Ricky B. Offill, 71, of San Angelo, passed away on August 6, 2025. He was born on December 31, 1953, in Mesquite, Texas, to Alton and Peggy Offill.
Rick graduated from Miles High School in 1973 and went on to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps for four years. Following his military service, he began a fulfilling 30-year career as a lineman with GTE.
In October of 1980, Rick married the love of his life, Linda Collins. Rick had a deep interest in military history and enjoyed learning about the sacrifices and stories of those who served before him.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Peggy Offill; his in-laws, Bill and Beulah Collins; and his beloved grandson, Garrett Cook.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Offill; his daughters, Christina Cook and husband Redgy, and Robbie Simpson and husband Jeremy; his siblings, Vicki Hinesley and husband Earl, and Terri Blackwell and husband Robert and Barry Offill and wife Julie; his brother-in-law, Micky Collins and wife Kerrie; his granddaughter-in-law, Reagan Cook; his grandchildren, Gage Cook, and Avery, Rylee, and Madison Simpson; and his great-grandchildren, Gavin and Zane Cook. He is also remembered fondly by several nieces and nephews — and his treasured fur-babies, Katy, Missy, and Cookie.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens, with Mike Bonner officiating.
