WATCH: The Wall Hawks Pummel Eastland in Season Opener

EASTLAND, TX -- The Wall Hawks took care of business in week one as they pummeled the Eastland Mavericks 38-3.

The game began with Mavericks holding the ball for a long period of time. They held the ball for the majority of the first quarter until Taven Espinosa snagged an interception for the Hawks. This led to Chase Rios getting the ball and scoring a huge first quarter touchdown, establishing momentum for Wall.

The second quarter was all Hawks as they were able to score 21 points. Eastland finally got on the scoreboard with a long field goal. This would be their only points of the game. Wall scored 28 points in the first half on only 14 first half plays.

They second half trended the same. Wall was able to score 10 more points including a long field goal by sophomore Pierce Jameson.

The game ended with Wall putting in their second string.

Chase Rios had five carries for four touchdowns and 164 yards.

Drew Morrison had eight carries for 85 yards and one touchdown.
