Prochazka Ernest

Ernest Prochazka, age 90, of San Angelo, passed away on Wednesday, December 18th 2019. He was born in Caldwell, TX on August 19th 1929. He was married to Delores Koerth Prochazka on August 6th 1948. Ernest had a career in geological surveying for twenty years and retired from the Navy in October of 1969. He was passionate about University of Texas football, and was also an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wife Delores, his children Melissa Binyan and Janet Kiser, his grandchildren Stephanie Kiser and Robyn Burney, plus his great-grandchildren Jordan, Joseph, Peyton and Finley. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Johnson's Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens on Friday, December 20th at 10:00 AM.

Canales Florencio

Florencio Canales, 83, of San Angelo, passed away on December 15, 2019 inside his home while being surrounded and embraced by his loved ones. Florencio was born in Uvalde, Texas on November 25, 1936, where he spent most of his childhood with his brothers and sisters. As a young man, Florencio had the honor and distinction of serving his country around the world as a member of the United States Air Force for 24 years until his military retirement. He married his loving wife Clemencia Lopez Canales and they devoted sixty-one years of marriage to each other. During their marriage, Florencio and Clemencia had four beautiful daughters. After his military career, he worked for the City of San Angelo as a bus driver, then he continued to work in a civilian capacity at the Goodfellow Airforce Base library until his retirement from the workforce. His life was further enriched by ten grandchildren whom he adored with all of his heart, and fourteen great-grandchildren. Florencio’s love for his grandchildren remained boundless and lasted until his final days on Earth.

Florencio was preceded in death by his parents Florencio and Guadalupe Burato Canales, his daughter Nora Canales Ehrlich, his sisters Irene, Manuela, Matilda, Elida, Estella, Helen and his brothers Frank and Alfonso. He is survived by his wife Clemencia Canales, his daughters Yolanda Roberson and husband Gary, Dora Ehrlich and husband Carl, Lupe Gutierrez and husband Hector Gutierrez Jr., sister Elisa Ortegon, ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

The family of Florencio Canales would like to issue a special and heartfelt thank you to Hospice of San Angelo, TLC Homehealth, the Bara family, and all of his thoughtful neighbors for the compassion, care, and concern that they provided during this difficult time.

A Rosary will be read on Thursday at 7:00 pm at Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North, 1002 N Oakes St., San Angelo, TX 76903. Chapel Services will be on Friday at 10:00 am at the funeral home followed with military graveside services at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.

The family will gather for a lunch after the burial at the Christian Church of San Angelo, located at 4064 S Bryant Blvd San Angelo, TX after the service.

Carmen Perez, 69, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2019, in San Angelo.

Pending at this time.

Mrs. Perez was born October 1, 1950, in San Angelo where she has been a lifelong resident. Carmen was a nurse’s aide for Arbor Terrace Nursing Home retiring in 1985. She was a Catholic.

Survivors include her two sons, Mario Navarro and Albert Navarro Perez both of San Angelo; three sisters, Doleres Veliz, Alice Calderon, and Ignacia Artega all of San Angelo; two brothers, Preston Navarro, Jr. and Juan Navarro both of San Angelo; three grandchildren, Monica, Luis, and Ashley all of San Angelo; and six great grandchildren. Carmen was preceded in death by her parents, Preston, Sr. and Lenore Flores Navarro; a brother, Miguel Navarro; a son, Raynaldo Perez; three sisters, Albina Melendez, Elvira Garcia, and Catarina Ortiz; and a granddaughter, Mercedes Navarro.

Freeman Joe Elliott

Joe Elliott Freeman passed away peacefully on Monday, December 16th in San Angelo, TX. He was born on September 25, 1933 to Jessie Blancett Freeman and Trim Freeman in Dean Dale, TX. He was Presbyterian by faith. He married Arveta Bane on February 5, 1957 in Aztec, NM. Joe attended schools in the Dean Dale TX and Wichita Falls TX area. After school, he was employed by Doug Johnson for many years. He retired later with Ingersol Rand. Joe traveled to many countries and all over the US.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, George. He is survived by his wife Arveta Freeman, of San Angelo; his children Peggy Whilhite and husband Russell of Pattison TX, Ricky Freeman and wife Leasa of Midland TX, DeAnn Morgan and husband Doby of San Angelo TX and Joe Freeman Jr. and wife Jeanice of Wink, TX; 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Joyce Freeman of Gering, NB and his sister-in- law, Ina Marie Baughman and husband Ben of Montacello, UT. In addition, Joe is also survived by several cousins.

