Old Election Foes May Reunite for Hate Crime Trial

SAN ANGELO, TX — Two election foes may have the opportunity to reunite in the courtroom. According to the Sept. 20, 2022 Tom Green County Commissioners’ Court agenda, outgoing County Court at Law #2 Judge Penny Roberts wants to retire early. In order to do so, the winner of the March 1 Republican Primary Andrew Graves will be sworn in on November 1 if commissioners approve.

Fort Concho to Host Archaeology Fair This Weekend

Fort Concho will host the annual Archaeology Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, on the grounds and inside Barracks 6 and Commissary buildings at the site’s northeast corner off Flipper Street at East Avenue C. Members of the Concho Valley Archaeology Society will have dozens of interactive activities such as mock digs, ancient bow and arrow shootings, face painting, atlatl throwing and rock art. The event is free to all.

Dangerous Midland Fugitive Added to Texas Top 10 Most Wanted

Antonio Martinez Gonzalez, 41, is affiliated with the West Texas Tango gang and has been wanted since February 2021, after the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a warrant for his arrest for a parole violation. In May 2021, the Midland County Sheriff’s Office also issued a warrant for his arrest for assault by impeding breath/circulation.
