Tucker Cecil Eugene

08/21/2019 - 14:00 , by zoey@hydeinter…

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phillipians 4:13

Cecil Eugene Tucker, born in Miles, Texas on October 3, 1930, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Sunday, August 18th. He was surrounded by his loving family as he passed from life to life. A celebration of his life will be held at 10:00 in the morning on Wednesday, August 21 at Harper Funeral Home with Reverend Mack Roller officiating. A private family burial will follow.

Cecil was preceded in death by his beloved wife of sixty-nine years, Gwyn Tucker, his parents, Albert and Frances Tucker, his brother, Kenneth Tucker, his beloved son, Skeeter Tucker, and two infant sons. He is survived by his sister, Rita McMillan of Sweeney, Texas, daughter and son-in-law, Wilma and Cleve Moore, and daughter-in-law, Debra Tucker, all of San Angelo, his grandchildren, Brandee and Whitt Peaslee of Sonora, Angie Pidgeon of San Angelo, Misty and John Webber of San Angelo, Amy and Allen Dantzler of Benbrook, Tambra and Justin Hollway of San Angelo, Sherry and Trey Clemens of Richardson, and Kayla Tucker of San Angelo as well as twenty-two great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, and his “birthday twin,” Mrs. Charlotte Kolls.

He was lovingly known as “Pimpil” by his seven granddaughters, whom he loved to tease and spoil. He pursued his lifelong passion of farming spending many years on his land near Miles, Texas doing what he loved alongside his loving wife and family. His strength of character led to success in entrepreneurial ventures throughout his life, and his commitment to the work of the church and generosity to her was steadfast. He was also a proud veteran and U. S. Marine.
Semper Fi. His faith in Jesus Christ was always first and foremost on his mind and in his conversations, and he spent his life sharing the gospel with many he met. HIs daughter, Wilma, considers it pure joy to have been able to care for him in these last years which he taught her by example - a laying down of one’s life as Christ calls. Pimpil, also known as “Happy,” had a special relationship with his great-grandchildren. Always the encourager, his love, laughter, and wisdom will be greatly missed by his entire family.

To Justin Hollway, thank you for your loving care of Pimpil and Gigi; you were the grandson they never had. The care given by Cleve, Angie, Misty, Tambra, Kayla, Debra, and Mary Grace will never be forgotten. The family expresses deep gratitude to his friend, Mrs. Virginia Lane, and his dining buddy, Mr. Harlan McWilliams, for their loving care. We also wish to thank Becky Bookter and Helen Kennedy for their faithful care, Glen Meadows Baptist Church for loving him well, and the staff of Lyndale Senior Living. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Glen Meadows Baptist Church.

Roysdon Jason Loki

08/21/2019 - 13:55 , by zoey@hydeinter…

The world was a little less magical on the 15th of August 2019, when our sweet Jason AKA Loki was called to Valhalla. Jason was born on the 9th of December in 1977. He spent his early years in Odessa before heading out to travel the country with his thumb in the air. His stories were endless and priceless, and the experiences instilled in him a deep sense of empathy and respect for the underdog, the lost, the ones whom society deemed unworthy. He was their biggest ally, and he was an unwavering advocate for the homeless.

But work would eventually bring him to San Angelo, and at 26 he reconnected with his junior high crush, his first love in high school, his Carol Thornhill. She quickly became the love of his life. They got married on the 29th of April 2006, the first time he was persuaded to wear a suit since junior high prom, most likely with a band shirt underneath. Together they made a life full of rescuing dogs, cats, lizards, and humans who needed a good meal and a big Loki hug.
He was fiercely protective of his friends and had an incredibly close bond with his family, whether it be dancing with his mom in the middle of the kitchen, talking music with his brothers, or admiring the independence and strength of his baby sister of whom he was so protective. He enjoyed reminiscing over long drives with the windows down with his Aunt DJ, drinking a cold beer with one of his heroes, Uncle Jimmy. They would make plans to build things you could only imagine. One of his favorite things was cuddling up in bed to a good horror flick with his wife, who loved him with all of her heart and soul.

He loved to skateboard, teaching it to many, and he would even build and customize a deck for you if you just asked. His passion and gift were his art and his love for tattoos. Some were a few of his own masterpieces. He was into punk rock and everything it stood for. His favorite band was the Misfits, and he was probably the only guy who could pull off a hand-stitched studded vest with a leopard print collar. His style was unique and one of a kind.

He never met a stranger. He more than once, quite literally gave someone the shirt off his back and would never miss an opportunity to tell someone they were loved. He was always the first to volunteer to fix a hole in the wall or a leaky sink or help someone move. His sense of humor was renowned and wicked. It was absolutely impossible to not be in tears from laughing after any amount of time with him. His heart was big and his laugh contagious. He will be truly missed.

He is preceded in death by his Stepfather Robby Naegele, grandparents Ralph Hooten and James & Ruth Roysdon. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carol Thornhill; mother, Elly Hooten; Aunt and Uncle, Jimmy & Donna Sanchez; grandmother, Dolores (Lorse) Caffey; his siblings, Jeremy & Chelsea Lawrence, Tommy Naegele, Amanda Naegele, Jake Roysdon, Jr., Regina Tatum, Sandra Thornhill, and Emily Boyd; nieces and nephews, Riley, Elly, Lyric, Conor, Lily, Ernie, Regan, Brad, Chandler, and Alec; and special cousins, Brandon Sanchez & Mistie Tyler.

It is said that no one is actually gone until the ripples they cause in the world die away. We’re going to have Jason for a long, long while.
