CoCo Simpson, previous candidates for Tom Green County Commissioner Pct. 4, released a statement on Wednesday regarding the outcome of the 2022 Republican Primary Election.
While I was disappointed we came up around 100 votes short of our goal on Election Night, I am incredibly humbled by the support I received from so many, and remain grateful for the opportunity to run.
To win a contested election with more that two candidates, one candidate would have to receive over 50% of the votes cast. It the County Judge race, that would have been 5,522 votes.
