Edward Ware Porter

Edward W. Porter, 90, of San Angelo, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2016.
Edward W. Porter was born May 18, 1925 to Hafford and Zelma Porter. He grew up in Harrah, Oklahoma. Edward married his next door neighbor and best friend, Shirley, in 1947. They enjoyed a happy and successful marriage of 68 years.
Edward served as an Army infantryman in the closing days of World War II. He graduated from Oklahoma A&M in 1948. He worked as a Petroleum engineer for Forest Oil in Odessa.
Edward and Shirley relocated to San Angelo and enjoyed many years of service through their church, First Baptist.
Edward is survived by his wife Shirley; 3 children – Beverly, Steve, and Susan; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 3:00-5:00 PM Sunday, March 20, 2016, at Johnson's Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, March 21, 2016, at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, Oklahoma.

Joe Angel Urrabazo

Infant, Joe Angel Urrabazo, was born into Heaven on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 in San Angelo to Adam Urrabazo and Kassandra Faircloth. Although he was not with us long, he will live on forever in our hearts. 
Survivors include his parents, Adam Urrabazo and Kassandra Faircloth; siblings, Adam Jesse Urrabazo, Sebastian Alexander Urrabazo, Lexxie Jayde Lavaris and Serenity Faith Rodriguez; grandparents, Joe Urrabazo, Amy Rodriguez, and Charles and Josie Darter; great grandmothers, Linda Moreno and Paula Chavez Rodriguez; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends

Bill Rees, 62, of Big Lake, Texas, passed away on March 11, 2016 in his home in Big Lake. 

Funeral services will be held 11:00am on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Portis Ribble officiating. Burial will follow in Robert Lee Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Bill was born in San Angelo to Thelma Louise and Bill Rees, Jr., on December 14, 1953. He graduated high school in Iraan, Texas and attended Texas Tech University. He married the love of his life Linda Higgins on April 1, 1978 in San Angelo, Texas. He worked in the oilfield his entire life. Working as a derrick man on drilling rigs, a roustabout, pumper, drilling foreman and for the last 24 years he was an oil and gas consultant. He loved his job and he loved working with JW Mulloy Associates. 

Bill is preceded in death by his father and mother and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Cindy and Ron Jetton. 

Bill is survived by his wife Linda of Big Lake, son Eric and wife Teresa of Lubbock, granddaughter Cecilia, special mother-in-law Alma (Kayo) Higgins, brother Robert Rees, nephew Justin Jetton and wife Kelsey and a very special friend James Williams of Ozona. 

In lieu of flowers the family asks memorials be given to the West Texas Rehab of San Angelo or Big Lake Volunteer Fire Department. 

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the EMT’s of Reagan County, the staff of Shannon 4 South and Dr. Anderton.

Alcario G. Cardenas

Alcario G. Cardenas, 81, of San Angelo, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016 at a local nursing home. 

He was born on April 3, 1934 to Zaragoza and Maria (Gomez) Cardenas in Ballinger, TX. Alcario worked as a carpenter for most of his life. After retiring, Alcario became an avid golfer, he loved spending time with his golfing buddies.

Alcario is survived by Connie Garza; three daughters, Irma C. Carrasco, Lisa C. Daniels all of San Angelo; Sylvia Ramon of Durango, CO; four sons, Eddie Cardenas, Mario Cardenas, Orlando Cardenas all of San Angelo; Rene Cardenas of New York, NY; mother of his children, Isabel Bejil of San Angelo; four sisters, Mary Sanchez, Alicia Martinez, Yolanda Wellner all of San Angelo, Armida Renteria of Del Rio; three brothers, David Cardenas, Zaragoza Cardenas, Jr. and Gustavo Cardenas all of San Angelo; seventeen grandchildren, forty-five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by father, Zaragoza Cardenas, mother, Maria (Gomez) Cardenas, son, Alcario Cardenas, Jr., brothers, Abel Cardenas and Saul Cardenas.

Viewing will start 11:00am Saturday, March 12th at Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Prayer service will be held at 6:00pm on Sunday, March 13th at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, March 14, 2016, at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Pastor Ignacio Hernandez, officiating under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Charlene Maw Maw Perkins

Willie Charlene "Maw Maw" Perkins, 68, of San Angelo passed away Friday March 11, 2016 at her home surrounded by her children and loved ones. She was born March 19, 1947 in San Angelo, Texas. She is survived by her three daughters Sanda McNiel of San Angelo, Shella Perkins of Fort Worth, Shara Beard of San Angelo and three sons Billy Perkins of San Angelo, Willie Perkins of Lubbock, and John Perkins of Pueblo, Colorado. She has two sisters Jane Ross and Janelle Allen along with nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening; reading, spending time with her grandchildren, being pampered by her loved ones, and always surrounded herself with the people she loved. Her house was always open to anyone who needed a home and a helping hand. She was a classy business woman who made her own way in the world, and never let anyone make her decisions. She had a heart full of love and knew exactly what to say in any situation. She was not only a mother of six, but a mother to everyone who walked through her door. She was preceded in death by her father William Travis Phillips, her mother Anna Bell Phillips, and her four sisters and two brothers Hazel Booth, Millard Phillips, Ethel Fenwick, Lola Leatherman, Dorothy Miller, and Clyde Phillips. Grave side services will be held on Tuesday 2pm at Harriett Community Cemetery in Harriett, Texas.
