a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. In 1977, he met the love of his life, Shirley Nutt. They have been married forty-five years, boasting five children, and ten grandchildren. Over the years, Scott and Shirley settled in San Angelo, TX where he worked for and later owned an HVAC company, Western Air Conditioning. One of his many accomplishments was his 38 years of sobriety which was heavily supported by his friends and family of the program, and where he in return, sponsored many others. Among his many pursuits, his expertise was always trucking. He hauled everything from, cattle, oil, oversized and wide loads, and was even specifically requested to haul top-secret loads for the military. In his most recent years, he was employed by W&W |AFCO Steel, hauling beams. There wasn’t a road he didn’t know, hadn’t driven on, or couldn’t navigate. He was ‘Google Maps’ before Google was invented. He saw miles of his beloved country through a windshield, and he instilled the same desire and appreciation for travel in his children. He took his daughters on cross-country trips, exploring the roads of America. When he wasn’t on the road, he was on the sidelines at every soccer game of his daughters, and granddaughters, and football games of his grandsons. Scott will always be their number one fan, having left his recognizable yell in the ears of all spectators. If you knew Scott, you knew that he considered you family. He made sure to call or stop by anytime he passed through your town. Sitting in a crowded room, he could hold a conversation with you like you were the only one there. He had a way of making you feel special. He opened his home and heart to friends and family alike. He was a storyteller, a wealth of knowledge, and loved to joke around.

Scott Morris, passed from this life on November 8, 2023, surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Russell and Richard Morris. Scott is survived by his wife, Shirley Morris; their children, Tricia Turnbow and husband Todd, and son Hunter, of Lubbock, TX.; Scott A. Morris, III and Lupita Morris, their children, Christian and wife Kara, Karen, and Cody of Midland, TX; Leslie Redden of Austin, TX; Shannon Templin and husband Rocky, their children Alexis, McKenzie, and Tripp of San Angelo; Chelsea Smith and husband Justin, their children Danielle, Josalyn, and Kerrigan of San Angelo. Also, to mourn his loss he leaves numerous family, friends, and friends of the program.

A memorial service in his honor will be held on November 27, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Redeemer San Angelo with his sons, Todd Turnbow and Justin Smith officiating. The family would like to thank Shannon Medical Center staff, especially long-time family friend, Dillion Ballard, for their care and concern. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Scott’s favorite charity, Sonrisas Trails. Arrangements are under the care of Harper Funeral Home.

“Roll On…”
