Stoner Martha Pauline

Martha Pauline "Polly" Stoner, 85, of San Angelo, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2014 at a local care center. 
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014, 2:00 pm at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel, San Angelo, Texas, with Rev. Guy White officiating, Burial will follow in the Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, January 10, 2014 5 pm - 7 pm at Robert Massie Funeral Home. 
She was born on December 23, 1928 to James and Gladys (Prater) Skidmore at Topeka, KS. She attended school in Rossville, KS. She married Marvin Stoner on June 1, 1947 in Rossville, KS. Martha worked as a seamstress for numerous years, but quilting was her true passion. Polly started a quilting group at Southland Baptist Church where she was a member at the time. 
Martha is survived by her loving spouse, of 66 years, Marvin Stoner, Daughter - Diane Batko of San Angelo, TX; 2 Sons - Gary Stoner of Sasche, TX, James Stoner of Conroe, TX; 3 Grandsons - Greg Stoner of ST Louis, MO, Bryan Stoner of Conroe, TX, Justin Batko of San Angelo, TX; 2 Granddaughters - Kendall Williams of Burbank, CA, Haley Stoner of Conroe, TX; 2 Great-grandsons - Daniel Williams of Burbank, CA, Avery Williams of Burbank, CA; Great-granddaughter - Thalia Williams of Burbank, CA; Brother-in-law - Wayne Stoner of Tempe, AR; and many friends. 
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Sanchez Ignacio

Ignacio “Nacho” Sanchez, Jr., 45, of San Angelo went to be with our Heavenly Father on January 6, 2014. 

Nacho is survived by his father Ignacio Sanchez, Sr. and wife, Susan; mother Christina Sanchez and husband, Joe Amaya; sisters - Eve Nunez and boyfriend Secundino Trevino; Norma Martinez and husband, Mark; and Amy Shields; brother - Adam Sanchez and wife, Nichole; four nephews, three nieces, two great nieces and a very special friend Johnnie McKeown. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents – Mr. and Mrs. Donato Sanchez & Mr. and Mrs. Frank Juarez. 

Nacho will be remembered for his Love for his family and friends, his strength, kind heart and big smile. Not only was he a great son and brother; he was a terrific human being. We will all miss him dearly. Heaven has not only gained an Angel but a warrior at heart. 

Family visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. 

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 10, 2014 at Fairmount Cemetery with Pastor Todd Nelson of Christian Faith Center under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. 

The Sanchez family would like to give a special thanks to Robert Massie Funeral Home and Fairmount Cemetery.

Ford Mary Ware

Mary Ware Ford, 91, passed quietly from this life to the comfort of her Lord to reunite with her precious family, on Tuesday, January 7th at Regency House. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Charles and Ruth Kilpatrick Ware, her daughter Sharon Ford Tackett, and her precious granddaughter Rhonda Ann Tackett.

Mary graduated from Central High School and attended San Angelo College. Her career choice was banking, but Mary always dreamed of becoming a lawyer. Her banking career began at San Angelo National Bank, on January 2, 1945. She became Vice President of the Loan Department and retired in August 1987, after 42 years of service.

Mary was very involved in her church, Sacred Heart Cathedral. She loved going to mass and was very active in her prayer and rosary group. She served on the school board of Angelo Catholic School and prepared many a meal for various parish functions.

Mary is survived by her special church family that she held so dear and her extended cousins. John Childers and Janice Pelzel were her caregivers and attended to her needs after Sharon’s death on June 28, 2011. She considered John her most trusted friend in business matters, especially in her latter years. Janice provided transportation and shopping duty for Mary after she moved into Rio Concho Terrace.

Rosary will be Friday, January 10, at Robert Massie Chapel at 7:00 p.m.. Graveside services will be Saturday, January 11, at Calvary Cemetery at 10:00 a.m.. Deacon Frankie Aguirre, Deacon Steve Zimmerman and Deacon Tom Giovinette will officiate.
