Eva Lou Taulman Guest

Eva Lou Taulman Guest, 79, passed away Monday, August 3, 2015 in San Angelo. She was born to the late, Wilber T. Earl and Wilda Sara Kelley Taulman on Thursday, May 7, 1936 in Center, Colorado. Eva Lou worked in the restaurant business for over 65 years before retiring. She was a waitress with Dunbar East for over 40 years, where she took great pride in taking care of her customers, who quickly became her friends. It can be said that she was a workaholic. Her work ethic was one that was inspiring. Eva Lou was a busy lady but took time to enjoy her trips on the road with her husband and sitting on the porch. She married Jerry Valton Guest, Sr. on Friday, September 10, 1973 in San Angelo. She was of Christian faith. Every year when Christmas time arrives, Eva Lou will be remembered by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Joyce Hendrickson, Orville Taulman, Donny Taulman, and Jerry Taulman.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Guest, Sr.; children and their spouses, David Kenner and Tammie, Cyndi Hess and Len, Dianna Oliver, Bobby Joe Kenner, Gene Kenner, Linda Martinez and Sal, J.V. Guest and Jody, Kathy Wilha and Steve, and Sharon Baker and Bobby; 21 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; siblings, Dickie Taulman, Kenny Taulman, Snooks Rodarmel, Birdie Merrill, and Donna Ingland; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
A time of visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, August 7, 2015 in the Family Room at the Johnson's Funeral Home of San Angelo. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the San Angelo Cowboy Church at 4001 N. Chadbourne, San Angelo, Texas 76903 with Pastor Jay Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens, San Angelo.

Coleta Fenley

Coleta Alice Fenley was born on July 5, 1913 in Coleman County, Texas. She was the youngest of 4 children and her parents were W.D. and Emma May Mullis. She married John H. Fenley on December 31, 1937 in Seguin, Texas. Her husband was a WWII veteran and they traveled to several post war countries. As a young woman she served as post mistress in Brookesmith, Texas. She was also a hairdresser for many years. 
Coleta passed away in the Robert Lee Care Center on August 2, 2015. She is survived by nieces Tommye Wright and Lucretia Cargile, and nephews Charles Mullis and Jimmy Mullis. She was also loved and will be missed by many great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and even great-great-great nieces and one nephew. She is also survived by cousins Jack and Marie. 
She was loved by all who knew her and admired for her strong spirit and independence. She was a positive influence in the lives of family and friends. Recently the family joined her in celebrating her 102nd birthday, a local band which included her great nephew, played for her party at the Care Center. 
The family would like to express a special thanks to the Robert Lee Care Center for the attention and consideration she received over the last few months. 
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Coke County Food Pantry, Vision with a Purpose or any local charity. 
Visitation will be held all day Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at the funeral home with family present 6:00-8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Trickham Cemetery.

Rodulph Rudy G. Valdez

Rudolph "Rudy" Valdez of San Angelo died July 30, 2015 in his residence at the age of 74. He was born to Roque and Mariana Valdez October 17, 1940 in Menard, TX where he was also raised. He was a long time employee of B & W Trailers. Rudy loved to spend time with his family, loved to Bar-B-Q, sit down enjoy a beer while listening to music. Rudy was a devoted, hardworking man and loved working outside on projects and in the yard. He loved watching Football especially his favorite team The Dallas Cowboys and golf. Rudy had a very colorful character and huge heart. He is preceded in death by his mother Mariana Valdez, father Roque Valdez, brothers Rocky Valdez, Joe Valdez, son Benjamin Valdez, and grandson Adrean Begil. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Ophelia Valdez, daughter Vicky Valdez and husband Christopher Begil of San Angelo, sons Sal Valdez and wife Nerza of the Philippines , Richard Valdez and wife Zulema of Nevada, sister Emma Lara and husband Sam Lara of Menard. Nine grandchildren including his special grandchildren Ariana, Izaak and Nikolas. Three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Sam Lara, Christopher Begil, Richard Gonzales, Daniel Rodriguez, Jimmy Kennon and John Cortez. Rosary will be held at Robert Massie Funeral Home on Sunday evening August 2, 2015 at 7pm. Funeral services will be held in Menard, TX Monday morning August 3rd, 2015 at 11am with burial following at the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family would like to thank everyone who helped Rudy in his time of illness with extended gratitude to Billy of B&W Trailers, his sister Emma, nieces Veronica, Vivian and husband Ray, San Angelo Home Health and Hospice of San Angelo. Rudy will be missed dearly everyday. We love you very much.

