A Tom Green County Jury earlier this week sentenced a San Angelo woman to prison after she took a possession of a controlled substance charge to a jury trial.
A San Angelo man on Friday morning was arrested by the San Angelo Police Department after they say he stole packages from a porch on the Loop 306 Frontage Rd.
Officers removed the packages, which contained 6.39 pounds of alleged methamphetamine, 8.42 pounds of alleged fentanyl, 13.44 pounds of alleged cocaine, and 19.92 pounds of alleged heroin.
San Angelo Police early Friday morning arrested 37-year-old Jose Vasquez for Felony Bail Jumping and Failure to Appear in Court. He was also charged with evading arrest. Vasquez was booked into the Tom Green County Jail at 12:26 a.m. Friday and is being held on $37,000 bond.
Agents responded to the area and apprehended 704 migrants making illegal entry into the United States. The group consisted of 535 Cubans, 74 Nicaraguans, 49 Colombians, 31 Dominicans, nine Peruvians, three Ecuadorians, and three Mexicans.
