Robert "Bobby" Ramon

Robert "Bobby" Ramon, 66, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021, in San Angelo.

Public viewing will be from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM Monday, November 29, 2021, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Pastor Roy Ramon, Bobby's brother, and pastor of Beacon Baptist church, officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 PM Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Albany Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mr. Ramon was born August 25, 1955 in Ozona. Bobby was a 1973 graduate of Andrews High School. Bobby had worked in the oilfield in his younger years and later was a maintenance man for the Phoenix Apartments and Stone Gate Apartments. Bobby loved to watch football, playing guitar, and collecting western saddles. Bobby loved the Dallas Cowboys.

Survivors include his wife, Vicki McDaniel of the home; a daughter, Jessica Castaneda and husband Jesse of Odessa; four grandchildren; three brothers, Roy Ramon and wife Joyce of San Angelo, Louie Ramon and wife Kati of San Antonio, and Michael Ramon; a special nephew, Eric Ramon of Abilene; his father and mother-in-law, Vernon and Geraldine McDaniel of Albany; brother-in-law, DeLayne McDaniel and wife Beverly of Albany; a great friend, Steve Escobedo of San Angelo; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Baldomero and Frances Ramon; a sister, Evelyn Ramon; and a brother-in-law, DeWayne McDaniel.

Felice Alcala Garza

Felice Alcala Garza, 90 of San Angelo left this world to be with the Lord on Friday, November 26, 2021.Past on November 26, 2021 at the age of 90 years in San Angelo Tx surrounded by her family. Arrangements are with Harper Funeral Home and Crematory. 

Felice was born to Roman and Rafaela Alcala on November 21, 1931. She graduated from San Angelo Senior High in 1951 later she married Manuel G. Garza on July 5, 1953 in San Angelo. Felice was a caring and devoted wife, mother, and 
grandmother. Felice lived a full life as a wonderful mother and homemaker and most of all she loved her family and instilled strong values that have served us well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. 

Felice is survived by her three children, Martha G Russell of Keller Tx, Maxine G Salazar and husband Guadalupe of Abilene and Manuel Garza Jr. of San Angelo. Along with her beloved grandson Blake A. Russell, wife Megan, great grandson Cooper Russell and great granddaughter Madison Russell from Keller Tx and special nephew Roy Guerrero, wife Catalina of Odessa Tx, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. 

Preceded in death by her husband Manuel G. Garza, her parents, Roman and Rafaela Alcala, her sisters Sabina A. Guerrero and Siria A, Nava and Jesse Alcala. 

A special thank you to the Shannon South ICU Team of Nurses and Dr. Zain Hakeem for their thoughtful care of our mother during her time at the hospital. 

Rosary will be at Harper Funeral Home and Crematory on Wednesday, December 1st at 6:00 PM. 
Funeral at Harper Funeral Home and Crematory on Thursday, December 2nd at 2pm with interment at Lawnhaven Memorial Garden. Pallbearers will be George Nava, Justin Nava, Jarrett Longoria and Manuel Garza.

Dorothy Jean Parr

Dorothy Jean McClusky-Parr went to her heavenly home on November 25th, 2021. Dorothy was born to Ernest and Mertie McClusky in Conroe, Texas on October 4th, 1938. She moved around the state of Texas with her family as she grew up. Through her adult life, Dorothy was fortunate enough to live and travel the world as she raised her two boys. She was married to Bob Parr in 1988 and shortly thereafter, left the Texas area to operate La-Z-Boy stores in Orlando FL. After they retired, they moved back to Keller, Texas, where she was a member of the First Baptist Church. 


Dorothy was a true Christian, a devoted wife, and a wonderful mother. She was loved by so many. Dorothy is survived by her two sons, Robert and David Odom, her daughter-in laws Rhonda and Massiel Odom, her granddaughters Kelsey and Grace Odom, her Stepdaughter Kristie Reed and husband Russel, and step grandson Bobbie Reed, as well as numerous step great-grandchildren. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Bob Parr, her Parents Ernest and Mertie McClusky, and her brother Elton McClusky. 