Wallace Craig Gibbs

Wallace Craig Gibbs, 92 of San Angelo, Texas passed away peacefully Friday, July 31,2015 at his home in Corpus Christi surrounded by his loving family. The family will receive Friends for visitation Tuesday, August 4, 2015 from 6 – 8 PM at Johnson's Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday August 5 at 10 AM in Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Taylor Sandlin officiating, Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. The Pallbearers for the service will be his grandsons and great grandsons.
Wallace was born in San Angelo May 7, 1923. He was married to Dorothy Gibbs on July 26, 1942 in San Angelo. They were married 54 years before her passing in 1996. He served in World War II from 1942-1946 in the 5th Air Force Squadron. Wallace spent the first three years of service in Ireland servicing airplanes that went to England. To help keep their minds off the war the American Red Cross started up a baseball team to compete with the neighboring Air Force teams in Ireland. Wallace played pitcher and often told how his team played 40 games that season of which they only lost three. They won their championship game in London, England. In his last year of service, his job was to defuse bombs that had not been used during the war. When he returned he was self-employed for 32 years in the produce business. After retiring from his business he moved to Big Lake where he was the manager for Town and Country Village Market for 13 years. Retiring from Town and Country Market, Wallace returned to San Angelo to enjoy fishing.
Wallace was a skilled wood worker. He created beautiful pieces of art from natural wood on his lathe. He especially loved to design and create pens. He often said he loved making thing that were useful, things he could share, and he did! Many friends and family members will cherish these beautiful gifts as they cherished him.
On May 6, 2006 Wallace married Betty Latham Gibbs and together they created a home at Baptist Memorial Retirement Center where they lived for 9 years. As he began to lose his battle with Alzheimer's, he moved to Corpus Christi to live with his daughter and granddaughter.
Wallace was a loving husband, cherished father, brother, uncle and best friend to many over a lifetime of sharing , good times , stories and adventures.
Wallace is preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy Gibbs, his son Lonny Gibbs, a granddaughter Kristin Gibbs, two brothers Harold Gibbs and Billy Gibbs, his mother Delia Swope Gibbs and father Wallace Gibbs, Sr.
He is survived by his wife Betty Gibbs, of San Angelo; one daughter Linda Hodges of Corpus Christi; one granddaughter Traci McBain of Corpus Christi , four grandsons Dane Gibbs of Buda, Scott Hodges of Pflugerville, Greg Armstrong, of El Paso and Craig Armstrong, of Midland; one sister Gerldine Boatright of Odessa , eight great grandchildren , one stepson Allen Latham of San Angelo, two stepdaughters LuAnn Troudt of Devine and Elizabeth O'Briant of San Angelo , three step grandsons , one step granddaughter and many loved nieces and nephews.
We are especially grateful to the years of care from the doctors and nurses of Shannon Clinic and to Dr. Hines and Dr. Szalai and Angel Brite Hospice of Corpus Christi.

Dorothy Lee Clements

Dorothy Clements, passed on into the arms of her Heavenly Father, Thursday morning. She was born March 15, 1921, daughter to Homer and Viola DeShazo. Wife to Melvin Clements, who in 1991 preceded her in death. Loving Mother to Sharon Sanders, grandmother to Kim McBride, David Chambers, and Lee Britt Swaringin. Great grandmother to David, Danielle, and Whitney Hash. Jessica, Joshua, Janna, and John David Chambers. Stephen, Stephanie, Brittney, Brooke, and Bethany Swaringin. Great great grandmother to Tyler, Cameron, Kylie and Daniel Hash. Ryan Chambers. Jasper Lee Metaxas. She was a beautifully loving and generous mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother (Mema) who has been terribly missed since her major stroke last August. Viewing will be Sunday 7-9 pm at Johnson's funeral home with a small graveside ceremony at Belvedere cemetery 9am Monday morning.

