Winki McLellan Smith

Mrs. Winki McLellan Smith, 80, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021. Winki was born June 9, 1940 in Atlanta, Georgia and was raised in Wauchula, Hardee County, Florida, graduating from Hardee County High School in 1958. She was a cheerleader and participated in many other school activities. Upon graduation from high school, Winki entered the United States Air Force. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy E. Knight; her stepfather, Ivy Buell Knight; and, a sister, Marie Janine McLellan. She is survived by her daughter, Dorrie Radford (Ron)of San Angelo, Texas; her two granddaughters, Ashley Paille and Miranda Chaney as well as four great grandchildren. She also leaves her four sisters, Diane McLellan Trott (Bobby)of North Carolina; Kathy McLellan of Georgia; Peggy M. Freeman of Florida; and, Ivy Fitzgerald of California as well as many nephews and nieces. Her last wishes are being attended to by her daughter, Dorrie Radford.