A special thanks goes out to her caretaker “Z” Zainabu Birungi and Open Arms TLC for providing their wonderful care, friendship, and love as Dorothy’s health declined. 
Graveside services to honor her memory will be held at 10am on November 30th at Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Penelope "Peep" Scott Paz

Penelope Scott Paz , “Peep” 62, of San Angelo Tx , gained her wings and went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, November 25th at 3:30pm. She was surrounded by family and loved . She was born on 07/23/1959 in New Jersey to Walter and Lavern Scott but grew up and was raised right here in San Angelo Tx. She graduated from Central High School in 1977. She became a certified barber cosmetologist in Colorado. She had started a nursing degree to be an RN surgical nurse, but moved to Florida to be close to her mom. After 5 years she moved back to Texas with her daughter.

She went on to become a professional truck driver, and enjoyed the travel and seeing new places. She was also an artist, she enjoyed painting and drawing. She was blessed with three grandchildren who she loved and cherished with all her heart. She was a very kind and generous person and she never met a stranger. She is survived by her spouse Alexander Paz. Her daughter, Ashley Lawler and spouse Juan Lugo. Her grandchildren Jessika , Hayleigh , and Maddoxx. Her mother Lavern and spouse Bill. Her brother Walter and spouse Sandy. And her Dog Rocky. She is predeceased by her father Walter Scott and siblings Patti, LoriEllen, Tommy, and Terry. Celebration of life memorial will be held at Harper Funeral home on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 11:00 am .

Ben Franklin Lacy

Ben Franklin Lacy, 80, passed peacefully on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at his home surrounded by family. 


Ben was born February 13, 1941 in San Angelo, Texas to Lester Ewin and Loma Frances Lacy. He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Exa and W.A. Smith; brother, Lester Ewin “Sonny” Lacy; and sister Donita Kay Lacy. 


He married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Glenda Joy Smith of Miles, Texas, and they celebrated 63 wonderful anniversaries together. 


Ben was raised in Miles, Texas, where he expressed a keen interest in sports as a true Bulldog athlete. His love of sports was something he carried with him throughout his life. He attended San Angelo College, The University of Texas at Austin, and graduated from Southwest Texas State University. 


Ben was a true jack of all trades, and his entrepreneurship took him and his family to all ends of Texas. His career started with pharmaceutical sales, followed by becoming the owner/operator of farm implement dealerships. Ben also was a real estate owner and operator, and was co-owner of The Tierra Group, a real estate sales and management company. All along, he kept up with his ranching and farming roots, and worked alongside his family at Benchmark Research as CFO and sage advisor, helping further revolutionary advancements in pharmaceutical development. 


His greatest loves were his wife and family, his loyal pups, sports (golf in particular), and good ol’ belly laughs. He was happiest spending quality time out on his ranch in Miles, Texas. 


Ben is survived by his wife, Glenda; son Mark Lester Lacy and Scott Barrett of Austin; daughter Cynthia LeAnn and husband Dr. William Michael Seger of Forth Worth; grandchildren Benjamin Ewin Seger and wife Julia, Joseph Michael Seger, Lacy Kathleen Seger, Maria Elizabeth Seger, and James Dalton Seger; and great grandson William Ewin Seger. 


Ben lived his life to the fullest, always seeking and finding adventures. He wholly encompassed life as a son of the Republic of Texas. 


The family would like to thank Dr. Anderton and his office staff at Shannon for taking such good care of our “Pawp”. 


A visitation will be held on Monday, November 29, 2021 at Harper Funeral Home in San Angelo, Texas, from five to seven o’clock in the evening. 


The funeral service for Ben will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at two o’clock at Miles Methodist Church. A burial procession will follow at Miles Cemetery. 
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Miles Cemetery Association to honor Ben’s work as a member of the board.
