SAN ANGELO Joseph Anthony Alcala Del Rio, 17, of San Angelo, our loving son, brother, cousin, nephew and friend went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 19, 2014, in San Angelo. Prayer service is at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014, in Johnson's Funeral Home chapel. Funeral service is at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2014, at House of Faith with the Rev. Jimmy Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Joseph was born Feb. 8, 1997, in San Angelo, Texas, to Ricardo Jr. and Margaret Del Rio. He was a junior at Lake View High School and was involved in the Lake View band and orchestra and the Iron Works powerlifting team. In his spare time he was an origami enthusiast and loved taking care of his three cats. Joseph was a very inspiring young man who lifted the spirits of everyone around him. He was a positive influence to anyone he met and loved to bring out the best in his friends and family. Joseph adored his family and especially loved being around his brothers and sisters and always went out of his way to teach them and share his love with them. Joseph was an incredible young man and his love will live on in our hearts forever. He is survived by his parents, Ricardo Jr. and Margaret Del Rio; his siblings, Ariona, Ricardo III, Dylanie, Rickson, Kalvin and Ezekiel Del Rio, all of San Angelo; his grandparents, Ricardo and Angie Del Rio and Joe and Juanita Alcala; aunts Esmeralda Trevino, Rose Enriquez, Charlotte and Cecilio, Caldera Jr., Juanita Alcala and husband Eric Rivas, Roxanne and Rosemary Del Rio; and numerous cousins, extended family and friends. Pallbearers for the service will be Kalvin Del Rio, Gabriel Alcala, Ezmo Trevino, Ezekiel Del Rio, Juan Alcala and Abram Lozano. The family wishes to extend their sincerest thanks and appreciation to House of Faith and Calvary Catholic Cemetery. They would also like to extend a special thanks to Carmen Satterwhite. "A Letter To My Momy" Roses are red, violets are blue, And no matter what I say I love you. Momy I love you and I always will And I will stay with you my whole life P.S.