Joe was a hardworking man and loved by all who knew him.

The Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, December 21st at 2PM at Crestview Memorial Park in Wichita Falls, TX.

Wadsworth Judy Kay Brown

Judy Kay Brown Wadsworth, 68, of Lubbock went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 15, 2019 in Lubbock. Judy was born May 12, 1951 in San Angelo, Texas to Vonnie Ray and Ruth Holt Brown. She spent her childhood in different towns in west Texas and the Texas panhandle moving with her family and graduated from Reagan County High School. Judy would go on to attend Texas Tech University for a few years before marrying Jay Wadsworth on December 26, 1975. She became a loving wife, mother and grandmother who would devote her life to her family and her friends. Judy loved being a homemaker and teaching her children and grandchildren to have strength and courage, and to put your heart and soul into everything you do. Judy loved traveling, reading, shopping and loved her animals. Most of all, she was and incredibly generous person who enjoyed giving of herself and time to others. Her spirit of generosity and ability to give to others was surpassed by no one. Judy had a beautiful heart and spread love and laughter wherever she was and with whoever she encountered. She lived life to the fullest and taught others to, and made the most of every single day, regardless of life’s hardships. Judy was a member of Faith Christian Family Church in Lubbock. On Sundays, she volunteered in the nursery and was involved in numerous other ministries with her church family. Judy Kay Brown Wadsworth was a woman of strength, love, grace, compassion, and a woman that always would be there for her family and friends. We will always love the wife, mother, grandmother and best friend she was to all of us and her memory will remain in our hearts forever! Judy was preceded in death by her parents and one stepdaughter Julie Rhoads. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Jay Wadsworth, of Lubbock; her children, Jill Wadsworth Gasch and her husband Jeff, of Midland and Jason Wadsworth, of Lubbock; her grandchildren, Jaden and Jenna Gasch and Jasmine Wadsworth; her step grandchildren, Jon Rhoads and Jaycee Rhoads; her Brother Ray Brown and his wife Jeanine, of Lubbock; and numerous other family members and many friends. A celebration of Judy’s life will be held at 4:00 PM, Friday, December 20, 2019 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, 6025 82nd Street, in Lubbock, TX, 79424. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:30 P.M., Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Glenrest Cemetery in Big Lake, TX. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.

Martinez Airianna Laney

Heaven gained another angel, Airianna (Airi) Laney Martinez, on Sunday, December 15, 2019. Airi was born on August 19, 2002 in San Angelo to Daniel Martinez and Jennifer Lynn Merritt. Airi was a senior at Central High School and recently was accepted to Angelo State University as an undergrad. She was a dedicated student and a hard worker, juggling her job and AP and dual credit courses. Airi worked at Hidalgo's West on Sherwood Way.
Airianna is survived by her parents; stepfather Lym Gonzales; siblings Kayla, Caleb, Markus, Alexis, Richelle, and Daniella Martinez; grandparents Juan & Maria Arispe, and Herbert Duke.

A Memorial service honoring her life will be held 3:30pm, Thursday, December 19th 2019 at First Christian Church.

Adame Trine Torres

Trine Torres Adame, 97, of San Angelo, went to rest in heaven on Monday, December 16th 2019. She was preceded in death by four of her sons Patricio Adame Jr., Gabriel Adame, Alex Adame and Martin Adame, along with her parents. No mother should suffer the pain of losing her sons. She will be at rest now that she’s in the arms of her heavenly father.

Trine was born in Brady, TX on October 29th 1922 to Lazaro & Loranza Torres. She was married to Patricio Adame Sr. before his passing. Trine was a beloved mother, friend and homemaker. She enjoyed cooking for her family & being outdoors with her flowers and plants.

She is survived by her children Mary Adame of Kyle, TX, Martha Rodriguez, Arthur Adame Sr., and Richard Adame Sr., all of San Angelo, TX. She is also survived by her brother Gilbert Torres, along with many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was loved by many & will be dearly missed.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Johnson’s Funeral Home. Viewing will begin at the funeral home on Monday, December 23rd at 8:00 AM, then rosary and clergy at 10:00 AM, followed by a graveside service at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