Elsie Hejl Moeller

Elsie Hejl Moeller, age 95, of San Angelo departed this earthly home on Friday, July 31, 2015, for a Heavenly home through her faith in Jesus. Family visitation will be Monday, August 3, 2015, at Johnson's Funeral Home from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Services will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel with Father Charles Greenwell officiating and burial immediately following at Calvary Cemetery. 
Elsie was born August 6, 1919, in her grandparent's home near Taylor, Texas, to Jim and Annie Dusek Hejl. In her teenage years, the family of 12 moved to the Wall community to continue farming. Farm and household work prepared her for marriage to her lifelong husband, Melvin Moeller. They were married November 23, 1937, at Sacred Heart Cathedral and continued farming and rearing four children. 
Elsie was of a generation that stressed family values, working hard and saving up for harder times, encouraging education, and caring for one another. Mom's endless tasks, to name a few, were making handmade clothes, filling a cellar with canned goods from the garden, trading eggs for other groceries, long hours of manual field work on the farm, treating the kids with goodies on Friday grocery buying day, countless baseball games with snow cones, school functions as room mother, encouraging family gatherings, supporting and loving her children and husband, and later caring for family needing help. 
Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Moeller; a brother, Jerry Hejl; sisters Betty (Holubec) Bubenik, and Annie Wanoreck; and granddaughter, Teri DiMarco. The extended family includes two sons, James Moeller and wife Sue of Gun Barrel City, Roy Lee Moeller and wife Jane of New Braunfels; and two daughters, Shirley Henderson and husband Robert, Jr., and Doris Wendland and husband Eugene, all of San Angelo. Eight grandchildren include Michael Yoes, Tamyla Morris, Wesley Wendland, Cathy Jackson, Kimberly Cernyar, Janette Eldridge, Richard Moeller, and Keri Blake. Great grandchildren include Kelsey Blake, Caitlin Yoes, Blazer Blake, Justin Yoes, Hunter Jackson, Caelie Morris, Madison Yoes, Zoe Eldridge, Laura Morris, Alexis Jackson, Ali Eldridge, Grant Morris, Nathan Cernyar, and Rory Ginder. 
Surviving siblings include Sadie Havlak, Ruby Bryant, Dorothy Harmon, Stanley Hejl, Mary Ann Harmon, Ervin Hejl, and Lorene Snodgrass, all of San Angelo. 
Pallbearers will be Michael Yoes, Wesley Wendland, Richard Moeller, Wayne Dusek, Travis Dusek, and Bobby Lynn Craft. 
Should memorials be given, please consider Hospice of San Angelo in the hope that others will leave this earthly home in the same dignity and peace as Elsie. The family wishes to thank Royal Estates for over a decade of independent living and Meadow Creek Senior Care facility for her remaining months.

Adolfo Elguezabal Ortiz

Adolfo Elguezabal Ortiz, 65 of Eldorado, went to his final resting place on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. He was born on June 5, 1950 in Muzquiz Coahuila Mexico to Juan and Dora Elguezabal. Memorial service is at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2015 in Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel.
Adolfo will be remembered as giving and selfless. He was also very independent, self-sufficient, and hard working. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father and his aunt, Elicia Elguezabal. Survivors include his mother Dora Ortiz; brothers: Jesus Elguezabal and wife Carlota, Juan Antonio Elguezabal and wife Rosalinda, and Benito Frausto; cousins: Cesar Elquezabal and wife Cindy, Miriam Favela, and Adolfo Elguezabal and wife Debbie; and many numerous nieces and nephews.
