Thieves Strike Several Vehicles in Southwest San Angelo Thursday

SAN ANGELO, TX - The San Angelo Police Department received six (and counting) reports of vehicle burglaries Thursday morning, Feb. 8, in the Southwest part of town.

According to the police department, the common trend is that the suspect(s) are forcing entry into the vehicles by breaking the windows to steal the victim’s property.

The department asks that residents in the Southwest part of town review their surveillance cameras for any footage of the suspect(s,) report any suspicious activity to dispatch, and do their part by following the tips below.

First, lock your vehicle even if you are going to be away from it for only a matter of seconds.

The second directive is to take keys, valuable items, and firearms out of the vehicle when it is unattended.

The third guideline is to hide valuables out of sight of potential criminals.

It was previously reported on Feb. 6 that there have been 49 vehicle burglaries in San Angelo since the beginning of 2024.

Please contact non-emergency dispatch at 325-657-4315 if you have any information/video footage of the suspect(s.)
